So if I am reading this correctly, the Nvc doesn’t require police certificate for immigration from Pakistan? My sisters Nvc processing just started and they are collecting documents so I want to make sure I give her the right information. Thanks

Yes in embassy they dont even collect that now but its safe to get I but again now not a requirement...... if she has spent I think more than 6 months in some other country then clearance certificate is a must from that specific country.

Does NVC required Nadra marriage certificate.? And is it necessary to attest Nikah nama both original and true translation to attest from Ministry of foreign affairs?

I would not call it Nadra marriage certificate but yes a computerized version from your union council and need a UC stamp on it.... attestation from MoF is not necessary but translation required to be attested from notary public.... when you get it translated ask the same person to do it.

    Hello everyone,

This is my very first post here. I have heard excellent things about this website, so I thought I would give it a go.

I will briefly address my immigration situation here now.  My husband and I have been together for five years now. He is from Pakistan and I currently live in Ohio, US. We filed a K1 Fiance Visa Petition and were denied in April of 2019. At that point, I had been in Pakistan for a total of 1 1/2 years. The reason we were denied was vague. I was quite perplexed as we were physically in the same place for quite some time. The CO was quite rude and threatening to my husband. I did end up getting my local Congressman involved but, ultimately, we were still denied. I came to learn later that most K1 petitions are denied from that embassy. We legally married in Peshawar, Pakistan and I returned to America and filed the CR1 in September of 2019. So far, no NOA2. I have not been back to Pakistan since August of 2019 due to health reasons- an unexpected, severe surgery- and now Covid. I do plan on attending the eventual interview at the embassy, if we are approved by USCIS. From personal experience, how does a K1 denial effect the CR1? Especially at such a difficult embassy (Islamabad). I have heard varying things. Any input would be so greatly appreciated.

As everyone said you chose the right track now..... as far as evidence is concerned for cr1 they look good as you both have spent alot of time togeather in Pakistan.

From my personal experience going to interview is not a good idea because than it brings the issue of domicile which is a common concern in Islamabad embassay and also as far as I know they are not allowing anyone in interview not even spouse..... its better you being in Uas when the int happens telling you this from my personal experience.

But do visit Pakistan during this process as it is going to be a long one and these will help establish bonafide marriage.

Hey, I’m from Pakistan and recently got approval for expedite. My case is now ready, can you guys please tell me how can I schedule my appointment? Or would they send me a letter? I’m not sure what should I do? Is anyone here who recently got their expedite request approved? And from Pakistan? What did you guys do? Received an IL from them? Or did you guys schedule it on your own? TYI

You will see you status chanhe to in transit.... than in embassy after 3 days of that you can schedule your appointment.... you have to do it yourself you wont get a letter

I know, but the thing is; we need to find a co sponsor, gather all his stuff! This will take time because it’s not very easy to find a joint sponsor for us. So just to avoid further delay I was thinking to bring it to the interview instead!

I understand your point but then you also need to be prepared for a 221g if you take the co sponsor documents at time of your interview. Not trying to make you feel bad but this is how the process is

  6. As Ahmed&Fareeds said there have been instances where people have been called to an interview even with same kind of rejection. If CEAC says DQ than it is DQ'ed and they must be asking embassy for an interview that will take two months.

You need to put the co sponsor asap on CEAC. Co sponsor documents are also complicated with all tax details. Embassy needs time to review them, so if you take them directly to interview there are very high high chances of 221g

Hi everyone!  I going to.do joint sponsoring and I just wanted to know, I live overseas and haven’t worked in about four years.  What should I use in place of w2 forms (since I don’t have any?). Thanks

Rather than going with 1040 form , pay stubs and W2's..... now it is preferred to send them IRS transcripts. That are considered more authentic now and you don't have to put too many documents...... May be some other can also put a suggestion on this.

about income, the NVC said we might need a joint sponsor but the consular will decide.

my husband (the petitioner) 2019 income Jan-Jun alreary passed the FPG we needed.

    then August-Des 2019 is about 16k

do we really need a joint sponsor? can the cashable assets helps?

    thanks

If NVC is saying, please do add the joint sponsor. His income may be lower in 2018 tax returns. It is always good to be cautious rather then getting a 221g and delaying the process after such a long wait.

Hi. My interview was also on 30th aug. they asked me to upload IRS transcript of co sponsor. I uploaded the requested on 6th Sep. My last update date is 6th sep on the status tracking website. But since then the admin processing status hasnt changed and i didnt get any response from the embassy.

I was handed over a sheet, with IRS transcript required written on it. Nothing else was ticked.

I really hope i get my Visa soon.

Please update if there are any changes to your status.

While submitting the documents on CEAC at first did you not put tax returns and w2's at all for year 2018 of your co sponsor or you did put up that and they still asked for the transcript?
