Got a notification today that my interview was scheduled! Now it's time to wait for the official letter!

I had walk-in but I guess there are too many people who needs to be fingerprinted (N400 filers, political asylum seekers, people applying for green card etc) so that's why they allow early walk-in otherwise people will wait months just for biometrics.

Me too. In 4 days it will be 1 month since I'm in line.

California has a lot of immigrants and local offices are very busy.

When I had my biometrics it was 60 people in the room waiting in line.

That's cheap, here in Florida the fines start at $245 for red light running on a camera equipped intersection, and some cities are enforcing right turn too which is where the money is for the cities

I forgot to disclose a ticketni got last year via traffic camera so I'm bringing a copy of it and my payment confirmation to the interview.

Here is a quote from the n-400 instructions under the documents to bring to the interview section.

I already disclosed it on my N-400 so even if it was under $500 and dismissed, I am afraid the IO will ask for a proof it was dismissed. Do you or anyone know if a clean driving record works as evidence it was dismissed or do they tend to only accept an actual court record? (whenever they ask for a proof). Thanks!

I'm not sure they are even going to care. I would say if they do the clean record would suffice. You could also disclose your library fines however I'm thinking they wouldn't ask for proof they were paid.

I am starting to get some documents ready for my interview and I have a quick question.

In December 2013, I got pulled over for speeding and chose to request a deferred disposition when I went to court. Essentially, when granted, it gives you a 90 days (maybe more, I can't remember) probation period after which the case is dismissed if you do not have any moving violation during that time. The issue is, I didn't keep any of the paperwork proving the deferred disposition was granted and that the case was dismissed after the probation period. This happened when I was in Texas and I am now in NYC. I am yet to find a way to obtain court records from Texas that I can bring to the interview (I disclosed this in my N-400).

I pulled my driving record both from Texas and NY State. It does not show any violation. Do you think this would be sufficient enough to prove the case was dismissed if the officer asks for something?

As long as there was no arrest or the fine was under $500 you shouldn't even need to disclose it.

Guys my interview was scheduled today, just as someone predicted on April Fools day. My husband thought I was tricking him, it's true! I even called USCIS to confirm (just for fun mostly). I hope to see the letter in the mail soon. Moving along!

Now that I have a little more time, I;m going to share my story

This will be my second citizenship interview, on 2010 with the 3 years rule, I approve the english and civic test, I was even invited to wait for my oath letter in the waiting room, after 20 minutes waiting my IO came out telling me that there is a little problem with my case and I will be receiving the oath letter by mail soon. Three months later I receive a denial because I apply early, stating that the resident since date that appear on my GC is not correct, so I was 15 days earlier so for that reason I was denied... I'm wondering if I have to do the tests again. Now I'm divorced, I hope they don't grill me with questions because of that.

This forums definitely help us with the anxiety, is good to know that other people are anxious just like me. Thanks and I hope everithing moves fast for all

You will go through the same interview process as 2010 with the English and civics test. Since you are now applying under the 5 year rule marriage won't be a factor.

Once you have created your account with your receipt number simply click on the receipt number and it will show you the current case status along with a history. I hope it is showing inline. good luck

It is from the National Benefits Center in Missouri.

So he didn't take it, just made sure YOU had it.... So what did you do with it? Toss it or keep it?

lol My wife saves everything She still has it 8 years later

They didn't even open the envelope. They only wanted to confirm she had it.

Is this for real? If so, we're in trouble. After interview when they didn't ask for the cd, we put it somewhere and have no idea where. Never thought we'd need it again.

Keep in mind this was in 2008 before it was a CD. It was in a big orange envelope. The agent at the POE just wanted to see we had it.

Nope! No one wants the CD or will ask for it, you can keep it as a souvenir or use it for a coaster

We were asked to show the chest x-ray at the Portland OR POE in 2008.
