Are you able to check the case status with this receipt number?

Hi all. We received our Bio letter on 10-12 The date on it is 10/08/2010 and our appointment is 11/03/2010.

Prior to getting this we were unable to get online status. The WAC number was incorrect on the check.

The Date on the NOA read 9/29/2010 Is that the date I should have put under the NOA1 date?

Also when I tried to check status at the USCIS site it isn't finding my WAC number. Just wondering if that is normal.

Hi Tim,

Your 90 day window starts on 7/3. If they receive your package even 1 day earlier, they send it back to you.

So, you MUST wait!!

Hi Everyone

I have a quick question. I Just got the letter telling me it is time to file the I-751 however my 90 day window doesn't start till 7-2. (expires 10/01/2010) I really should wait for the 90 day window to begin before mailing it? Shouldn't I?

Matt arrived on the 23rd of this month with a K-1. We tried to apply for a SS# for him and the lady refused to even consider the possibility that he was eligible for a card. She said he would not be eligible until after he adjusts status and gets his green card. I did print the link from the guides section and took that with us and she barely glanced at it and tossed it aside. I asked for her supervisor and she left and then came back and said he was not available and he would call me. Of course he did not call me. Hers was the only window, only person I saw (other than the burly security guard sitting in the back eyeing me as I was clearly not happy even though I was smiling and pleasant as I told her she was WRONG.) She was condescending, arrogant and talked down to me as though I were stupid and even said "and you work where?"

Any advice as to what else we could try?

Our AOS interview on Jan 13 was very successful, thank you all for your support. Jones, our interviewer, didnt even ask us anything except how we met and our occupations. That was all.. The only problem was that we forget that I needed extra vaccine shots, TD to be exact. Luckily we were able to find a US INS Civil Surgeon, a walk-in clinic in Downtown LA, to get the shot done and only cost $70. After our interview, we got the necessary shots and came back Jan 14 to get the approved conditional visa. Jones was kind enough to update our status in their system, so we also got the USCIS letter stating we were approved and that we only now wait for the actual green card. CRIS also sent an email on the spot so its all updated in USCIS. Yipee, no more USCIS for another 18 months.

Some excellent news for us - after receiving the RFE re: vaccination/medicals, contacting senator's office and making the appropriate individuals do their work properly, the USCIS site has been updated with the long waited "Card sent" and then "Welcome notice sent" with no interview. No GC on hand yet but I have a good feeling on this Thanks all of you for your support and don't hesitate to contact the senator's office - they do their job very well. Good luck!

We received yesterday our interview letter and it will be on Dec 10 in LA. Good thing hubby won't have a class on that day. We're so excited! Hopefully in God's blessings, we'll have a smooth interview and receive my GC before New Year. Please pray for us.

By the way, does the interview letter really states that it will an "initial interview"? just confused about it. hehe!

For those still waiting, just be patient. God is good and He knows when is the right time for all of us.

just back from interview thank god we passeed and approved realy pretty easy only take 10 min basic questions looked at some pics and insurance docs with both are names on them and she copied some of our pics mostly ones where our familys are also in them .and that was it .good luck to all who are still waiting your in our prayers

If her intent on entry to the USA was student, and met and married a US citizen, then simply adjust status in the USA.

File I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864 together and pay fee for I-130 and I-485.

hello fellow May filers! Miss you all! Been very busy with work and all.

well, i received yesterday the uscis response to my service request if they received my reply to the rfe they sent last august. they said that they got it on aug 27 and my case has been resumed. thank God! although the on-line status haven't changed. never been touched either!

i hope everything will be alright to all of us here especially for those who are still waiting like me. time is fast and i know our GCs will come soon at the right time.

first time to celebrate halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas here in the US! so excited!

Good news for you that your case has resumed.

Yeah, Hubby wants to take me to the Universal Studios Horror Nights for Halloween... and I finally got my day of from work for Christmas Eve to spend with Hubby and my family here... Work has been keeping me busy these past few weeks, 12hr grave yard shifts are draining me out, luckily the pay is decent and I get 7 days work and 7 days off in a 2 week pay period to spend time with Hubby. We just got approved to rent our own apartment, and just signed the lease today so at least my credit check (which I have none) and which Hubby's credit is very low, was not a waste. We move in two weeks, with just our stuff in our bedroom, so no ref, no dining table, sofa, no furniture except our bed hehe... This means shopping and being broke for the holidays.. haha...

Thanksgiving will have a special meaning here. I flew out of Chicago on Thanksgiving morning to meet my wife for the first time two years ago.

As for Halloween, I am still trying to convince her to go to a haunted house!!

Our only news is that Meryll took and passed her written driving test today.
