My fiance had his interview yesterday. He was NOT approved. They said we needed "proof of relationship". I guess the chat logs, pictures, western union receipts etc. weren't good enough.

No I didn't because in past they were allowed in the waiting area but you the beneficiary were the only one they would interview.
Well maybe they still allow them in the waiting area. I don't know about that but yes only you would be doing the interview. In the packet 3 it says only if have some type of disability and need someone to assist you then you can bring someone with you to the embassy.

Thanks for the info, still some weeks before we at interview stage. I just wanted to know so my fiance can figure out when to apply for leave to come for the interview!
No problem. You do know that only the beneficiary is allowed in the embassy for the interview right?

Hi there. How are you? Are they assigning the interview date or are we allowed to choose (based on what's available?)
You can go to the appointment website and once you see a date available just click on it. If the embassy gets your case soon you might be able to get an interview in July. Right now they have July 26, and 31 available.

Also what's the shortest time anyone here called nvc from receipt date of their noa2 and got the case number?
Lately most people are not getting their case number for 20+ days. Some closer to a month. Luckily I got mine in only 12 days.

No, don't just put any date, put a date that is roughly when you're intending to travel. You won't be held to this date however.
As far as I know there isn't a question about length of stay in the US..unless you're referring to the previous visits section?
I was going to put the end of July as the intending date. The length of stay was under the travel section. But when I put that he was using a k1 the question was removed. Thank you for your reply!

Does anybody know what I should put on the DS-160 where it says length of stay in the US? And do I just put any date for intended arrival?

Need of help!
Is there a reason my CEAC still says in transit when it was posted on the 22/5 (confirmed by NVC) and I've noticed a few peoples that are going to the same embassy (U.K.) were posted on the 26/5 and have updated there timeline to consulate received 31/5.
My status has been "In Transit" since 5/22 also. I know the embassy has to have received it by now. It only takes a few days to get there. I think they just didn't update it in their system.

Does your tracker says in transit ?
I had my case number Monday but mine still says "at nvc"
I got my case number a week ago and it said at NVC until last night. Now it says in transit.

Hello so great to stumble across another Trini. Not many of us here at all. First Thursday of every month, you can get vaccines free at the health centre here in Trinidad. I got Hep B, Chicken Pox, getting MMR and Flu next(they won't give you all the Vaccines together). Also I think if you go with letter from general practitioner they will give them to you on other days besides tgese Thursdays or as many as they can give you safely in one visit.
Great info! I will tell my fiance about that in case he has to get any vaccines.

Yaaaaay.....I been stalking you!!! #noshame... saying to myself "This girl ain't got approved yet" .I imagine the waiting was of course worse for you but yeesssss!!! Happy dance and congratulations!!!!
Thanks! Yes it was a long wait. And now there is more waiting to get my case number from the NVC. We actually got approved a week ago on the 5th and didn't know it. So hopefully no more than 2 weeks until I get the case number. Everything seems to go faster at that point. My fiance still hasn't gotten his passport, birth certificate or police report back and he applied in March! Things are so slow in Trinidad. I hope that doesn't slow us down.

I just mailed off my consent form to the Senator to have them look into my case. Hopefully it helps. I just want them to go through my file and give me an RFE or approval, but I need to know something now.

The two cases before mine have been approved. And the case after mine was approved. What about me?! I wanna be touched too.

If you take a look at the data I posted last night, focus on the chart for touched versus untouched cases. It looks like (to me) they are consistent with the number of cases that are touched daily. It's true that the number of approvals dropped to nothing for a few days, however, the pattern I think I see is them trying to touch every case. Only 30% of January cases remain untouched. This means we should see the untouched cases shrinking, resulting in us seeing an RFE or approved, soon. Once again this is all based upon an assumption that they are trying to get every case into an untouched state state as quickly as possible.
With good data each day, I hope that we can start seeing the patterns and have a better view of what's going on over there. We can only guess at the end of the day, I think.
What I don't understand is why there are certain people (in December for example) who seem to have just been skipped.
Well that's good that it's only 30% left of January. However, it sucks that I'm one of them! I would definitely rather see an RFE instead of my case remaining untouched.

I hope today will bring better results because yesterday was just pathetic.

Here's to hoping for another productive week at the CSC! Best of luck to everyone waiting on NOA2 or their case number from the NVC.
Wishing you luck because you have been waiting WAY too long!

Day 98 for me. Hopefully this week will bring good news. I seriously don't think I can go another 2-3 weeks. This is really starting to get to me now.

They haven't started touching any January 24 cases yet. Some Jan 23 have been approved. So maybe next week hopefully for me. I hate all this waiting!

He answered all the questions correctly. I think it has more to do with his mother being in the U.S. He said they asked alot of questions about her. They might assume he wants to come here for her instead of getting married. Even though he hasn't seen her in 32 years, but he didn't mention that.
They just asked the standard questions about our relationship. How we met. What I did for a living. When we plan on getting married. They didn't deny him. They said just mail in more proof of an established relationship and his passport. So I think we might still have a chance. We have more proof to send so we're working on that now.
