I'm sorry to hear that 😞

We've had trouble in the past getting through to a human being on the phone support line, but we've always managed to get to someone with enough persistence and some combination of those phrases I mentioned above. One of the agents I spoke to said to try whatever you could to get through -- doesn't matter if it has anything to do with your actual support request, they'll assist you once you're connected.

Edit: you could also try saying "I don't have a case number." I think we had some success with that before.

Hi Momoejin. I'm not aware of any phone number other than the toll free number listed at uscis.gov (800-375-5283). It can definitely be frustrating trying to reach a human being using the automated system, though. We've had luck in the past saying "schedule an appointment" or "reschedule an appointment" or "make an appointment." Hope you're able to get in touch with someone, and good luck!

Hey everyone! Our case was approved on 6/14 -- sorry, I've been meaning to post an update for a while, but life has been exceptionally busy. We have a WAC case number (transferred to National Benefits Center last December).

The timeline for our approval was a bit funky. For example, we received the email notification of the card being ordered before the notification of our case being approved. See the timeline in my signature for more details. Also, we never received a letter or notification of any kind for a biometrics appointment prior to the approval -- the only mention of biometrics was in the email notification we received on 6/14 that fingerprints had been applied to our case. We assumed they reused an earlier set of fingerprints.

However, very strangely, we received a letter in the mail a few days ago for a biometrics appointment on 8/3 -- that's right, we received this about a month after our case had already been approved. It was addressed from the California Service Center whereas the physical approval letter we received last month was addressed from the National Benefits Center, so I'm thinking there might have been a glitch or lack of communication between service centers in the system. We called the USCIS a few days ago to inquire, and we're currently awaiting a follow-up response from a Tier 2 officer on this bit of weirdness.

Just had my interview this morning. It went great! Interviewer asked for updated evidence, both of our IDs and passports. We are also in the process of moving so she noted down our new address for the green card but also said to file the ar-11 change of address form. Interview was from 10.05 to about 10.30. As soon as I got back home I saw a case status update that said my new card is being produced.

Just wanted to update the group on some good news today. After 17 long months, we finally got our ROC approved without an interview. Good luck to everyone in the group.

We also just received the paper notice yesterday that preliminary review had been completed on our WAC case and that it had been transferred to the National Benefits Center (Lee's Summit).

Haha -- way to go, autocorrect.

The emails say "Your Case Status: Initial Review", but the exact phrase "Initial Review" isn't used anywhere on our online status at egov.uscis.gov. However, the online status includes similar language to what was included in the notification emails about the case being assigned to an officer for review.

I've filled in the RoC portion of my timeline -- there isn't too much information as we still haven't received a notice for biometrics (no appointment scheduled, no mention of fingerprints being applied). The email we received last night says we can expect to receive a biometrics appointment notice, so maybe that's on its way as well. My wife was on an H-1B.

We were guessing the move was to relieve backlog on the California service center as well -- hopefully the upcoming paper notice will include more information.

Card arrived in the mail, I’m really relieved and even weirded out about how we got such a quick approval compared to other January cases when they gave us such a hard time the first time around. Good luck to y’all.

Yes, that was exactly the last update currently displayed. However, I did get a letter in March to notify me that my (1st attempt) Bio Appointment was booked for April 2nd (or 10th, anyway right during the lockdown). The letter update was never reflected on the myUSCIS web app.

For clarity, my updates on the app are showing in this screenshot. For detailed timeline information, you can check my 'timeline' from my 'profile' if you click on my name.

    Nice, that's great to hear!

Still no movement on our WAC case since we received our NOA in late January, but we'll keep checking.

I am at WAC too but looks like from other posts, it takes long time to get bio notice at california service center.
