Hi all. I have been waiting for Montreal to open appointments since March 16th 2020. I don't understand how one of you is only waiting for a month or why you think a month is a long time?

To help explain in more detail. On March 16th I was asked by the Embassy via email to create an account here https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv and book an appointment. On the same day they closed down because of Covid.

I know people behind me in the process aka waiting to get that email from the Embassy asking them to book their appointment that haven't heard from the Embassy since early March. I don't understand how you heard from the Embassy when we are in the midst of Covid and only those with cancelled appointments are available to re-schedule. if that's the case, then thing are truly messed up on their end and they should be working with priority on applicants. That's not to say you are not important but if other people are waiting for that email since March, they should have gotten it.

Also, trust me, I can't explain how difficult its been to look at the screenshot you posted since March 16th when I knew I would be back with the person I love in only a matter of 2 months if it wasn't for COVID. I just hope that by mid November they will clear all the reschedules. According to my calculations, all rescheduled will be cleared end of November.

Also, they are seeing people Mondays and Wednesday - 6 per day. I hope this helps guys! Let me know how you've only been waiting for a month and when you got the email from Montreal that you are ready to schedule. I got it March 16th and like I said been waiting since then.

Hope you hear soon! Just wondering - where did you get the information that they are going to do Mondays and Wednesday’s?

They sent me an email directly with the new date! Instructing on what to do in regards to missing documents/expired but not to change. I basically yelled YES to confirm the new date haha

Omg congrats!!!! Mine is for March 25 so I am waiting anxiously LOL. Did the email come from the consulate or the Visa appointment site?

    Thanks!

I'm actually quite disappointed with how little they actually took. Only took the I-134 and not the I-864, no K-1 approval letter, no color copy of D-160 receipt with barcode, or even my police report! They only took like a third of the documents I actually brought with me. During the interview they asked if I had ever been convicted, which I said no and mentioned how I had the police reports.. they still didn't take them. I'm not sure what the DS5540 is, never came up as something we needed to file for the interview. Hope that helps!

Good to know! My interview is coming up real soon and being able to talk to people who had theirs recently helps a ton! My folder feels like it’s gonna weigh 10lbs at the end of it haha. It’s tough not to bring everything because it’s better to be safe than sorry.
I totally understand why it would be disappointing though!!! We took time and effort to get it all together the least they can do is take it LOL

    Good  Morning!

I'm a little bummed out this morning. I had booked a train ticket on Via Rail from Ontario to Montreal for my interview next Tuesday and due to all the First Nations protests, the train service has been cancelled "until further notice". Luckily I am able to drive there instead but I was really looking forward to 7 hours of movie watching and wine drinking before my interview the following day. lol

Aww man! Total understand why you’d be bummed. I would feel the same way! A train ride and driving bring two totally different feelings lol.

Congrats! When did you receive your P4... I’m still waiting on mine and my documents were sent the same day to the consulate as you.

I haven’t heard a response from the consulate since Monday and have sent a few emails. I am stressed now...

Thank you! I just received my p4 this morning via email and I know @UP488 got theirs yesterday. I sent my p3 on Sunday (got automated reply) and then tues (got automated reply) and then again yesterday morning where I got no reply at all. I was suuuuper stressed too but I am crossing my fingers that you will get it by the end of this week!

    Hi Everyone!

It's been really quiet in here the last few days. I just thought I'd check in and see what everyone's been up to!

I sent in my P3 over the weekend and resent today but have only gotten automated responses since then! CEAC even updated my case for feb 4 but I still haven’t received a specific response. Crossing my fingers and hoping to hear from the embassy soon..

I received my first ready on Jan 8th (Consulate received on Dec 27th) and the second on Jan 13th. I sent in my P3 on the 13th based on the checklist I sent you and still haven't received either an official P3 or P4 from them! I don't know about you but I feel like this step has been the absolute hardest to wait for.

As for the checklist, it's the only one I've seen floating around so it must still be current! :)

100% the hardest! We are SO close yet still so far away!!!! How did you know when the consulate received your file? Was it on ceac? I hope you get your P4 soon and you are able to set an interview date. Time will for sure fly by! Keep us posted :D
