  1. Anything could help. Do you have a relationship with your ex-wife where you could ask her to write a sworn affidavit about the validity of your marriage? Like the comment above has mentioned, at this stage anything goes. What evidence did you provide with your first application?
  2. I just want to say as someone who is currently waiting for a decision on my I-751 with a divorce waiver, the information you share here about the process is unbelievable good. Not only it provides me with immense knowledge about a lot of aspects, it also reassures me in a lot of ways about my rights in case of a future denial. I filled just a little over a year ago, so I am assuming I still have at best a couple of years ahead before a decision is made. But meanwhile, being here frequently absorbing the knowledge you share gives me a lot of ammunition to prepare myself in case I also have to fight this fight. In the meantime, I try and relax and not think about it too much while I wait. Thank you for all that you do, and I hope that OP reads all of your advice and follows it promptly. Good luck to both of you.
  3. I’m so sorry to hear this. I look up to your answers a lot in regards to my own removal of conditions with a divorce waiver. Like others have said here, do not give up and let them win. Regardless of what decision you end up making, I wish you nothing but good luck in the future.
  4. Yes. I received two extension letters. The first one was 24 months if I remember correctly, and the second one was the newest 48 month one. I realize it’s a long wait nowadays, just thought at least I’d be notified of either a biometric reuse or an appointment to get them by now.
  5. 181 days since they received my case, no other update other than we received your case. No fingerprint reuse or have been scheduled notification.
  6. Go to a social security office while your green card is still valid, and ask for a new SSN card. They will then give you a new one that doesn't have those restrictions, which you can then provide it to your employer if asked, together with a driver's license or other form of state ID. Alternatively, you can go on the social security website, and request a new SSN card online. You will then visit your local office after doing that, make sure to bring your green card with you when doing so, and you will get a new and unrestricted SSN card.
  7. You can travel without a worry. As long as the greencard is valid when you return, you won’t face any issues.
  8. I think the idea of scrutinizing marriage based adjustments more to prevent fraud, and completely getting rid of ROC is the best. No more ROC, no more divorce waivers. Getting rid of the divorce waiver alone without eliminating ROC seems unfair to people in the same situation as me. When I got my greencard, my ex-wife and I were one month shy of two years of marriage, so for that reason I received a 2 year one instead of the 10 year one. Our marriage went on to last 3 years and only ended due to infidelity on her part.
  9. Hijacking this post because I have a question for the guru of I-751's himself. Did not feel the need to make a new post just for this. I have recently submitted my I-751 with a divorce waiver, and just got my extension letter in the mail last week. Due to a family emergency, I have to leave the country and go see my family in Brazil for a week. I'm leaving on January 28th, and will return on February 4th. I was wondering if, due to the fact that my greencard was issued to me by marriage, but now I am divorced and have a pending removal of conditions with a divorce waiver. Could this lead to problems with CBP upon returning to the country? I have never travelled internationally since obtaining my greencard, and have been really stressed about this upcoming trip due to the fact of me divorcing. Worth mentioning that my greencard will be valid when I return on Feb 4th. In fact it wont't expire until March 10th, but I am still planning on taking the extension letter with me to Brazil just in case. Thank you!
  10. Of course. My flight is on January 28th, and I get back on February 4th. I will only be gone for 8 days. So, my greencard would still be valid for a month after that. Still, for peace of mind, I would prefer traveling with the letter on me, just in case. I also fear having them schedule biometrics while I'm out, but I don't think that will be the case since I will only be gone for a week.
  11. Has your package been marked as delivered yet? I’m in a similar situation. My greencard expires on March 10. I have a trip out of the country on the end of January, and I’m hoping that I will get my extension letter before then. They got my package on December 29th and cashed my money order on January 6th. It’s been 4 days since and I haven’t received anything. I really hope that I get it within the next few weeks before my flight
  12. I’m in a similar situation. USCIS received my package and cashed my check on January 6. I’m now waiting for my NOA in the mail, and have a a trip overseas booked for January 28th. I’m hoping that I get my NOA before then and that I don’t hear anything biometrics related until I return. Luckily I will only be gone for 7 days. If you do leave, make sure that you have someone who can regularly check your mail to be on the lookout for the biometrics appointment letter. If they do send it then you can either be back in time or call uscis from abroad and reschedule your appointment.
  13. Thank you again. Yes, my flight to Brazil is on January 28th, so hopefully I have my extension letter in hand by then. I hadn’t considered the covid rules, glad you mentioned it, I will keep an eye on it. My return flight to the US will be on February 04, so I should be gone for only 7 days. Hopefully they don’t send anything biometrics related until I make it back here.
  14. Thank you for your reply. Ideally I would like to have the letter in hand before I go. Hopefully I get it before the 28th which is when I leave for Brazil. Better safe than sorry.
  15. Thank you for your reply. This will be my first time traveling back home since getting the greencard, so I’ve been pretty worried about it. Hopefully my NOA gets here before the 28th, which is when I’m flying to Brazil. If not and it comes to it, I do have someone who could express the letter to me.
  16. I sent my application on December 27th, they got it on December 28th, and they just cashed my money order today, January 6th.
  17. I’ve recently submitted my I-751 application with a divorce waiver. and just seen today that they cashed my money order. Assuming that it means they accepted my application, I was wondering if there would be any issues if I were to travel internationally within the next few weeks. My greencard expires on March 10, and I was planning on spending a week in Brazil in late January, so I would be back in the US early February. Do I need to wait until I get the extension letter and should I take the extension letter with me, even though the greencard won’t expire until March? I haven’t traveled internationally since moving here in 2018, and was just wondering how the process was upon arrival back into the United States, and what documents I need to have with me. Thanks im advance!
  18. Thank you for reply. I will try and obtain the most of what you suggested. Might be difficult to obtain the first one, because we moved across the country after the first apartment we had, and us and the landlord didn't exactly left on the best terms. I should be able to come up with most of the rest though. I will try and have my ex help me with obtaining some of her documents and i hope she cooperates. I also have already requested and received copies of both I-485/I-130 submissions. And I should be filling for divorce next week. It is amicable and we both want to get it over with as quickly as possible.
  19. Awesome. That is what i plan on doing. Do you think the evidence i have provided above is enough?
  20. Hello. I am about to initiate my divorce proceedings, and have been trying to gather evidence to submit my I-751 with a divorce waiver. I was wondering if the evidence - Two joint leases with both our names on it, from both 2020 and 2021. I also had one more from 2019, that i included with the original I-485 application, but I forgot to make copies and now I don't have a way of finding it. - Two Tax Return Transcripts from the IRS, filled jointly as a married couple, for the years of 2020 and 2021. - Verizon Phone bills under my name, with both my wife and her mother as both my dependents on the line. We are still on the same plan even though we are going through a divorce. The bills go from April 08, 2021, when we first signed it, until the most recent one. Over 13 months of phone bills included. - Pictures of two credit cards we had together, with her as my dependent. - Pictures from my job's life insurance, listing wife as my Spouse and dependent. - Copies of Drivers Licenses for both wife and I, with the same address listed. - A page of the USPS Informed Delivery, with pictures of mail for both of us, being delivered at the same address. - Pictures of several accounts that we shared, having different profiles on the same account. Such as Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime. - Pictures of my Emergency Contacts of some of the jobs i had, listing my Wife as my emergency contact. - Several pictures that spam from the very start of our relationship, to the very last picture we took of us together, during the concert we went to in February of 2022. We never had a joint bank account. We had a joint credit account under my bank, but it was a credit card we used to build credit, and there were barely any purchases made on her card. We had cards for my Vision Insurance plan from when i used to work as a contractor for Amazon. She was listed as my dependent, but i wasn't able to locate those. I also had her listed as my dependent on my Walmart Life Insurance policy back from when i used to work at Walmart. I do not work there anymore and could not get access to those documents. I have included around 70 pictures of us, that dates from the very start of the relationship, to our wedding day, until the very last pictures we took together. Her family is also with us in several of those pictures. This is pretty much all i was able to gather, and i don't think i am able to provide any more evidence than this. Was hoping to be able to get some facebook posts from my ex, but she untagged herself from every picture on her family's profile, and deleted her facebook account. I was wondering if this is enough evidence, and or if there are any tips from any of you who went through this, if there is anything else i can add. The marriage lasted a bit over two years by the way. We actually completed 3 years two months ago, but were already separated then. Anyways, i appreciate the help. thank you!
