Just got an update my husbands i485 has had an action on his case. We are Sacramento field office. I figure we can be stuck at this for who knows how long but atleast it’s an update we hadn’t had any update since case received back on may 4 2020.
his status is this-
Your case status: Testing and Interview
As of March 15, 2022, we are ready to schedule your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number , for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service centerJust updated today our interview is scheduled for April 13 in Fresno.

Hi. Did anyone had their interview yet in Sacramento, CA?
Ours just updated that we are ready to schedule in sacramento and our status is now changed to testing and interview so not sure if it’s just waiting to be scheduled or has been scheduled. But hopefully that means sac is finally moving!

We applied for my husbands EAD Renewal on 4/21/21 it expired 9/26/21 we got the extension which expires in 3 weeks. I had put in so many inquiries and nothing helped get it approved put in expedite never heard back.
well I finally reached out to our congressman on 2/18 got a call from their office on 2/22/22 that they put in a inquiry with Uscis for us. On 2/26/22 his i765 was approved and card being produced. It is the 2 year saw the approval letter in our documents.
what a stressful wait. We are expecting our 3rd child and I have to have surgery in 3 weeks so I won’t be able to work for atleast 8 which is why we had been trying to make sure it was taken care of before then.
good luck to everyone still waiting.
hopefully we all can get our interviews soon!

Probably just means NBC was done with the pre-processing (ie preparing your case for an interview, background- and security checks etc), and that it now sits there and wait until your field office has time to schedule an interview.
Thank you! That’s kinda what I was thinking but wasn’t really sure. Atleast that shows they are working on it. Hopefully it won’t be to long for all of us.

Hey all, I spoke with an agent through Emma they are scheduling a tier 2 call for my husband. I’m so confused I asked if our 485 has been sent to field office yet and they said..
our i485 was fulfilled on 04/30/2021, but their is no response in their system yet.
what does that even mean the last thing we have is that our biometrics was applied back on Aug 4 2020
pd is may 4 2020.
thanks in advance for any comments!

Hi! Has anyone successfully completed the EAD renewal process? I am going to submit my renewal at the end of this month and just wanted to be sure I am doing it correctly. Did you submit the I-765 again and provided the same documentation you provided for the initial application? Also, did you pay a fee? Thanks in advance.
We didnt pay a fee and sent over the packet with the attachment that came with our ead that said to include. They received it 4/23 still waiting on receipt notice which has me a little stressed out. But says that they can be delayed🤷🏼♀️.

I feel the same way. My husband PD 5/4/2020 and our last update was that same one on august 4, 2020. I try not to let it stress me out and make me worry but definitely hard when others who filed months after are getting movement.

Have you guys heard back from your case inquiry? What happened?
I never heard back from any one filed 2 more after. Those went unanswered as well. Still no movement since fingerprints were applied to my case in aug and got ead.

Hey everyone, just a little update/maybe help for others still waiting. We never received a ssn for my husband i called ss office and was told we should get one within 2 weeks then 6 weeks. After a month of waiting since we received his ead i was just annoyed with the changing story again and again. I faxed over a copy of ead card, passport, ead approval notice, and application for ssn. It was faxed 10/26/2020 never got a call again from them or anything. Today we received his social security card in the mail with the date of 10/26/2020 on it, so our application was processed same day we faxed it. I want to say don’t just sit back and listen to them telling you to wait i was told for 3 weeks the same thing again and again until one nice worker said all i had to do was fax those things in with an application. Never needed to go into an appointment nothing. They verify your information you fax over with uscis and then just mail it to you

We're getting very frustrated with the whole SSN thing. My husband received his EAD card in August, but still hasn't been able to get his SSN. Every time he calls, they tell him he needs to mail in his original birth certificate, EAD card, and passport. Once they verified those documents, then they will schedule an appointment. Why does he have to mail in the most important documents he has? We can't risk those going missing while he's waiting for his green card. He checked the box saying he wanted the SSN automatically assigned too, so it's very annoying that one hasn't been and he can't get one now.
Also, his Green Card status has been stuck on "biometrics scheduled" since late July. He had his biometrics taken on August 12th. He got his EAD & his AP, but no change has been made associated with his GC. He calls every other week and can't make any progress on either. And, no one will hire him without his SSN. He was offered 3 jobs so far and all backed out. I feel so badly that he's basically just stuck in limbo.
Just venting, but I still don't understand why he needs to send his original documents off just to have an appointment scheduled. We talked to ss office they told us to fax copy of his ead card passport and application to them. Thats what we did yesterday

So I haven’t heard any approval notice from my I-131 or I-765 application, however, I received the interview notice for my I-485 today...that’s interesting that my I-485 is moving faster than the other 2 applications...but that’s a very pleasant surprise.
Congratulations! My lawyer had told us that they were bypassing some 765 and going straight to 485 interviews. Good luck!

Hi,
We actually have similar timelines. My application for 485 received on may 4. Approved for EAD/AP on 09/24. Received my combo EAD/AP card 10/1/2020. They applied my old fingerprints to my biometrics so I did not need to do them. Interestingly enough my application flipped from ready to be scheduled for interview on june 15, 2020. Then on August 6 fingerprints applied. No updates since regards to the 485. I have a feeling we might get scheduled around the same time. Hoping it will not take the full 12 month processing timeframe! Thanks for making this topic. Would like to hear more from Sacramento filers for sure!
Tiff
I don't know if mine ever showed ready to schedule or not. I checked and it was accepted then the next time i checked it said fingerprints have been applied to the case. I hope we get moving soon and dont have to take that long to get it too!
i havent seen to many people in my other groups for Sac FO. So hopefully others will see this soon.

Today USPS says a package was mailed from USCIS in Missouri and we should receive it Friday. No update to case status yet. Hoping it's combo card(s). What else could it be? Why one package and not two (K-1 and K-2)? Why is it a package and not a regular letter? I'll know Friday.
Oh, wait! It says the package is from the "production facility". I think that is where they produce the cards.
Thats the card, congratulations!

We haven't received any status updates since getting the biometrics done in Aug, but I checked through our informed delivery and see that we have a package coming from Lees Summit Production Facility...wonder if it could be the EAD card?
Thats sounds like the EAD, thats where ours came from. We just received on Saturday. Our bio was aug 4

We had our interview in Fresno ca today. officer told us he was recommending for approval. 30 min after leaving case status updated to new card being produced. will be 10 year green card.

got to our appointment an hour early had to wait until 15 minutes before to go in through security. got called back 10 min later. didn’t get asked any questions only reviewing everything on the 485 and 130. I took a whole folder of evidence and pictures he didn’t even look at just wanted the updated financials and birth certificate for our new baby.
