That's great to hear!  We filed for AOS in August 2019 and have been approved pending interview since October 2019.  No appointment yet according to the online case tool.  I'm hopeful we may be 4-5 months from an interview.

How far out did they make your appointment?

It was 3 weeks to the day from when the USCIS tracker changed.  Online tracker changed 3/17, got the email notification that the tracker had changed 3/18, and the interview was on 4/7, card in hand 4/14.  We got lucky and had the interview the day after our two yr anniversary so also got the 10yr card - definitely the only silver lining of waiting so long!  Once the interview is scheduled, everything happened so fast; you're really in the last month/end game at that point.

    Hello

Does Seattle Green card Whatsapp group involve i751 waiver renewal filers? If yes, how can I join it? Thanks for your reply.

I am a fmr member of that group.  There were not 751 applicants in the group.  Mostly, if not all, 485 applicants waiting on interviews and biometrics.

  3. One other aspect that affects some is the US "Exit Tax".  If your worldwide assets are large enough, you are subject to the exit tax after renouncing a green card after 7years or whenever you renounce your citizenship.  So, at least for us, the exit tax issue of not getting citizenship becomes moot after 7years on a green card.

  4. We applied for marriage based AoS in April 2019.  We have been "ready to schedule" for interview since May 2019.  Our case is very straight forward.  No interactions w/ law enforcement, husband is Canadian, we both make decent money (he's a physician).  Major city field offices are backed up and each has different priorities.  Ours (Seattle) apparently prioritizes employment based AoS and N400s.  Sorry to say, but this is just the way it is currently.

hi i have question which im not sure.my wife is a usc and im on green card holder will gonna apply for removal of condition end of this year.im out of work because of market closedown im out from work now. employer suggest me to apply for unemployment benefit.i am not sure if i apply for it.that will gonna count against me or that will be alright to obtain unemployment benefits?

My understanding is that unemployment benefits aren't means tested public benefits and so not a problem.  Also - public charge isn't a factor at the i751 stage.

it is based on 2019 if already filed, 2018 if not, so it was to our advantage to have already filed because now my wife is on it

Do you have a source for this?  We just filed TY 2019 - first time filing MFJ.  TY 2018 were filed separately.

The wording of the bill's text has not been updated officially yet, but here's what it said regarding eligibility:

So if you filed jointly, you must have been considered a resident alien for tax purposes, and therefore A does not apply. I'm just pointing that out as some people may incorrectly look at that in an immigration context, not tax context.

This is good to know as I had interpreted the original text in an immigration context.  I contacted out to our senators and US representative late last week to include my taxpaying nonimmigrant alien worker husband while our FB AOS is pending.
