For anyone who felt the urgent need to comment negatively this petition like they were politicians...I am going to tell them this: 
I am one of those who applied and got approved for a K1 visa and waiting to schedule this interview since this March. 
I signed the petition as it affected me directly and I truly believe that in THIS SCENARIO it's important and necessary they realise that the type of visa is family-oriented visa if not literally family-based. 
The DS160 talks better than I do so, please, if you are a spousal, worker, student or anyone else who applied for a different process and feel disappointed by this petition - I don't understand why but people constantly try to argue over random topics  that do not concerns them directly - just LEAVE this TOPIC. 
I don't want to sound undemocratic but seriously, are you a LAW SPECIALIST that you feel this compelling need to tell us the reasons why we should give up upon this request? 
Because it looks like you guys have probably misunderstood the goal here which is HELP EACH OTHER where it is possibile. If you think that this Petition is wrong for you, just move on.
I am sorry to say that, but unless you are the President of the USA I simply do not care about what you have to say over this request - if it does not affect you directly and your opinion conflicts with our specific case.
We have posted this petition in the K1 visa section, so why do you have to come here and derail our progress or tear down what we are trying to do. What is the scope? To enlighten us with  some knowledge that you think you may have because you have been reading forums' threads during the quarantine?
 
I respect other people's opinions and I don't want to act against the forum policies because what I have just said, but, you know,  I would never visit one of your threads to say "yes this is right, not this is not". We are on  the SAME boat in the end guys.

Just popping in to say that I wish everyone the very best for June. Be it an approval, a RFE or prepping for the embassy phase. Thinking of everyone. I know it's a tough time, especially with a lot of us not being able to plan a trip to see our fiancés. We've got this and the wait will eventually pay off. Our application is still at the NVC after two weeks. I'm not expecting anything to move very quickly right now so we're just finishing up our DS-160's today and then we will wait for the next notifications. I'm pretty sure that's all we can do right now. Am I missing something else that I should be doing?

We are waiting as well, was hoping our case got into this shipment.

Update: Embassy are still closed to visa application processing for the general populace to include K-1 and CR-1 visas. Some embassies have opened their interview scheduling calendars but very few. The embassy is giving a warning that the schedules could be canceled if the pandemic is ongoing. "your mileage may vary"

I agree. In the end everyone here simply wants to be with their spouses or soon to be spouses. I’m praying for good news today, because I’m honestly already struggling enough to stay positive and receiving bad news would be kind of devastating.

I honestly believe it would be great to create a group or something similar. It’s a difficult time for everyone that is waiting to finally be with their significant others. Now more than ever it’s important and crucial to support each other and be understood. 
As far as my knowledge goes, there are a few people that currently in the waiting list for the US Consulate in Naples.

You may get an e-mail that requests that you send documents to NVC, and they will schedule
your interview, which is a pat script sent out to "immigrant" visa applicants. Still, since the K-1
is treated as an "immigrant" during this process, you'll sometimes get notifications like this.
Just ignore them. You do everything with the Embassy once you are approved from USCIS with
a NOA2.

There is no rush to complete the DS-160 but I understand your frustration. Don't blame her. No one could have predicted what we are experiencing. This distancing will end soon, and things will begin to get back to normal at which time she can get the passport and you can complete the DS-160. Be safe out there.

You must wait till the embassy turns that function back on. Yours is not accepting payment or scheduling. You need to give it more time. 

Under normal processing about 2 weeks. Now no one knows. No need to get it anytime soon as there is nothing you can do and since you have the number you are good to go in completing the DS-160. I wouldn't pay the fee or try to schedule an appointment till you hear that your embassy is open for business again.

Yep. Way to early for checking on a case number when you just received your NOA2 recently. Give it a little more time. Maybe call again at the end of next week.

I have a question - is there a difference between NAO2s which say that petition has been approved and sent to NVC versus petition has been approved and sent to listed consulate, or is one just an old version of the text? I’ve seen differing examples online, but mine says it’s has been forwarded to the listed consulate and I am a bit confused about what this means! Thank you!
