About 4:30 this morning I got a notification from the old app that the interview was scheduled yesterday for my husband. Estimated completion date has been January 2021 pretty much the whole time. We applied May 22 here in Oklahoma City. Not sure the date yet ad we have not checked online nor have we received the letter obviously. We received biometric reuse notice December 17 I think it was (sorry baby has caused sleep deprivation so I can’t remember exactly). Will update when we find out scheduled date

Hello all, finally my Naturalization interview is done and the office was kind enough to offer same day Oath. Baltimore office.

I went in around 6:45 AM as my scheduled time was at 7 AM. I checked in and waited for around 20 mins and officer called my name.

Officer took me to the interview room asked my personal details, my eligibility for citizenship etc and proceeded to the Civics test.
    Questions asked were:
    1. What are two cabinet level positions?
    2. What age can citizens vote?
    3. What are the first three words of constitution?
    4. Why does the flag have 50 stars?
    5. Who makes Laws?
    6. What month do we vote for the President?

Once these were answered correctly, we proceeded with Reading test; Officer asked me to read "Where is the White House located?" I read it.
For Writing, Officer read out; "White House is located in Washington DC".

Once this was done, Officer proceeded with the N-400 form with all answers. Change of address, what my job is, my job changes, wife's job and all basic yes/no questions.
Once these were done, Officer told I've passed tests and have been recommended for Approval and scheduled to offer same day Oath which I accepted.

I finished the Oath ceremony was done in 2 hours and now Im finally a US citizen. Hope this helps everyone and I will also upload a Youtube channel (Offbeat Travel) about my experience. Do watch, subscribe, like and help others going through this journey. (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCB-xVdlu1kXkSezGPXvxPw)

Yay I got updated to oath ceremony is being scheduled!

My N400 interview 12/16/20 resulted in a no decision can be made as I had a pending i751. At end of December my i751 was transferred office, today got a new card is being produced (no interview or RFE thankfully) and the immediate update to my N400 case was approval and oath being scheduled.

So glad to be finally done with all the waiting

I checked hubby's account again this morning and it has also changed....from April 2022 to March 2021!! As others have said above, we'd be wise not to place too much weight on these estimates, but part of me can't help but hope this means something. A reduction of 13 months would be super.....

We filed my husband's N-400 application in May 2020. Initially, the estimated processing time listed in his online USCIS account was about eight months with an estimated completion in January 2021. In July, that was pushed back an additional ELEVEN months to December 2021. No explanation was given other than the standard "we are taking longer than expected to process your case."

We just checked his online account again this morning--the estimated completion date was pushed back ANOTHER four months to April 2022. That will be two YEARS to process his citizenship application. His ROC is also still processing and the 18-month extension will expire in four weeks. Total crickets from USCIS. I'm currently on the phone trying to schedule an INFOPASS appointment to get the i-551 stamp in his passport.

    I'm done!!! 😃😄

    May 12 - submitted form
    Nov 10 - interview notice
Sept 14 - biometric reuse notice
Dec 16 - Interview and oath
    Phoenix, AZ location.

The USCIS place is like an airport, you have to take off your shoes, jacket, belt, any metal, etc. So my tip is to dress conveniently cause people will be in line looking at you. The interview itself takes around 30 minutes. Mine started with the guy checking my documents and asking me about a ticket I received, but that's about it. Then he went over the "yes" or "no" questions that were also in your N400. Next came the civics test, then the reading portion (Which state has the most people?) and lastly the writing portion (California is the state with the most people).

After you finish you are asked to go back to the waiting room. From what I know they have an oath once every hour, but if you finish too close to the hour then you have to wait for the next one. I finished at 8:45am and was called for the 10:00am one. During the ceremony the main guy reads the oath and you say "I do". Then you give up your greencard (bye bye my precious) and you get your naturalization certificate.

Make sure your name, DOB, and everything else is correct on the certificate. If anything was wrong they would've changed it right then. But if you notice the mistake some other day you'll have to pay $550 to change it, so check!

🙂 Good luck to everyone who is still in the journey.

Had my citizenship interview today at Norfolk USCIS.

Process was pretty easy, biometrics taken, asked basic questions from form (name, dob, address, husbands name, his dob) English and Civics test straight forward, then the yes no questions from form.  He asked for any updated docs since application so gave him 2019 irs form, latest joint account, updated auto and home insurance and utility bill in both names.

After he gave me a form saying passed test but no decision could he made due to i751 still pending. He said would try to look at i751 paperwork this week, and let me know if needs more info. Said process from here could be few weeks to 4 months.

Told him travelling in March and my greencard extension letter (from i751 application from August 2018) expires in February. So he took my passport when stamped it with an extension until May 16th, 2021.

As left bunch of people outside with their naturalisation certificates taking photos. So had they reviewed my i751 before today I would have been finished with the process, as doing same day oath.

My husband's interview was today and he was recommended for approval. Online status says "Oath ceremony will be scheduled". Our estimated case completion date was December 2020......and it is almost complete within that timeframe.

Good luck to all.......wishing speedy process for all.
