Just wanted to update my fellow 'adjusters':

We had our interview last Tuesday and were recommended for approval. The card should arrive in the mail this week

It's been a long and difficult journey but now we can finally look to some normalcy in our lives again. This forum has been an invaluable resource to us!

Amazing! congratulations for getting through the interview, that was a quick process!

    Thank you!!

Yes, I expedited mine on 09/28 with a local congressman. Never heard anything back for that request, and without even submitting a proof or getting a response back, It is changed now to “Case was approved” for both I-765 and I-131 today. Now just waiting for it to be mailed to me!

I guess that expedite request didn’t do much, but I just got lucky :)

    Good luck with yours too!

I guess so! I got a job offer in hand and I contacted my local congressman for the an expedite last week, I hope I get mine before January! Good luck in the rest of the process!

No, havent reached out to them at all.  I485, I131, and I765 were submitted last week of May, biometrics were August 20th and today USCIS site changed to "Interview was scheduled."  This is an office with a estimated wait time for I-485 of 12-26.5 months, with family based AOS applications being reviewed for August 20, 2019.  It just seems fast or maybe the interview was booked for 2023, but my understanding is once the "interview was scheduled" appears, its 3-4 weeks out.

    1.

Recept date for a case inquiry

    2. 10 Months to 18.5 Months
      Employment-based adjustment applications
      April 19, 2020
    3. 12 Months to 26.5 Months
      Family-based adjustment applications
      August 20, 2019

They do not schedule interviews for 2023 yet usually when you receive that notification it means your interview will be in the coming month (3 to 4 weeks after), I'm with the Newark field office I hope they do something similar to my case or at least send me my EAD soon haha!

Yeah I send my expedite request to CA congressman office, attached with an active job offer as well.

You should check your local congressman, call them and ask them to send you immigration assistance form ( or privacy release form) you’ll need it to expedite your case. Good luck!

Did you send just the job offer and a letter explaining your situation to the congressman? What did you base the request on please? I want to expedite mine and I have no idea on where to begin.

Filed first week of May. Biometrics done 08/03/21. Sept 16 i-485 case status changed to "Interview was scheduled". This is oddly fast, im so happy.

2 weeks ago we called uscis to expedite the EAD but instead i-485 case status changed to "interview was scheduled".

Wow that's very fast! I filed in the second week of May and my case status now is "Case ready to be scheduled for an interview".

My field office is Newark NJ as well, what was the reason you told them to expedite the EAD? and did you submit any documents please? I want to expedite but I couldn't think of any valid reason that I can get accepted with.

  7. Hello everyone,

My question today is just as the title says, I'm an F1 student, I'm still going to college and we got married and filed last summer, however, I didn't do the medical exams yet and right now with the virus and all the situation going on I don't want to go near any doctors or hospitals, the interview will be soon, but I want to put the application on hold or abandon it or even just go to the interview without a medical exam.

I would like to know if I do that, will I be able to file again after some months if everything gets back to normal since I'm still an F1 student? or will it be impossible for me to file again?

    Thanks!

Did your case status change to Card was mailed to you? Mines currently sitting at case was approved.

I had card is being produced, then case was approved, then card has been mailed, then USPS is delivering your card and they sent me the tracking number and then I got the card 2 days after receiving the tracking number, after that it was the weekend then Marten Luther King Jr's day so I got the SSN by Tuesday!

I am glad to see some people's cases are moving along. My wife and I are still waiting on interview notice but we are thankful her EAD arrived.

As a heads up to others, my wife's EAD and social security card arrived within a week of getting the 'new card is being produced' status.

Did the Card and the social security arrive in the same day? or was there a difference?
