    August 2020: Filed I-751

November 2020: I-751 transferred to NBC

July 2021: Filed N-400 in Atlanta

April 2021: file a FOIA request to find out why the I-751 hasn't moved and request copy of N-400 file

My wife is changing her name so I think she will have to take oath in front of a judge. According to the northern district of Georgia's website, there are oath ceremonies August 12 and August 26, so hopefully we are under 2 months away from being completely finished

She passed her citizenship and I-751 was approved. We asked for same day oath and they have one today! Going back at 1130 to take the oath

How long did it take to receive a notification for your i-751 that it's been transferred to another office to process with n-400?

I filed n-400 two weeks ago and my pending i-751 still pending and no notification about transferring

Is it possible that i-751 will be approved before n-400?

We filed for N-400 in July 2021. We still don't have an update on I-751 since it was transferred to NBC in November 2020.

I filed a FOIA request on both the N-400 and I-751 on April 26, 2022 and we received my wife's interview notice for N-400 on May 2nd. FOIA was completed this morning. Still no notifications on I-751

  7. Has anyone had success filing a FOIA request related to a very out of time I-751? Does anyone know how to cancel?

We filed in August 2020 and no movement since. I filed an out of time request and there was no response. Filed N-400 in July 2021.

I filed a FOIA request in April and it had an estimated completion date of June 8, 2022. On June 2, 2022 we got my wife's N-400 scheduled for interview for July 14, 2022.

Well we were already near the queue of the FOIA request so I figured why not see it through to completion. We were up to approximately 150th in queue and it kept kicking us to a later completion date. Finally June 15 came and went and they began moving us down the queue. We are now 1500th place in the queue with an estimated completion date of the already passed June 16th.

So we have the N-400 scheduled. I want to just cncel. I dont want anything to get in the way of the July 14th interview (potential that the files dont get transferred to our field office). But there's nothing online about how to cancel. The FOIA email account stopped responding to me when I asked how to cancel. Calling they will not put you through to an agent regarding FOIA.

Our status is the following so I'm wondering if I can't stop it now that they've already pulled the docs: Case in Process-

The National Records Center is processing your responsive documents

After our combo interview on May 16th in Sacramento for our i751 ROC case we got a notice of approval today.

Both our natulzation and our ROC cases have been approved and we are awaiting the oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Not expecting a new 10 year green card due to the pending oath ceremony.

18 plus months since the case was moved to the NBC from the California Service Center to get approval and 25 months overall.

Did they tell you ahead of time that it was a combo interview? My wife got her N400 interview notice for next month, but the I-751 is still stuck on

Hi my oath ceremony is at the same building, I also had a green card renewal pending , but it became obsolete after I passed the citizenship test. The officer never mentioned it at all.

    Interesting, thanks

I was under the impression they had to approve the I-751 before you became a citizen, even if it's just them checking that box

Maybe they checked the box for you

Just had i interview, lasted about 10 mins including questions and test. Very nice officer...I looked online at my account and they have already mailed a oath ceremony date for June 24 . This was Atlanta office , I filed in Oct 2020.

Is family allowed at Oath ? It will be in Atlanta, thx

    where is your oath ceremony?

We got notice last week that my wife's interview is set for July 14. She still has a pending I-751 and we didnt get any word on that, so I hope they do the interview together.

Hi All! Had my interview on April 20th! Got approval, and oath ceremony was last Friday May 13! I am officially a US Citizen 🙏🏼
    what is next?

Are you all applying for something else?

    What was your ROC like?

If you recall our cases were similar, filed for N400 in late July in Atlanta for my Colombian wife

However we haven't heard anything and the ROC is still pending with no movement since late 2020

within 20 business days of receipt of your request, FOIA does permit a 10-day extension of this time
period in certain circumstances. Due to the increasing number of FOIA requests received by this office,
we may encounter some delay in processing your request. Additionally, due to the scope and nature of

pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 552(a)(6)(B). Please contact our office if you would like to limit the scope of your
request or to agree on a different timetable for the processing of your request. We will make every effort

$4.00/$7.00/$10.25 per quarter hour, and for duplication of copies at the rate of $.10 per copy. The first
100 copies and two hours of search time are not charged, and the remaining combined charges for search
and duplication must exceed $14.00 before we will charge you any fees. Most requests do not require any
fees; however, if fees in excess of $25.00 are required, we will notify you beforehand.
