Hi community congratulations to all folks who  got their approval and prayers for the one still waiting .head up I checked my status online and found out that they sent approval letter Friday. I need your prayers because my case is complicated.I am in removal procedure with immigration court since 2008. I applied for asylum  and during my individual hearing the judge let me know that he will denying the case that’s when my lawyer told him about my marriage abuse. The judge than said he is not gonna make a decision till I file the VAWA. Once I got prima facie my lawyer wrote a motion continuance  to the court. The judge put my case in docket.

Now my lawyer said the government lawyer unlikely will accept an administrative closure.

question did anyone go through similar situation

what can I expect ? And how long it will take to adjust the status? How are my chances for a relief?

its really a nightmare since 2008 all my life on hold for too long

@sandra  I know your time is very valuable but really I need you to reply to my post please

I know of a similar case with a positive result. Happened long time ago to someone I know well. Congratulations on the I-360 approval! Based on this approval, it’s up to the immigration judge to decide your fate. Depends on the reason why they put you in removal proceedings in the first place. Yes, to live in the unknown like that since 2008, it’s really hell. My heart goes for you. Pray that the judge take mercy on you. Good luck!

Thanks you @portorusa for your reply and for your empathy. Hopefully as you said the judge take mercy on me. It seems the DOJ of the actual administration made it hard  for judge i to administratively close cases. I m wondering what’s gonna happen if he denies my aoj

  8. Congratulations for your approval hopefully mine will be soon . Believe me I was very patient for more than 10 years now I can’t handle it anymore became paranoid of loosing my mom without seeing her especially after my father passed away to be honest I don’t care anymore about what more could happen to me

Also it took so long and want get another RFE

  9. Happy holidays VAWA family

i was a passive reader for long time. Thanks to everyone  the one who shared the information they got and the one who shared their Timeline. Many stories are inspiring here. I wanted to share my experience hoping it will relieves me if someone got the same with a happy end. I came to The Us on 2008 I overstayed my tourist visa. In  jan2017 got married to a usc he was nice and caring few months later he changed became controlling and abusif he kicked me out of the house many times I had to spend the night in the car,  hit me, took my saving and messed up my credit. We filed i131 on March 2 weeks before the interview he withdrew his petition. I filed i360 on March with lawyers help she is pro bono. As today I m on my 3rd prima facie. 18 months I received RFE they were asking for the divorce decree back home from my first husband to be translated. I remembered  my lawyer already filed it the first time anyway i sent it again translated and certified. They received it on October 17th. Since then didn’t hear anything from them. Does anyone got a RFE after 18 months and do you think they may send another RFE I already lost my father without getting the chance to see him and my mom is getting older all I want now having more time with her I am really exhausted and depressed i feel my life has been on hold for long long time so desperate
