    Hi everyone,

Can anyone please help me understand how the interviews work? I got DQ’d a month ago and when I log into NVC it says it’s in Montreal.

Do you need to register and schedule the appointment yourself on the website https://ais.usvisa-info.com or is it automatically given to you by the consulate?

If the consulate book the interview is it an email with the interview time/date Or a letter in the mail?

My case has been approved to be expedited, however I am now waiting for the interview and want to make sure I am not missing something.

thank you sooo much for the help!

Contact ais and they will tell you if your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. When I was expedited it was available to be scheduled for an interview and they helped me schedule it on the website and what to do.

Has anyone had to expedite their process and if so how much faster did you get an interview?

    Thanks in advance :)

Ours was expedited this summer.  DQ in Aug, interview  was the first week of October. I'd say it moved it up a couple of months but thats it.  And Ill add, the officer that interviewed us said he was the one that approved our expedite. He said we were VERY lucky as they RARELY approve expedite requests, but he knew ours had to be done and that it was then right thing to do.  If you have a very good reason, it can be done!

  3. Hi everyone,

I’m about to file my first report online. I already spoke to the interstate department that set me up last week and he said I should be able to file this weekend.

what do you all put online when it asks if you’ve been out of Canada and the reason, when it’s asking the questions about your current reporting period?

Hi, we’ve succesfully immigrated to the US and had our visas endorsed. We’re still in Toronto as we’re tying up loose ends here, hoping it’ll be all done by Spring. I’ve read that once the visa is endorsed we lose our provincial health coverage. Do we have to notify OHIP? And are there any other Canadian agencies we have to notify of our change of residence? We’re looking at naturalizing right away as soon as we’re eligible, so we want to make sure our documentation is nice and clean with no complications once the time comes. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

CRA for child tax or gst benefits, and yes Ohip

    forgot  to ask

    who holds the titile

some US states hold it till the lien is paid off / some let the buyer hold the title but it lists the finance company as lien holder

    what does Canada do?

if you don't have a title,  u would be able to register

I have the bill of sale, the registration is in my name. That’s all I have. We don’t have titles here

    either.

I’ll have to figure out if There’s a lien

I'm sure there's sooooo many guides around online and even on here... but does anyone have a reliable link to what I need to bring to my interview?

Do I need my joint sponsors original birth certificates? Do I need my joint sponsors/original sponsors original tax forms?

Slowly going into panic mode in anticipation of this interview 🥴

Also, Happy Canadian Thanksgiving friends ❤️ Very thankful to have all of you and your expertise and support going through this together.

Just a copy of the joint sponsors birth certificate is fine.

    Same with the tax return.

The consulates website has a list of what’s needed

Woohoo!! Happy for you!! I did have to submit an amended tax return at my interview, it dawned on me that might cause a delay in my processing. Just praying I don’t get shoved into a stack and forgotten about.

It shouldn't, I don't think. Does it still say READY on CEAC?

Hi all, had my interview on Wednesday and was approved. Ceac tracker is still saying “ready” and the visainfo portal says “appointment”. Is this normal? This process has conditioned me to worry about every little thing, and fear for the worst lol. Hoping for an update today so I can set my move date in stone

I had mine on Tuesday, as well as someone else I know. Ours all changed to Issued later that afternoon. Our visa info says “appointment” still as well. My CO did say it wouldn’t be printed until next week though.

  9. Hi everyone,

I am just wondering what everyone’s personal experiences are with medical turn around time?

I did mine on Thursday with Zatzman, and interview is Wednesday. There was a holiday this last Friday. I’m worried if it won’t come in on time. So I’m just curious what everyone’s turnaround usually has been.

I called the clinic today and they have the X-rays back but not the lab results.

Interview was originally scheduled for Oct 11,

but it was changed to Oct 5, the same day we did our medicals last week.

    thanks!
