Hello!
My spouse and I submitted 2019 tax documents to the NVC and were DQ'd in February 2021, as that was the most recent tax year available (2020 was not filed yet). However, now that received an interview date in August (yay!), 2020 taxes have been filed and are now the most recent. I am the petitioner, and my stepfather is a joint sponsor. I have both of our 2020 tax returns and W-2s, but do I also need new I-864 Affidavit of Supports? I do not live with him, so it's not an I-864a. To add to the confusion, my stepfather also claims his daughter as a dependent every other year on taxes, so the household size went up by one from 2019 to 2020.
Thank you!

Hi Guys
Like many others we have finally received our interview date this month!
I was looking at booking my flight now as they are incredibly expensive nearer the time in August, due to summer holiday's etc.
Does anyone who has had their interview have a rough time it took for their passport to be returned to them after the interview? Any notable exceptions?
Thank you and kind regards
Harry and Carie

All,
Just had my email through for an appointment August 10th, no expedite or transfers for me. Will update my timeline in due course. DQ for me was Feb 23rd FYI for those that are waiting and wondering. Far too excited right now but embassy and NVC ARE processing slowly! Keep the faith.
SO EXCITED FOR YOU!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! We were DQ 26th Feb and I've JUST come down with Covid so hopefully things line up for us.
So happy for you and happy to hear things are moving.

I just checked through emails, we never received a 60 day email from the NVC after the DQ email? It would have been late April, never got one...

I booked an appointment online yesterday for July 1st and there were lots of open dates from July 1st (first available) through July 15th or 16th I think, nothing in June, in fact from memory there were appointments available on every day. On the day I chose there were a total of 3 open time slots (all in the morning). I should add that this is for an IR1 interview.
Hope that helps.
When were you DQ? Any special expedite? How come you got to book your interview, I thought the NVC just assigned it to you? I thought booking interviews was only for NIV. It would be very helpful if you filled out your timeline.

So is there anything we can do in the meantime? DQ late February and absolutely nothing since. I know we're not the only ones in this situation but I was just wondering.

Nothing here either. Seems it's next month for us now! 😭😭😭

We DQ'd February 26th, so nervous to see if we have a chance to be included in the next batch! Not expecting it, as the government moves at their own pace.
The Department of State posts visa stats for each month. London issued 58 CR1/54 IR1 visas in February 2021, and 126 CR1/106 IR1 visas in March 2021. So excited to see things moving! 😁

Hi all
On the 26th February we were DQ! It's moved very fast so far so we're very happy.
When we got married, we got three copies of our marriage certificate. Carie took one home with her, and I kept two in the UK. However, last week we realised I had uploaded the scan of my wife's copy of our marriage certificate, since she already had the scan to hand, which had become DQ. The marriage certificates have a clear serial number on them, so when I bring documents to the interview it is clear that it is not the same document! I was wondering what our options are here now? I can think of two options and was wondering what people thought would be best to reduce / negate any possible delays.
Option 1: Carie posts me the copy of our marriage certificate she scanned. We still probably have a few months to interviews so I'm not worried about it not getting here in time. However if it gets lost in the post etc or for some reason there is a huge delay this could be problematic.
Option 2: I scan and upload one of the copies of my marriage certificate to CEAC and I bring that with me to the interview. I was concerned whether updating documents after we've already been DQ'd might cause a delay or problems? Is this common?
Thank you very much and I hope to hear your thoughts on this!

Pre-Move Anxiety
in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Posted
Hello! As we are only a few weeks away from "the big move", my husband expressed having some (understandable!) nervousness about his new life in the US. Does anyone have any resources, advice, or anecdotes about their move and adjusting over here? I know he's worried about how to make new friends and leaving old friends in England. I want to support him as best I can through this stressful but exciting time, so I thought I would ask people who have already been through it! Thanks!
