  1. hello to everyone!

i would like to know if anyone here has done K2 follow-to-join option. what documents did your K2 child/children bring to the interview? did you have to fill up a new Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) and have it notarized again? did you have to send new bank statements, form 1040, employment letter?

    would appreciate your advice. thanks!

  3. hello!

this question is directed to anyone who has experienced the same situation as i have. my problem is that i need to go home to my country, philippines, in order to attend the graduation of my daughter. i just got my green card today. i didn't file for application to travel together with my adjustment status papers since i read in the topics here that we can apply for it at a later date. my question now is if i apply for an application to travel, will i have to pay the fee? from what i understand in the instructions on the form, i don't have to pay it anymore. any valuable insights to my problem please? thanks so much in advance for your help.

  4. Hi everyone,

I would like some help with regards to the processing of my daughter's k2 application. i have just been interviewed by Homeland Security and the guy who interviewed me said to expect my green card within 2-3 weeks.

Now, I want to start processing my daughter's k2 application. My USC husband included her name in the I-129 application when we filed it in the Philippines. I have so many questions as follows:

    1. Who files the application? me or my USC husband?

    2. What form do we use?

    3. What documents do I need to prepare for the processing?

    4. Would you know how long it usually takes for the K2 processing?

    5. How much do we have to pay?

I hope someone out there who has undergone the same process can help me out here please. I miss my daughter so much and I would want to bring her here to the US before May 2009 since that is the date I was approved for my US visa in the Philippines. Thank you so much for your help!

    God bless you all!

  7. Hello! Our interview is scheduled on Dec. 15, 2008 in San Jose, California. One of the documents listed to bring to the interview is the Birth Certificate of the US citizen. My problem is that my husband doesn't have a copy of his birth certificate. He only has a baptismal certificate. He claims that is what he used also when he became a US citizen in the '80s. Do you think we need to still get a copy of his birth certificate from the Philippines? That would take several weeks if I would request it from our country. DO you think that it will be a big deal if we didn't have that document? We have his Certificate of Naturalization. Our only problem is the birth certificate. I hope someone can help me out with this problem. thanks!

  8. since the medical examination and vaccination were part of the k1 visa process within 1 year, , you don't need any medical form .i called the imigration services and they told me i didn't need it .well you can all the immigration services yourself and tell them about your case, they 'll help you .1-800-375-5283

hi, i just called the immigration services # you emailed. the guy i talked to said that a medical examination is a requirement in the AOS process. i pointed out to him that it says on the USCIS site that for K1 visa, there is no need for a medical examination as long as the I485 is filed within one year of the overseas medical examination. he still insists that i have to undergo the medical otherwise i will be required to have the medical before the interview. so now i am totally going berserk!!! haha....this medical process is making me more confused than visa waiting time in Manila!

  9. wow! i think you paid too much. i just paid $30 for the civil surgeon to transcribe my st. lukes vaccination to the I-693. Fast and cheap! I had to shop around for the cheapest civil surgeon though. There are a lot out there who charge soooo much!

    hi deezee,

where did you have your medical done? i have been scouting around the san jose area and majority of the certified civil surgeons charge $100-$300++. this is totally absurd! why do we need to pay for another medical when we already paid st. lukes in manila an exorbitant rate for our medical? my husband and i are contemplating on whether to have the medical done or just pass the vaccination worksheet alone...pls tell me where you had yours done for $30...the name of the civil surgeon, his address and tel# too...thanks!!

  12. No matter how much we rack our brains out to find out the reasons for the delay in visa processing, i think we will not get to the bottom of it at this point in time. We will just go crazy trying to find that out. I think that we should all make a move that all vj members who are stuck, got stuck before, and might get stuck in the future in this horrible mess, WE ALL WRITE COMPLAINT LETTERS TO DELBROS (since it is a private company) so that Delbros management will somehow wake up and try to rethink their procedures. I feel that if we all write, then am sure there will be an action from the Delbros management. Whether that is wishful thinking or not, we will never know until we all try it out. What do you think guys?

  13. This is really a momentous occasion! It deserves a BIG celebration!!!! You guys must be the most celebrated couple this hour! I am super mega happy for you both and am sure the entire VJ family is also super mega happy for you both after waiting for a very very long time for the visa. So on to the next journey...ticket, CFO, fly to the US and happy reunion!!!!
