NVC recieved our case on the 9th of October. But we couldn’t upload our documents for 10 days as the website was down. As soon as the website was up and running we uploaded everything. 
seeing people getting DQed the next day gave us so much hope. Since then I’m seeing people getting DQed everyday even those who sent their documents after us. I’m happy for them, but it disheartens me too when i check my email and theres no update from the NVC. 
Everyday we keep checking our email to see if NVC has reviewed our documents. Somedays 30 times.  Not to forget the added fear of a delay if God-forbid theres an error in one of the documents. 
This hasn’t just caused anxiety and depression but its also causing a strain on our relationship. 
 

Its a request to all of you, please pray for us. I’m praying for you all too. 🙏

If it's not ready, that means you will have to wait.

Yaounde is going to send you an email with the final instructions any day from now.

That's when you will be able to register and confirm the appointment.

As for the courier service, unfortunately that's not available.

She will have to personally pick it up when visa has been issued.

Thanks. Do we need to register for Courier service. I tried registering/confirming her  appointment online and it won’t let me saying not ready ... Maybe I need to be patient and wait a few days then doing it 🧐🧐🧐

I was contacted this morning by the embassy in Yaounde with the final instructions before the interview.

One of the points they insisted on was uploading evidence of a bona fide marriage alongside the other documents

during the NVC stage.

So I call on you to do some side loading when submitting.

Helps them make a decision faster per the instructions they sent me.

Luckily, I did that without even being told.

So here we go!

Read your initial email from NVC about the process. It would say to Upload your files not mail it.

Only Originals needed during interview: Affidavit of Support, Police certificate, Passport of Beneficiary, Police Certificate, Beneficiary’s  Birth Certificate , Marriage Certificate, other Civil Documents submitted , W-2’s  and etc if you submitted those rather than IRS Tax Transcript, Photos of course 😃 . Everything else copies/print outs 👍

Each “individual file” submitted must be 2Mb or less for each item needed to upload as stated above. The files you will worry more about going over 2Mb will be the pictures depending on how many you plan to submit.Thus the splitting of the files.

If you can scan and covert it to PDF or JPEG as one single file is best.  each item needed as individual files : Affidavit of Support, IRS Tax transcript, Spouse Passport, Birth Certificate, Police Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Photos of you guys.  Try to combine multiple photos if you can. File limit  for each document asked is 2Mb. There is the option to upload additional  files of the same criteria  especially  if you cannot compress the file down to 2 mb or less then split it

Order of things: Pay, Then Fill DS-260, then Submit required documents and photographs . They won’t look at your files till all documents are submitted though.  Important: The Day the Last Item is submitted into their system is the Day  “Your File is Complete.” That  is if everything you submitted are those things required. Do not put things they don’t ask for. That date will be the New date to look out for when they update on case dates they are working on each Monday

Got the Interview Letter today October 24th.

The Embassy needs me November 20th.

Case Complete October 9th.

 

Never thought this day will come so soon.

But we're all thankful and looking forward to get this whole process over with once and for all.

There is no date on the timeline to say when your case number is assigned so I put that date as they day I received the email with the case number. Sometimes we have to improvise lol. 

 

The next day I logged in and there was a bill to pay, so I paid it.

How did your case get received one day and then the next day you got your invoice number and bills etc. That’s a fast turnover .
