    Thank you for your message!

Where did you get this information about possibly opening in July?

Do you know how far out from our interview they contact us?

Have you seen the post in other groups about Ankara not having any interview times available for Iranians until February 2021? Are they in a different category? Its posted on the link I posted in my previous post - from an official website.

    Thank you again.

In this post people are talking about the phases in normal circumstances to last for 2 weeks but there is no set in stone date. Again everyone is hoping for the best case scenario. Ankara embassy previously scheduled interviews 5-6 weeks out depending on the month but it’s hard to predict with the current situation.

Sorry but I have no information about the specifics around Iranians.

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to hear good news anyone has about getting an interview scheduled.

We were DQed on May 22, 2020 and are waiting for an email about our interview in Ankara, Turkey.

http://usvisa-info.com is the website the State department gives for updates. As I can see, there arent any updates since May. Also, we were DQed from the NVC but unless we have an email directly from the embassy about an interview, then I cannot register on this site. Is that correct?

Thank you and best of luck!

It looks like Ankara embassy is starting to process passport applications following a phased approach and in there it says phase III will be full staffed processing for passports. Let’s hope that it also means that they will start processing immigrant visas as well.. wishful thinking but we might start seeing some updates by the end of July.. fingers crossed..

Hi all - do you think it'd be possible for a spouse to come visit the US while they're awaiting a date being scheduled for interview?

We've made it this far and our case complete by NVC demonstrates the good-standing of the application. There wouldn't be an intent to immigrate during that stay if they're going to fly back for their interview. Spouse would have a return ticket as well.

Thoughts? I don't think there's a lot of risk involved if we've already proven that we've been following the process.

Does your spouse has a valid non immigrant visa? If not, since you are in the process of intent to migrate to U.S, they won’t give you a new visa.

Hi! I’m new here. I received an email back in March 18 stating that they received all the required documents and will work to Manila embassy to schedule an interview appointment. Is this mean that my case was DQ? And the next step will be for interview? I don’t need to do anything right now, just wait correct? Thanks 😊

Yep - just wait until you hear back from NVC with your interview date scheduled at Manila.

We've been waiting since December 18th (but our embassy is slow). So far nothing other than a trickle of rumours that some places are scheduling some interviews in May and June. Certainly nothing to show that the NVC is still scheduling interviews and as far as I'm aware the worldwide closure of visa services is still in place.

Yep, they are still closed but there is a line in their closure explanation saying that they still provide mission critical visa services.. So again.. just a hope that spousal visas are critical.. I guess not :(

Routine visas services have been suspended at U.S. posts worldwide, but as resources allow, embassies and consulates will continue to provide emergency and mission critical visa services for applicants who are not subject to this presidential proclamation.
