    Silly question

Isn't WAC number private? Or is it like public information provided by USCIS?

How accurate are these apps to change the filing status from received to approved etc? I am using the app for android USCIS case which let's me search 100 numbers at a time.

It’s public info but your details will not be made public. So no one knows the name of the petitioner and beneficiary and details unless they are somehow able to link it to a case number which the person would have to disclose themselves or there was a huge hack and leak of info

I've just joined and so I apologise if I've missed anything (I've been scouring the forums for a while now) but I figured I'd ask for thoughts. We applied for a K1 in Jan 2020, got the NOA2 in September 2020, but haven't had anything since then. We've called them and it's just 'we're waiting on the embassy' in so many words. I'm from the UK, so I'm wondering if it's simply pending until the London Embassy opens up properly. Does anyone have any ideas on that or if there's a place to look in regards to UK applicants?

Yes they are backlogged are the moment but potentially trying to work through it.

oooh good to know, my partner lives in Canberra but has Sydney family to stay with, so might be able to get up there to interview if he has a couple day's notice of cancellations... I'll let him know about this tip once we actually get our NVC-Sydney info.

I didn’t know this either. I’m in Sydney so I can get to the consulate easily. Thank you for the info!

I’ve tried calling 7 times so far but keep receiving the same pre-recorded “Sorry, all of our callers are busy” and it hangs up :(

Le sigh - why does this not surprise me 🙃 I’m sorry I have no other suggestion. I know sometimes to get past the USCIS robot you can say certain things and it will transfer you to a human But with NVC I’m not too sure

My level of frustration with USCIS is at max ! There is always an excuse for their inefficiency (COVId-19, policy, and of course now a Holiday excuse ....)  I am a November 4th applicant that has spent more than 200 days away from the United States to be with my fiancé.... how is it possible that we (taxpayers) are subject to this and have to act like they are doing is a favor? Ugh . I see people already jumping ship with dealing their applications and getting married because of the delays .... the country is open, propel are vaccinated and Federal Employees must go back to work .....

Agreed. Nightclubs and football games are at full capacity, yet these guys can’t work properly. No excuse whatsoever.

    Hi group,

I have received text confirmation of my application arrival to TX

    In summary,

Application was delivered at USIC on May 21,2021

USIC, texted with notification on June 1st, 2021

Check was deposited on June 2nd.

Is NOA1 different from a Text which I got ?

    Thank you

The text is basically is your NOA1 notification, so you can relax now :) you can use the WAC number in the text to check your case status online at https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

In a week or so you will get your official paper NOA1 notice

I just mean the rate at which cases are being processed.  April was the peak rate with cases being processed in the 60+ range daily.  June looks like it might be in the 30s with somewhere in the 10s being the accepted rate.  There are more RFEs than general in progress cases so I think they will prioritize getting those numbers down.  Assuming that everyone is providing the evidence for their respective RFEs.

Ah ok. Forever impressed with your graphs haha thank you!

Much better result today, less than 35% remaining and just broke through to less than 1k cases remaining.
Probably going to scratch 70% in the next two weeks.  I don't know what the ceiling is for month, I estimate that its closer to an 80% completion rate; though that really comes down to how many RFE's get turned around.

I expect that the case-rate is going to go even lower by the end of the month; we will see.

    What does the case-rate mean?

does this mean certain countries are scheduling interviews and issuing visas as normal? do you know if that's the case for any european countries which had previously been shut due to the travel ban?

Australia is, probably New Zealand too. European countries may have to deal with the backlogs from the embassies being closed so they may still be issuing interviews and visas to people who are waiting from last year

Thank you. I am petitioner too and my fiancé (she) is beneficiary. So I will start preparing I-134 and have it ready since she is not working in Iran. so as soon as cases approved or received noa 2 she can get police report and medical reports right? Is that all we need filling out I-134 in my part and her part medical and police reports correct? Or is there something else do I need to prepare for?

Her English is not very good now (in process of learning). Will that be a problem in interview (she is learning now and i am sure she will be ok in 3-4 months if she gets interview by then). Our first language is Farsi (we communicate in Farsi).

    thanks again :)

Language not a problem in the interview, they shoulder offer her a translator and she has every right to ask for one :)

Farsi is such a beautiful language, and I love the food!

Hi friends - here's the weekly roundup (compared to last week's numbers, not the mid-week ones)!

They are making their way through cases, though mostly concentrated on the first half of October. Average cases processed per day is nearly at 60! This does however include November filers which I think is reflected in the later case ranges (16500-20000).

I've also done something different this week and pulled together a table based purely on October received date. This should include most petitions, with the exceptions noted above and below the table (I had statuses from Apr 27 that I was able to reference for Received Dates before most processing began). About 3/4 of October cases are still pending and haven't been looked it. Second half of the month is also still virtually untouched. Another interesting note is that they're issuing pretty even numbers of Approved and RFEs (12% vs 11%).

So good. Thank you so much :) 60 cases a day is a pretty solid average, hopefully processing times pick up!

Do you think they are trying to do both October and November at the same time to decrease the processing time? Are they only doing certain days in November or have they started at the beginning and are moving through? I know a few days in November were randomly approved really early...

Thats awesome! We used a lawyer for the filing and we still got RFEd and after we got the approval a few weeks ago I reached out to see if they have any suggestions for the next step. Nothing at all.

I think we are going to do AOS ourselves.

I think we will do the same. Our application is still in the NOA2 process and we are hoping for something by July but I have spotted 2 mistakes already on the petition that I kNOW would not have happened if I had been doing it. I am an extreme perfectionist so the only good thing about using the lawyer was that we submitted everything and it was sent, if it had been me I would have been going over and over the paperwork and probably delayed our submission. The mistakes have now probably earned us an RFE which would not have happened.

I plan to do AoS ourselves too. We only paid for the petition part of the fee so might just part ways once I land in the US. Frustrating!

Ohh yeah. maybe on here there are only 68 cases but not everyone creates a VJ account. In total there are over 2000 cases. If you look at the september stats that @JobbinsKnobbins post you will see that September had almost 3,000 cases. I think October had a similar amount as well.

ohhhh YES maybe that's what they meant! I took it to mean 68 cases in total had been filed for the month and was thinking wow what happened in October that so few people filed

So based on the previous with using Lawfully, I did not realize how there were only 56 I-129F cases in January.  I ended up going with the pro version for the next few months just to get the same type of layout in the app that sept/oct has in their spreadsheet.  There are 2 approvals so far!  I guess when the December/February ones were getting cases created, January kind of slid in with them.  I am hopeful to see movement when december starts picking up.  And i know she will be happy to hear when that happens also.  We are all doing great though hanging in there and not losing hope.

Oh wow! I wonder why so few…even October only had something like 68 I think someone posted here and said. We are December filers though I have a feeling December May have had a few more cases though I hope I’m wrong and maybe December has just as few as January!

Overall this week has been consistent with the daily case acceptance rate.  September should be crossing 50% approval by tomorrow, And in early next week there will be less than 40% of cases being actively worked on.  I'll post the updated area graph tomorrow to illustrate the progress over the past ~6 weeks or so.  A lot has happened over this time period and things are still moving forward.

So thankful not only for the graphs and tables (and time taken to do them I'm sure!) but also for your explanation - I have never been good at reading graphs and tables but your explanations are so reassuring. Thank you :)
