I filed on 8/17/2020 and got my ASC letter for a Biometrics appointment on 7/13/2021. My case number also starts with MSC.

I was also able to apply for my N-400 naturalization which I filed last month. Guessing these biometrics will be reused for that application as well.

Glad to see things moving in some small measure for a few of us!

I’m assuming that you’re still under a conditional green card right ?How can you file for citizenship before getting the 10 year green card ? Did you send them a copy of the expired one ? If yes, I did not know that was possible!!!

We filed on August 24, 2020. However, I’ve been reading posts at other I-751 groups and it seems that you can be stuck in “Ready for an interview” status for months. Everything depends on how many people are in the queue for your local office.

August 7th is our filing date and we just had the biometric a couple days ago! This MSC office is really really slow I see.Well, hopefully you won’t have to wait that long :)

    1) USCIS is notorious for making mistakes like that. 2) You cannot go to your biometrics appointment without the letter. They will not even let you in (I saw someone being turned away when I went for mine). 3) Online case status will never show that biometrics is scheduled. They will update after fingerprints are taken, but otherwise, the only way to know is to receive the letter, which of course, they screwed up. 4) Contact the USCIS Ombudsman office and your congressman for help.

I should probably add that if you know which centre your biometrics is scheduled at, you could call and see if they have records of your scheduled time and date and if they will let you in if you can prove your identity. Chances are low though.

Thank you guys for the input I really appreciate, however I received a call back from USCIS yesterday where the agent emailed me a copy of the biometrics letter oh thank God I’m really relieved. As I live really close to the uscis biometrics center I went over there and was the only one literally but one of the agent saw that my appointment is a week from today she sent me home !!!! Really!!!! It’s not like they’re busy like I said I was the only applicant there but she spoke to me with a really weird and judgmental tone and said no no no you come back next week. I don’t understand.

Again, thank you guys for trying to help me

Can you login into your account and check if it shows your biometric appointment. Take that print..take all the print it says you have an appointment at this time. If you get letter before the date its well and good.. I feel you should go..

Thanks for the feedback, they never updated the case status and the reason I know I have an appointment is only because I called them !

Applied in August 2020. We still haven't gotten any biometrics letter and our appointment was cancelled without any reasons.Talked to a live agent and they said the following:

The biometrics letter got lost in the mail because they sent it to my old address despite me changing the address.

now I don’t know what to do and can’t reach anybody in the phone, so can I just walk-in without the appointment letter ? Please help

I forgot who posted this but here it is.  Repeat the steps if you get an unsatisfactory response.
    Go to Non-Delivery of Notice @ https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do;jsessionid=7374B454EC16D43F15225333351BC16B?sroPageType=ndn&entryPoint=init

Fill in all the details then under 'Notice Type' select following.

    a) What notice was not received?

    Either Appointment or Other

    b) Provide Last Action on Your Case

In this section you can let them know that you received I-797C for I-751 (provide WAC#) on MM/DD/YYYY and it's been X days you haven't received biometric appointment letter. Thus you are requesting them to provide an update on biometric letter.

Now, wait time begins.....your SR will have "Expect a reply by X days". I would suggest to wait till that day and then call the following day and be ready with WAC# and SR# to share with them.

Thanks a lot for that I really appreciate it and I will proceed with the request right now.

Hi. I am a July 2019 filer...and same! Not even a bio!!! And this is really strange as I know just one more person who is is the same situation ( no bio also) but he at least has an N400 interview in January...

what is your service center? Mine is Texas, SRC. And of course I created a lot of service requests, called, even asked help from Senator - useless...

Thanks for your response oh God i thought i was the only one in this situation!!! I have sent my package to Texas and my service center starts with msc.

Hey I'm an Aug filer too and have not received any updates. I contacted my senator's office (Kamala Harris), who have helped me out in the past. But I have no idea how crazy her office is right now due to her being VP-elect. No idea how long it's gonna take to hear about fingerprints or any other updates. I saw some people who filed I-751 this year are already approved, but most of those people are in TX.

Thanks for sharing that, hopefully things will go quicker in days to come.
