  1. I sometimes think... perhaps some VJ members are not updating their timelines... and that is why we see little movement.. ya think?

Mine hasn't been touched since 10 June.... Would love to update.....

That is it I am calling today!

Yes, I think you should call. What I mean is that some people dont update their timelines... so we have no idea. Perhaps i am just wishfully thinking I am not really # 25.

  2. I everybody...

I just moved here from Germany with my husband and even though we've been here for almost half a year I haven't met anybody except his family and his friends :crying: . I really miss my friends back in germany and I miss having that "girls-talk" with a friend. If you're american or german or polish or whatever... if you life in my area ( elmira, NY)... let me know and maybe we can make friends...

    Beate

I don' live near Elmira, NY-- sorry. But My fiance will be coming from Germany soon (i hope) and my worst fear is that he will be sad and miss his home after 6 months... like you. So we have discussed several things he can do to keep busy while he gets on his feet, like: Conversational English classes, real estate classes... etc. This way he meets people in school. Are you working? Can you volunteer somewhere? I hope this helps and I am sorry you're homesick :( I also wish we lived closer.

  3. It'd be nice if we were the 'only ones!' Things would definitely move a damn site quicker anyway!

I can't wait to see some movement.. I too moved down on the list. :crying:

"toshtishtash" I also met my Chris-tian.. on November 5th  The stars were good to us on that date! And now we are in the same process.

    :D

Yup! Cupid was certainly having fun that day!

    Good luck with your journey!!

    Where about's do you live?

I live in New York. He lives in Germany.

Long story short...I went on a tour of Ireland with a friend. First night (November 5th) went to a landmark pub. He too was visiting Ireland. Met him and sat with his friends... great conversation... the Guiness started to hit me... my friend and i rudely left. He had given me his business card and my friend pushed me to email him when i go back to the States... I emailed him an apology for leaving rudely... and here we are :)

  4. HI ALL!

Is there a list of all I need to send my fiance after we recieve the NOA2? (meaning aside from I-134) Or will they inform me of what to send with my NOA2 Letter?

Sparrow-since you already rec'd your NOA2, did it come with instructions?

Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

    I love this thread!

    Hey everyone,

I just thought I'd drop in and help keep the thread active. Uggggh I was so expecting some April/early May approvals today, especially after those we had last week. By the way, congratulations to everyone who got approved!

Just wondering, once you're approved, how long are you going to wait to start gathering the documents to send to your fiance (I-134, pay stubs, employer letter, letter of intent, etc.)? I was thinking to wait until he received packet 3 so they would all be dated closer to the interview. What do you guys think?

Good luck to everyone. Keep busy :P, it will help the time pass quicker.

Being a "spoiled" VSCer who thought her NOA2 was going to come 2 weeks after NOA1...I had most of my documents gathered by the end of April.

But then as the months passed, I had to get more documents due to changing jobs and then I got the I-134 notarized on June 11. My cosponsor (my mom) is still gathering some of hers  but we hope to have a package ready to mail by the end of the week.

  5. Ok after reading all this I have to say...something smells fishy. Just the airport story alone is fishy. Anyone who's ever been to an airport in Egypt knows that no one goes inside the airport beside the person or persons who are flying. This story strikes me as very contrived.

What strikes me most about the responses to these threads is just how much the OP was able to get some VJers to spill their personal stories out so eaisly. I am not sure that was nto the purpose of the original post, but of course I am cynical. If the OP is legit, then I have to agree there are some pices to the story that just don;t make sense.

    DITTO!!!

  6. I am so sorry you are going through this. You call him your husband therefore, you are married..where did you marry? how long and how far along in the process are you? Did he ever come to the states? Sorry for the many questions.

Oh, as for me... We each buy our own ticket when we visit each other... when I go to him he normally pays for everything. I offer to/insist on paying sometimes... We communicate daily.

Don't be so hard on yourself... learn from this experience. Talk to him ASAP, perhaps there are things going on in his life that you just don't understand. If you still feel uncomfortable you will know what to do.

    Again sorry.

  7. So how many of you called VSC and what were you told? I was only on the phone 11 minutes--that's including going through the menu (went the RFE route) and waiting on hold for only about 2 minutes...and the woman who answered was very nice. She said my petition was stuck in security checks, but she also said nothing appeared to be wrong with it.

I called around 11AM EST on Monday. Prior to that I tried calling on a different Monday between 5 and 6, but just got your run of the mill USCIS drone because no one was at VSC and I was transferred...I was on hold that time for 45 minutes. If you call USCIS and they say no one is at the service center you're trying to call, just hang up, the drones aren't worth your time. lol.

    Come onnnnn NOA2!!!!!!!!

Did they tell you how long a petitions is normally stuck at security check? Just curious....

Best of Luck.... i am # 25 on the list and the wait is killing me!

  8. Absolutely no restrictions on travel outside the USA before entry on the K-Visa.

This question is a frequently asked one.

When you say OUTSIDE the USA does that mean my fiance should not travel to America before the K1 visa is approved (meaning during the process)??

The USA does not restrict a persons ability to travel. They can do as they wish before, during or after the visa is approved.

THANKS!!!! I was about to start :crying:
