Are travel receipts and photos alone sufficient? Any other evidence that needs to be summitted? 

Do you need to upload a picture of your spouse taken together to the if the CR-1 is filled online? 

Can you file the initial petition for CR-1 Visa online?

What are the documents required from fiancé to file a K1 visa other than the letter of intent and a picture? Do you need a birth certificate? 

Are you able to e-file the K1 visa or you need to mail in an application? 

Can someone please post the documents list to start the K1 Visa?

How long NVC processing took after USCIS approval?

Do you mind sharing when you submitted the Fiancé petition last year? Curious how long it takes for approval these days.

I also asked embassy to expedite the appointment due to medical reasons. After your NVC expedite, you must also ask for a 2nd expedite at the embassy through their immigrant visa processing email. This is usually Consular(embassyname)@state.gov

I just got the appointment confirmation today 10/14. Here is my entire timeline. 

Expedite Request 7/28

Under Review 9/20

DQd both 9/23. Documents Submitted to NVC on 7/14 (mother) and 7/19 (father)

Expedite Approval 9/28

Appointment 10/19

My parents petitions were expedited by NVC and embassy last week. I got an email from NVC saying file was sent to the embassy on 7/29 and I will hear soon from them. How soon embassy normally responds back with an appointment time? As of today 10/6, i have no emails from the embassy.

So my US Citizen mom has depression plus communications disability. And I am the only taking care of her. I am working full time job and I have to miss some days of work because of my mom doctor appointment plus need to be under my supervision in some case.. 

Do you thing my situation or my case eligible for expedite? 

It doesn't hurt to ask. Just be honest and explain how expediting it could make a significant difference in your lives in couple of sentences.

Yes. I got notice it was shipped to the embassy yesterday. My embassy severs 2 small countries - Sri Lanka and Maldives. Their backlog should be relatively short.

Yes. This is exactly what I sent since I had nothing to attach. We asked a doctor but she refused to give a letter. I was hoping they come back and ask for documents but they expedited it anyway. My father is currently bedridden without his DBS pacemaker. If your story sounds legitimate, they will expedite it even without the documents.

 What do I need to expedite my parent's two petitions? My father needs to be evaluated to undergo a brain surgery upon arrival to re-install his Parkinson's brain pacemaker that was removed due to an infection.

Keep the expedite request short and simple. Explain in couple of sentences. Less is more. More you write, less believable your story. I didn't even include any attachments. 

For anyone trying to expedite their case, here is my advise. Keep the expedite request short and simple. Less is more. Mine was only  2 sentences.

We are in the middle of filing one so I’d like to hear your experience. 

It will take 1.5-2 months to hear back once you submit the request. Here is my timeline

7/28 Expedite Request Submitted

9/20 Under Review Email 

9/28 Approval

My expedite request was just approved. I guess this is moot now. 

Got this today. 

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate has accepted this case for expedited processing. We will send this file immediately to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

How soon after being DQd you can expect to get an appointment date from NVC these days? 

I am still waiting for a approval decision my expedite request. My parents were DQd yesterday.

Finally a good news. I got DQd today for both my parents. My mom's files were submitted on 7/14. Fathers 7/19 to NVC. Both were approved today 9/23. My expedite request submitted on 7/28 - still waiting for decision. I got under review email on 9/20. 

No. Mine is 7/14. I feel left out but i got an email saying my expedite request submitted on 7/28 was under review. Hope at least one will give me a positive result soon.

How long did it take from NVC under review email to decision email from the embassy? Did you also get an appointment? How long did that take from approval email from embassy?
