We are not saying that she should not tell the officer that she has relatives in the US. We are saying that if you do things like send her money and/or affidavit of support, finance her trip over, and provide her with a place to stay for several months, it will cause suspicions. It will seem like she is not able to do these things on her own which translate to her not having strong ties to her country. When a foreign person that has a relative in the US that is willing to provide the things I mentioned, it will raise the level of risk. That is because there have been previous visitor visa holders who used their relatives in the US to come over and stay.

Very Clear, Thank you so much. She can do all the above. i am sure she can support herself during her visit but she doesn't speak english and she's coming here just to visit me and my brother so for sure she has to stay with us.

You don't do anything. It is HER and her alone that has to apply. There is no sponsorship nor petitioners for visitor visas. Your sister simply fills out the DS160, pay the fee, and attend the interview. She must show strong ties to her country. Most you can do is guide her on where to file.

The more an interviewing officer sees that a relative in the US is involved the more it will hurt her case for having strong ties to her country.

Thanks all for your support. And i understand everything you have just said. But why it will hurt her case when she say the truth. i am her older brother and i am a U.S Citizen. and i believe it's right to answer part of the form straight, because i am the one will be filing for her. and one of the Questions . if she got help filling her form. and also it may the interviewer ask her during the interview if she has anybody in the USA as support. for sure she has to say Big YES. because my brother and i are both U.S Citizens .

i am filling up  form online for my sister to visit me in the USA. but i am a little bit confused about the B visas . B1/B2 visa for Business & Tourism (Temporary visitor)

The B2 Visa for Tourism/Medical treatment, So both of them are the same when it comes to (Tourism) so which one should i pick ? by the way she is coming for visit me (her brother).

You are going through the exact process I did for my minor age 9 son last year. Yes the N600 is the right form because your son is getting citizenship from you (derived from US Citizen parent). He is actually already a citizen, but the N600 is a certificate that proves it. Just like getting a US passport is also proof (I did both).

I filed the N600 and then a month later, I applied for his passport. I got the passport before I got the Certificate of Citizenship, and I am more than happy to answer any questions because I have been through it recently and I wished I had someone to help me before I applied.

Thank you very much, you so nice and Kind. and if i need further question i hope you dont mind if i contact you. Thank you.

I think that sounds right and complete. I dont see anything that needs to be taken out or added. For the mother, the instructions say that you do not need to fill it out if she is not a US Citizen. "Complete this section if you are claiming through US Citizen Mother" ...since you are not, you do not need to fill it out.

I also wanted to reach out and wish you luck, as someone who has gone through the N600 for my son (see timeline) and there did not seem to be very many other N600 applicants on these forums. :)

Thank you very much lilsweetie. for your wishing. that part was driving me crazy because the mother still not U.S. citizen i was wondering if i have to fill that section up. you made it so clear. so i am going to leave that mother part blank then. and if you believe there's no more papers needed then i should be fine.

Now one more thing lilsweetie. because you went thru this thing. i want to make sure i am sending the right Form. am i right by sending N-600 form ? New U.S. Citizen applying for his miner child under 15 Years old.

    Thanks again

  8. Hello everybody.

i am sure some of you went thru N-600 process.

my questions are. what documents do i need to send with the N-600 Application.

here's what i am going to send . if there's anything else please feel free to post it .

    1- N-600 Application.

    2- Check of $1,170

    3- Two Pictures.

4- Copy of the Certificate of Naturalization (The Father's one).

    5- Copy of the father's U.S. Passport.

6- Copy of the Father driver license.

7- Copy of the Parents Marriage Certificate.

8- Copy of the Child Birth Certificate.

9- Copy of the Child Green Card on both side.

10- Copy of the Child I-94.

11- Certificate of Birthdays for both. the Father and the Mother.

is there anything else? or is there anything needs to be removed from the list.

the other question is. in the application part 4- about the U.S. citizen biological mother . the mother not a u.s. yet. do i need to fill up her information ? or just skip it ?

Thank you very much and have a great evening .

  9. Hello .

i have question and i need help please.

My friend's oath should take place this month and after his oath he wants to apply N-600 for his 5 Years son,  but the Father wants to change his son's name on the Certificate of Citizenship. So what he needs to do that? is there going to be form attach to N-600 ? or he has to wait for the child's Certificate of Citizenship and then go to the curt and change his name there?

    Thank you.

  10. hey Khaled. Don't worry Man, insha'allah you will get it. nothing impossible as long you working legally. Time will go by and Insha'allah you will see yourself here in the USA with your beloved one :) And Nah. 2 or 3 refuses should't affect you getting you visa as long you have all the paper they need. :)

    Good Luck.

  11. Hello .

As a U.S.C I would like to bring my brothers to visit me, but i don't know from where to start.

What kind of forms do i need to fill up and also about the time. how long it will take for them to have their visitor visa in hand.?

    Thank you.

  12. I don't know if anyone of you got my point yet. i am not talking how many Years or Months the visa good for. i am talking about "Now visa in Hand" but they don't want to travel to USA right now. they want to stay in KUWAIT for 6 months before they travel to USA. here's the question again. this visa good for how many months before to expire outside of the states not in the states.

i am thinking its up to 6 months. and then if they don't enter USA within this period of time. then the visa will expire and they are required to reapply again.

  13. Thanks everyone.

hey Darnell. i did not mean after entrance. i meant after getting their visas in hand. because they dont want to travel right away. they wanna wait a little bit. so i was wondering how long they can stay in home before travelling to the states.

  14. Good Morning everybody.

I am a U.S Citizen and i am applying for my parents and sister to visit me.

    My only question is.

after they receive their visas. how many months they can stay home before they travel to the states?

i heard good for 6 months before expire is that true?

    Thanks a lot.

  15. Hello.

I don't know if i am in the right forum. So i am sorry if i am not. (waiting for an admin to move it lol)

Well In 2011 i Got my U.S Citizenship and i am already a dual citizen.

and my spouse is an Italian-American.

So because of the long marriage time it makes me eligible to apply for an Italian Citizenship.

    My question is.

Will be there any problem for me as an american to apply for Italian citizenship ?

I am asking this to make sure i am going right.

Because i heard you cannot give an oath to any country after you become an american.

    Thank you very much
