Another term for you to understand is “credits” When a graduation requirement says “2 credits in science” it means 2 full years of studying a science like biology, chemistry, physics. Four credits in “English” refers to 4 years of studying lite
Thanks for all of your responses, we will be living in Oklahoma. We have reached out again to the guidance counsellor and hopefully we should be able to transition him. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully someone who may have been in a similar situation may be able to help.
My son and I will be moving to the USA in Feb 2022. My son is 16 and has completed and passed his GCSE's and is currently attending college.
My question is, will the US education system recognise GCSE's and give my son credits toward a high school diploma? Also what grade is my son likely to go into?
Any help is welcomed. We have contacted the school department and they are unclear.

Hi everyone! I have a question. Will you get an email from NVC for an interview date even if you’re not due yet for an update. What I mean is every 2 mos update(email) that you’ll receive from them. Please answer thank you!
Hi, I didn't receive an interview date. Once the NVC sent the package to the embassy and i was notified by letter I then went onto the website and scheduled my own date.

No pattern that I've aware of. They do release slots in a batch, but when in terms of time of month or time of day can really vary. There are cancellations that come up sporadically. The embassy advises that you keep checking regularly and you'll eventually find something. I tend to agree with that advice
Thank you. I’ll keep checking 👍

I hope I am in the right forum for this question. But we received our NOA2 Feb. 5. I have not yet received a case number or invoice number. When I emailed the NVC they replied stating I will not receive that info until it gets to an embassy. The check lists are a bit confusing on the website so I just want to be sure. My fiance is from Canada for context. Did it take anyone more than 3 months to get their case number.
Hi,
Give the NVC a call and ask for your case number and invoice number and they will provide these over the phone.

Did it resolve itself? I had this exact issue and I just kept trying it until it eventually just worked. Still I have no idea why.
yes literally we kept trying yesterday and I tried again today and it just worked. So strange! -
Please ignore this I have resolved the issue

We are now at the NVC stage in the process and have contacted NVC for our case number and invoice number. When checking our case status on the NVC website it tells us to log into the CEAC website. So we input our case and invoice number where it asks and it states each time that it’s invalid. We’ve contacted the NVC twice to confirm the details they have provided us with are correct.
My question is: are we only able to log in at the embassy stage? Is this why we’re having problems?
Any advice would be great.

Did you receive a NOA2?
Also congrats!
5 hours ago, JustineC85 said:How long did it take for you to receive your hard copy in the mail? We were just approved earlier this week.
We had our arrival arrive yesterday and online it stated our petition was approved on the 6th, so we received notice in 6 days.

Thank you all for your comments you have all been helpful

The consulate is the same as nvc call your embassy and give them the case number
So does that mean it’s been sent to the NVC and not London Embassy? Sorry I’ve been so confused 🤷
-
Thank you. It’s an I-797 notice of action and states it’s approved and has been sent to the consulate. Nothing said about NVC. So confused
-
Guys for those who have received your NOA2 did your letter say it was being sent to the NVC or consulate? Mine says
‘Your petition has been approved and has been forwarded to the listed consulate’.
what on earth does this mean? I thought it went to the NVC
-
Hi all
We received our NOA2 today in the mail and it states:
‘The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate’.
No where on the letter states it has been sent to the NVC. I thought that this would be sent straight to NVC before consulate. Unless I’m misunderstanding, can someone help?

At this point normal does not exist
but do not worry when it goes to no case exist either as that means it is on the way to NVC and you will then wait for new case # starting with 3 letters that denote your embassy / then you can check the CEAC site for information K1 is non immigrant but on CEAC you check immigrant with the new case # / give them at least 60 days to get the notice from NVC
Thank you for your response. I thought it was a bit odd but then noticed other applications approved yesterday now have today’s date in on the case tracker.
Also thank you for the additional information. That is helpful. I’m still navigating all of this so at least I know
-
So yesterday on the USCIS website it said our petition was approved. We went back to check on it today and it says it was approved with today’s date and not yesterday’s date We wondered if this is normal?

I got an alert through the case checker app and it said my I-129F was approved this morning. 225 days it took ours to go through.

March 2022 - AOS Filers
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports

I believe all AOS receipts come with an IOE number. I’d just like to know where mine will be processed.
