Hi All, my original post was going to ask whether people that have had their biometrics done but still no word on EAD approval have tried calling USCIS to check their status and if it was to any avail. After reading the last few pages of thread, I have my answer 😅😭 I had my biometrics 10/22, PD 04/22 and no further word on my EAD, and not holding out hope for anything anytime soon! I feel for everyone out there still waiting on biometrics, EADs and interviews, this process has been a tough one but at least we aren't alone! (I am at the Cincinnati office in case that is anyone else's ASC!!).

We are literally on the same timeline. I’m in Columbus. My husband just got his EAD in the mail today. Has anything changed in the USCIS case status?

Hello! I came to search visajourney just for this! We are also in Columbus OH, my husband is applying for AOS from Canada and we have not heard anything about our biometrics appt and it’s so frustrating because I know the appointment is fast and they can’t possibly be THAT backlogged! We applied mid May and haven’t heard anything yet...I just want to know where Columbus is at in the process. All USCIS is saying is that we have to give them 90 days from the date the ASC opened (until OCTOBER 20) before we can really call to get an inquiry.

It’s so frustrating. I hope they can schedule us soon.

  3. Is anyone located in Columbus, Ohio? My husband still hasn’t gotten scheduled for biometrics. We got our NOA on April 20 but nothing yet. I know the offices were closed but they’ve been opened for over a month. I actually decided to go there and they were really nice and said they’re never full. There’s no line. Not that many people. So I’m starting to think we’ve been forgotten.

  4. Has anyone else been waiting over 4 months for a biometrics appointment after coming in on K1? We submitted my husbands AOS along with EAD, and got our first NOA. He still hasn’t been scheduled for biometrics and I’ve done a live chat, they said it can take 25 months but over the phone they said we can submit an inquiry after 5 months. I’ve also visited our biometrics location and they told me they’ve actually been pretty open. It’s never been busy. I’m not sure what to do.

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if meeting my spouse through my mom and his aunt a red flag? We are going through a high fraud country. My mom and his aunt are friends. Does anyone here have a similar experience? Thanks!

It really shouldn’t be a problem. I’d think it’d even be a good thing then since your families know each other.

I went to my 221g interview, the co officer told me my wife whom make 45k a years with a house hold size including me will be 3 can't sponsor me and I need a joint sponsor , which I found it hard to believe.is this possible?

If they have told you that you need a joint sponsor, then definitely get one since you cannot appeal their decision unfortunately. I've also noticed that your case has been in process for some years, I'd recommend a lawyer if that is financial feasible.

I found a program that is very useful and it answered your question. It's called Google. You search thing with it. So I thought I try it out on your questions and here is what I found.

    https://www.wideanglesoftware.com/blog/how-to-print-out-text-messages-for-court.php

You should begin using it as it will save you a lot of time. Good luck with your journey.

That was highly unnecessary. Obviously I have used Google and I decided to come here to find out what other people have done to get call logs, not text messages. I don’t think it was necessary for you to be rude about it. This is a forum for people to ask questions and you don’t have to make snide comments. If you didn’t have anything better to say, you didn’t have to reply.

How do you know if the embassy in Ghana Received your case from the NVC. does it get updated on the CEAC website or do you get an email.

You’ll see on the CEAC website that it’s Ready. That means it’s there but you’ll get the packet 3 emailed to the petitioner.

I DO HAVE THE PHYSICAL GREEN CARD AND MY PASSPORT WITH ME.

You should call or visit the US Embassy. There’s a form you can fill out to reinstate the green card. I believe they’d let you because you were a minor and left against your will. There will be a fee associated. I’m not too sure on all the information. I was hoping someone else may bring their expertise. But your best bet is to call the embassy n see what your options are.

I GOT MY GREEN CARD THROUGH MY PARENTS.IT WAS THROUGH FILING AND  MY FATHER TOOK ME BACK TO gHANA TO COMPLETE HIGH SCHOOL AND EVER SINCE ABANDONED ME BUT NOW I AM 21 AND I WANT TO GO BACK ON MY OWN.

You may no longer be a green card holder since you haven’t returned after a year of travel. Do you have the physical green card with you or did your dad take it back to America with him?
