    sorry for asking again,

How do you talk to an agent?

Can i speak to one online? or do i just call them up on monday?

I don’t know the exact terminology you need to use online to speak with one. Maybe just keep typing “live agent”. But if you call on Monday say “info pass or I lost my receipt #” and you’ll get connected right away

I would talk to an agent. That’s the standard message that you get when you look up the case status as well

@kkeys Update: Just spoke with one of the representative using live chat option on USCIS website and they told me that my case is being processed at Vermont Service Center. Current processing time for I-130 cases at Vermont SC is 30 Months to 39 Months!!!!!!! 😭

I wouldn’t get discouraged. There have been a lot of cases filed this year that have gotten approval quickly at Vermont and CA. Hang in there!

So our case was "touched" I believe today. In my app it shows the same message was sent again today "Case was Received and a Receipt Notice was Sent."

The first time they sent this message  back last year it said "Emailed" instead of "sent" another user in our forum here pointed that out.  But could it mean they are doing something with our case, why else would they send out the same message again? It happened to several cases that I follow in my app. Only I can't tell if their case is in Vermont, but it happened today.

Has this happened to anyone else before? Just curious..

It seems like a lot of people on the Lawfully app and facebook group are experiencing the same. Could just be a glitch.

Will they use the priority date of I-130 petition when they actually received my petition i.e. March 15 or the one when they actually cashed out my check?

So my I-130 was delivered to the Phoenix lockbox on 2/11/2021. It was marked as “received” on the 18th of March. Check was cashed the 23rd.

NOA1 receipt in mail shows the priority date as 2/11/21

    Hi All,

I have filed paper based I-130 petition for my spouse and it got delivered on March 15,2021 at Dallas TX lockbox. I have not received any Notice of Action on my petition nor they cashed out my mailed check. I’m worried why it’s taking that long, can someone update me?

    Thanks

Nothing to be worried about. Lock boxes are delayed. It’s taking some people 4-6 weeks for their checks to get cashed and get a receipt #

OH okay I see. Hope you hear good news soon and get a quick approval!! Meanwhile I'm considering moving to Russia to be with my husband since I am so disappointed in our service center lmao

Haha, I hear you. Thank you! Luckily I have a flexible job so I’ll just be going back and forth every few months. But I would just keep in mind the AOS aspect if you move and end up leaving your job.

I am trying to see if my documents have been uploaded. Do I go into my USCIS account and "add a paper-filed case"? It is asking for some online authorization number that will apparently be mailed to me within 30 days. Is this what you guys did or is it something else?

Yes, once you get the access code in the mail you can add your paper case and then under “documents” you should be able to see your uploads.

I did receive my first 797C today from Texas Service Center which has my spouse's name, receipt number and it shows the payment amount. It does not state where my case is being processed. Looking up my receipt number on USCIS online, it says it is being processed at Nebraska and the rep confirmed that.

So,  you are saying a second 797C letter will be sent with more details including my online access code  which I can use to add my paper-filed case to my USCIS online account that I created?

    Thanks for your reply, btw.

Yes, that is correct. Looks like we are in the same boat. Online says Nebraska, NOA1 mailed from Texas... Seems like a lot of filers initially see Nebraska. Im wondering if its just a default before they assign it to a different center.

This is so confusing...... I received a letter today (Form I-797C) from the Texas Service Center that shows my petition information and when USCIS received my paper-form. It has the same receipt number that I got via text message.

I called CIS and the rep said in their system it is showing my case is being processed at Nebraska. She also told me she has no idea why I got a letter from Texas Service Center. According to her, USCIS has not even sent me a notice letter yet. So what the heck is from I-797C that I received today???

Lastly, I created an online account on USCIS and wanted to add my paper-filed case to my online account. In addition to my receipt number, it is asking me for an access code. When will I get the access code?  Does it come in a separate letter or will it be send when they actually send me another notice letter?

    Any help is appreciated.

Hi. So when I first filed by mail I got the receipt # via text message. It said it was processing in Nebraska. However the 797 was mailed from Texas, and phone reps say it is in CA.

You should be receiving the 797 shortly. I received two. One is the "account access". It tells you how to make an online account and it gives you the access code you need to make one. The other will be the receipt which is also a 797. Shows your spouse name, the fee you paid, the priority date etc.

If you look up your case online right now vs creating an account you will literally see the same info. I was so eager for a paper receipt and to make an account but you will still get the same status update. I am assuming yours right now states "Your case has been received and is being processed at the so and so service center".
