I would like to ask a question for someone i know.

he's applying on a 5 year rule.

what DOCs. he needs to submit beside his N-400 Application?

he's been outside of the country for 1 month from the 6 years.

How many years of tax return he needs to submit ? Or what DOCs. he needs to take with him to the Interview? . I read somewhere he dont need Tax Documents at all, if he never been outside of the country for 6 month trip, if 6 months a trip, then he needs 5 years Tax return.

Oh, he has his 10 Years GC for almost 5 years.

Hi, i just got my passports days ago (Book and Card). and yes. i got that message, so before i received my passport Book in about 3 or 5 days, the status changed.

check my timeline.

dont send any Original Doc. send Copies. unless they ask for it during the interview.

There is a line above a decision cannot be made at this time that says, Congratulations, you have been recommended for approval! Pending final approval of course. But with that line, who is being approved? You, or the way your IO handed the interview?

There are no reasons given why a decision cannot be made yet at this time. Just a box that can be checked.

This attorney is talking about FBI checks, you already had that during your AOS stage, again for ROC at biometrics, again for citizenship at biometrics, if there were doubts about you at that time, why did they even waste time giving you the interview? I was with my stepdaughter when she opened her first bank account and she needed an FBI check before she could do that, it took them all but two minutes. Provided the banker could type in the correct information about that person. Recently purchased a gun that required an FBI check, must have been a real busy time, because that took ten minutes. So what is this attorney talking about with an FBI check taking so long? They spent billions on a super computer system!

But it only works if you type in the correct information, beginning to wonder if some of these USCIS can even type, some can barely speak English. In the case of my stepdaughter after I contacted my senators office, it was a miscommunication. Not being racist, but her IO was Chinese with limited English speaking ability. Is that the reason? Its bad enough calling tech support and talking to a guy that can't speak English, now the same thing with the government?

Then this attorney is talking about the NOA, good reason to send in a person check, that is the only way you have positive proof you sent in your application, have the canceled check in your hand.

Still didn't get in that letter of verification from the USCIS that there letter was a miscommunication, but very difficult for the USCIS to admit that made a mistake. Hope they don't keep us hanging on this issue. But still feel very strongly if they say, or just that single IO says, a decision cannot be make at this time, should be compelled to give you a reason. That is not the way to do business.

When u go to ur interview and everything go well, it's very common for the IO to say i need to review the evidence u submitted. or wants to talk to the Supervisor. .. thousands who got that. but with that they get approved.

as he said the interview was good and nothing went bad, but i dint see him talking about his arrest. but still, it's not a big thing to not stop the stop sign. i was driving 85 MPH on 55 MPH zone. with that, when i went to my Interview the IO, said. Beside ur speeding ticket have u ever been arrested? I said No. so she said nothing.

u can tell from the interview if went fine or not. but again about the arresting thing. I dont know. u need to bring a paper from the Court state that u are done with that case.

but still i feel he passed his test.

If you use Vj's search u will find alot of answer regarding what the IO going to ask u, but as some said it depends on the IO, if u applying on a based of marriage, then make sure to answer some questions about ur marital life, like .. whats ur spose doing now? what kind of work? something like that. its a basic things .. dont worry god willing u will be just fine

Hi,

Most people get their N652 letters stating they passed the test

and are being recommended for approval.

But then the same time It says "... At this time it APPEARS that you have established your

eligibility for naturalization. IF FINAL APPROVAL IS GRANTED, you will

be notified when and where to report for the Oath Ceremony..."

Does this the same for everyone who passed the N400 interview OR the satements are different for individuals cases.

That was scary, when i read my N-652. even i came here and i post it to see what does that thing means. but then i found out. it's normal every one get it, so dont worry about it, ur Oath letter on the way, God willing

How long did it take from application to receipt? Did you expedite your passport?

No expedite. it was Normal. I Applied on 01/31/2011 To Today 02/25/2011, So all together 26 Days. Forget the day i sent my application, so 25 Days. .. and still waiting for my Passport card and my Certificate as well.

Hello guys, well well well, after along journey dealing with USCIS. and U.S. Embassy, and from K-3 Visa to Green Card to Citizenship. Finally the time's comes. I just recieved my First U.S. passport book. and looks nice with the new design, And i am still waiting for my Passport Card. and my Certificate of Nat, ..

Now, what is the right way to sign it?

I received a little booklet with it, it says Sign your full name in your passport in ink

1- with what INK?? Blue or Black ???

2- should i sign it like the same Signature i signed my Certificate of Naturalization.?? or full name? .. i signed my certificate of naturalization = first name and the last name. i dint sign it adding my middle name. So when it says full name that means. including my middle name??
