I'm another one of those June filers who haven't been touched, who haven't been anything since June. Every morning I read this thread and lately I've been getting so depressed. I'm happy for all the July filers but what about me? I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. I just want control over my life back!

Thank you....Im sure you can understand...its nothing against July filers...but the process. Im sure you'd feel the same if everyone else around you and AFTER you were getting word...while you sit and get conflicting information and told to call back in 30 MORE days..(3rd month of being told that)....Anyone that doesnt mind group hugs, venting, crying and is looking for support, comfort and a place to OFFER support come on over...even if you aren't a june/july filer...group hugs are very much needed.

my fiance has her interview in 8 hours. im waiting up all night to see what happens. im very nervous. after 180 days it comes down to this. if all goes well ill be at newark airport one week from now. i know im not garaunteed she will get a visa.

AAHHHH, SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!! It will be great and this nightmare will be over in 8 hours! I wouldn't be able to sleep either. No way.

Oh!!!! I forgot to add this! So I called yesterday afternoon and this girl with a terrible attitude (sounded like a young girl, I remember talking to her a while ago) told me she cannot give any status on my case and to call customer service!!!! Excuse me! I had a RFE!!!! #######! I wanted to kill her!!! If that was the case then none of the rest officer would've helped us.

Why are they paying customer service people? Why even have them? Use that budget money to hire more adjucators and we wouldn't need to call every friggin day asking where are case is!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

I got Officer Nancy...who seemed nice but seemed to have a different story. When I called the other day, she said the adjudicator had gotten my case...would be ordering name checks which take a few days and I'll hear shortly after that. THen I get these touches.

NOW today she said he's had it since NOVEMBER 21. That the touch today was simply an update to some data in the system, and that I should call back in 30 days. Many there are on vacation and that some work slower than others (BY AN ENTIRE MONTH??? WHERES MANAGEMENT???) . That it could still be 30 more days.....Ok Im officially broken. No more positive, no more anything. I dont get it....how can it go from a few days, anytime to up to 30 more days????? And now she says the NAME CHECKS are the LAST THING before they issue an approval.....Thats not how it sounded the other day...Im sooo confused.

Please don't let customer service screw with your emotions. Calling them only makes this worse. For all you know she just had a bug up her ### today. Hang in there. Don't plug into anything they say. The guy yesterday told me they are only on May applications. They don't know what they are talking about and it will only make you feel worse.

You know, if you don't hear something soon, you can get your congressperson involved. Its according to your priority date on the NOA1, not the date it was processed (which for you I believe the NOA1 is dated 6/20 but surely if you mailed it 6/4 they received it much sooner). Drfinitely something to think about if you don't get that approval by the end of next week!

I mailed it 6/4, but got an RFE cause my fiance wrote the check incorrectly, so the NOA1 was dated June 20. I called my senator and I am waiting on a call back.

Thanks. I appreciate it. I was ok for awhile, but now that I know it is close, and others are getting approvals after me, I am starting to get anxious. If I just knew someone had it and it wasn't lost I think I would feel better. My birthday is December 5th and I guess I was hoping to have it by then.

I interupted him and said I knew the script. I know that when people call you just tell them to wait longer, but since I paid for this service I expected some helpful information. NOTHING!!!!

So I was right. It was a mistake for me to call because now I am even more pissed off.

Not everyone deals with this process in the same way and not everyone believes that God is in control.

Exactly, I was completely unaware that God worked at the Vermont Service Center. Well, if he does, I hope he processes my I-129F soon or I may join a pagan cult.

Everyone here (save a handful of people who filed in September) has a right to complain. It's a message board and VERY easy to ignore complaints if you don't want to read them. I promise posts containing complaints will not continuously pop-up in a message box until you read them thoroughly.

I called the RFE number and was honest..."I dont have an RFE, but need help. I filed almost 6 months ago, and havent heard anything, can you please help me? Im not sure if I have an RFE or not." Nancy and I had spoken before I just went on and on with positive comments about how hard they are working, how busy I know they are...Used Mr. Novaks name...as in...I'd love to email him with how wonderful are are being..what was your name again??"

I can not believe it. I know that we may still get RFE...but at LEAST we know someone is looking at our file. Im in tears. I cant decide weather to laugh or cry...weather to be happy or scared. WOW. Mixed emotions. Almost 6 months of seeing the same date. Just to know someone opened our file and is looking at it. I wonder if a touch means they ordered our background checks? Or if it means the name check is done and now they are reviewing it. Either way...

Thank you everyone for the support over these last 5.5 months. But we can't give up on being heard. The system is still broken and I for one will not be abandoning this issue. I hope others will still write, and make a fuss that come after us.

I broke down and called the Vermont Service Center today. Spoke to the nice Information Officer (Nancy). She actually remembered me from talking before!! Anyways...the "create" with my petition is now on an officers desk for adjudication. Thank God. She said the name checks take a few days and that each create has 30 petitions in it. So If I estimate right about 2 days worth of work. So we SHOULD be hearing sometime this week if all is smooth about our petition. Im just glad there wasn't a problem with it. She also stated no one there got hershey's kisses of the officers. I did ask... I joked and said that if Mr Novaks waist looks a bit bigger...she knows where all those chocolates went to. Im sure someone there got them. Just not the information officers or adjudication officers. Anyhow...she said they have been slammed with work...I thanked her for being so polite and helpful. Just wanted to share.

I know how you feel...our noa2 is the day before....my SO is getting impatient. Its starting to wear on us both.

Yes, it seems to get harder the closer we get to it. I don't understand why other late June/July filers are getting approvals and we haven't even gotten a touch. So frustrating. I am afraid to call anyone at USCIS because that will only frustrate me more. If someone there tells me to wait as a solution to waiting already I will lose it.

Me too! My family and friends keep asking what's going on, and I just have to tell them that I either don't know, or on my angrier days I tell them that my officer must be a lazy sod. I know they're busy, but ....

I'd hoped I'd have some information for large family gathering tomorrow, but.. not going to get my hopes up on that one.

I'm freaking tired of answering those kinds of question....When are you leaving? What's going on? Sometimes I don't even want to go out cause I know they are all gonna ask the same annoying questions over and over again!

I actually haven't told my parents about the visa yet... months ago I told them we were hiring a lawyer to help get my SO here, and other than that, I said, don't ask about it. I'll tell you when we have a solid plan. But lots of people in my life are always asking "when is he moving here?".

I guess it'll be that much more worth it when I do finally have an answer to give.

I realize they ask cause they care, but come on, think people! of course after I tell them people try to give me advice (like I haven't researched this to no end) or ask why doesn't he just get a work visa? UGH! So then you have to go into the entire process, how it works, why they don't know what they are talking about, etc.

You know what else I get asked? Why he doesn't just come here and work illegally. B/c so many people do it, and a lot in NY in particular I would guess (hell, I have friends who are illegally here), so they ask me that. Which frustrates me even more, b/c the implication is that if we just did that, we could be together now, so really it's my own fault we're apart for trying to do things the right way.

Right. I get asked that too. Uh, maybe because you don't want to live your life that way and constantly worry. The thing about this process is that if you are not involved in it you really have no idea of all the bits and pieces. I told everyone at Thanksgiving to not ask me about anything with the word visa in it. Otherwise I will be eating Turkey in my car.

Ok...I'm freaking out here....I just called VSC and the said that they haven't recieved anything.....she told me to resend it...and I told her that last week when I called this person told me that it could be on the mail room and to wait....so this girl tells me now to resend it or to wait, it hasn't been checked and she said that it could be on the mail room.

How can I resend it again if we had to sent back the orginal letter with Pat's signature and checking the NO on the answer they gave us.....???? Then I have to wait till next week....

Many mid Junes are still unapproved..whats up with THAT? Are they just doing the "easy" ones? Or is just a FEW adjudicators working hard? Or are they just looking for ways to stay in service levels...?? Never mind that some of us have to wait even from MAY. What gives?
