Alexica got a reaction from Cornflake in OCTOBER 2019 AOS Filers
Hello everyone, early Oct 2109 AOS filer here.

Everything was going smoothly until COVID hit.
I received the “interview is ready to be scheduled” notification on January 23rd, and haven’t heard anything since.

I suspect more ppl are in the same situation. So I just wanted to know if anyone knew what the best step forward was with the massive layoffs incoming.

Also, anyone with the Seattle office and a similar timeline?

Thank you all, and best of luck.

    Alex

Hi everyone just wanted to share my journey. I’ve been following this thread for quite some time since i filled for AOS last October 2019 too.
    Here’s my timeline:

    Interview: 1/28
New Card is being produced: 1/29

Our interview was scheduled at 12:15pm we arrived an hour early and checked in, the security guards were very kind and helpful. We checked in and waited for our priority number to be called. Even though we arrived an our early, and were one of the first couples there, it still took about an hour for our number to be called. Some of the couples that arrived after us were called first, I think its because they follow
the order of the couples in their list.
We were called in by our IO, he was very professional and he didnt seem strict but wasnt too friendly. Anyway, he took us to his office at the end of the hall and asked us to stand in front of his desk. We were sworn in, and the IO proceeded to take my picture and my fingerprints. He then checked my husband’s ID and my passport, and checked the original copies of my birth certificate and marriage certificate, and citizenship certificate of my
    husband.

The IO then proceeded to ask me the standard Yes and No questions. Then he asked about our marriage:
He asked my husband: when and where we met, when we became a couple. That’s it!
He then asked me: when we got engaged, when me got married, if we had a church wedding, if we had a reception, and if we had a honeymoon.
After that, he then asked for proof of bonafide marriage. We submitted copies of the electric bill, gas bill, credit card (which he made me an authorized user), car insurance, joint bank account we had in the Philippines, his life insurance where he made me his beneficiary. He also skimmed thru photos we had over the years (it wasnt much: around 30 photos spanning 10 years) and Tax amendment with a copy of the tax refund with both our names on it.

He then gave me a paper stating that the interview was completed and that he needed to submit his review to the supervisor for approval.
The interview itself lasted about 20 mins with most of it consisting of verifying my papers with the original documents

I received a text this morning that my case was updated. When i checked online it stated that my card was being produced! My husband and I were so happy.

I hope this helps for anyone who is about to have their interview soon. Good luck everybody and thank you so much for all your help.
    God is good!

I checked on the USCIS case tracker today... and it says that a new card is being produced! Still in shock that my EAD expedite request was approved.
Good luck to everyone going through the process
