Has anyone ever postponed an interview date for Frankfurt? We recieved our date for Nov. 14 and I am planning on attending. It came quick. We were planning on calling and asking if they can change it for end of Nov. Has anyone tried to change it? Are they nice about it? Do they consider the date you want?

I just arrived home from a business trip. I had no access to internet and it was killing me not to read the progress my VJ friends have made. I was so glad to read the many approves and congrats to you all
However, Mirla & Byron I was cheering for you the most
Mirla, so sorry to read about your RFE
You are correct these lawyers suck!!! At least you are one step closer.
Byron, dont lose hope on Christmas. Ever since I rec'd my NOA2 it has been moving rather quickly. Quicker then I expected. I hope it moves as fast for you. I have family in Colombia and I have only spent one Christmas there because Airfare is too expensive. I will also be alone this holiday season but DONT lose hope
All my best wishes for you both on a speedy approval.
soch....thank you !!!!!!!!!!
I haven't lost hope completely but as each day passes the hope fades a little..
.....as for the airfare...its outrageous!!! I checked today to travel there for Christmas and come back the first of January, they want $1200.......and thats actually not that bad...it said there was only one seat left...which basically means ...one seat at that price cause the closer you get the higher it goes....but im stuck because im hoping for an interview date and i have to be there for the interview and that makes it hard to schedule anything.....It's not like i could leave whenever i want...i have work to worry about and too much traveling would not look to good for me...
I know what you mean... we are in limbo! I looked at VJ timelines and it does seem to move quickly after the NOA2 in Colombia for interviews... just like it did for me. But you never know. I will have a better idea when he receives packet 4.
Is there anyway to put a hold on a reservation via a travel agency and give yourself time to wait for the NOA2? I have found that internet air deals for Colombia are also the same or perhaps less ($10) if you go to an agency. I live in NY and sometimes end up buying my tickets at the agency (in a Colombian neighborhood) instead of online. Again, perhaps they can hold a reservation for a week and that could give you time.

You have all these emotions! I finally called and they told me I was approved! Just like that, no email, no update on the USCIS site. Nothing! And the NOA2 was in the postbox by Friday, Oct. 19.
Fongers crossed, BUDDY!

Byron I know exactly what you are feeling. When I got touched Oct. 16 I was so excited and nervous. I didn't know what the touch meant. And at that point I had already been approved since Oct. 15 I just did not know it!

Danke Thea. I hope you are correct and he only needs to take the I134 to the interview not send back with packet 3.
-
Sorry I dont speak German, but I have a question. My fiance just received packet 3 today and we were wondering... does he have to send back the I134 form with packet 3 or can he show it at the interview date with the medical?
Thanks for your help.

Hi friends
My SO just received packet 3.... For those of you who have been through this process via Frankfurt...Does my SO have to send back the I 134 form that I need to fill out with his packet? Or can he give them this form later during the interview date?
Thanks for your help.
Soch

GOOD LUCK MIRLA! I can not believe they just opened it but that is the best news. Also, I doubt they will take 14 days!!!!!
Byron, I would keep her on the case.... why complicate things more--I think.
Best of luck to you both.

I can not believe this!
If you had not called and was informed of the RFE, your letter would have sat at your lawyers desk til who knows when?!!!! You forced her to check her mail, unbelievable! I am soooo glad you callled.
Mirla, I hope your lawyer is checking his or her desk for letters!

Mirla, when I was told to call and not enter my case number, i am not sure if it was customer service. All I know is that I said i needed to know the status of my petition and that i was conserned because i never received a hard copy NOA1 and if they could please confirm they have my correct address. She, without asking me my case # she put me on hold and transfered me to an officer. The officer asked for my case #, confirmed my address then told me I was approved since Oct. 15 and that I should receive a letter in the mail because they did indeed have my correct address.
Hope this helps, girl! Keep insisting. You either have an rfe or something is not right. Best of luck, we are all pulling for you.
-
Yes, it is quiet... Mirla, any answer on what they meant by 'service inquiry?"
-
WHY????????? WHY A RFE??????
Oh, I will cry with you
So sorry, pal! You should be getting it soon! Perhaps today

CONGRATS!!!! HAPPY TUESDAY! Seems like CSC is really moving. COME ON VSC!!

Moving along fast now, huh Sophia? Good for you!!! Hopefully a fast interview date!!!
Thansk! I really want to visit for the interview... and take advantage of the wonderful Chritmas Markets in Germany
Go for it girl!!! We just planned a trip for my daughter and me to visit the UK in mid-January. We know there is no way in hell he'll be here before then. Its so pathetic that now I just keep hoping we'll have the NOA2 before then.
Stranger things have happened... approvals in 30 days. That is crazy! All the best to ya!

Hi Friends
I noticed that several couples know (and have entered) a "consulate received" date. Can you tell me how I may obtain that? Do I call an office or can I track online.... I know several German couples have gotten this date.
If you can give me some direction, that would be great!
Best,
Soch
