Thanks so much for this enlightenment, @Josie333! So I guess it is a waiting game for us. Hoping that things get better as the days pass.

Thank you @JeanneAdil!
Yes, almost all documents are already complete. By the way, I've seen that the fiche anthropometrique has a validity of 3months only. Is this validity only for Morocco use? I've asked this since the other police records from other countrues are valid for a month. Kindly enlighten us with this please.

u will note the 2nd step after the petition is to apply for the visa / the ds 160 is actually the application for the visa itself
The Second Step: Applying for a Visa
The NVC will mail you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.
Thanks, Adil.
Once we have submitted the DS160, is it okay to schedule the interview ourselves (if possible) without receiving Packet 3 and 4?

Casa embassy goes back and forth on who schedules the interview
embassy or Moroccan / it can be either
but nothing will happen till the ds 160 is filled out
then the beneficary will get the notice of drs (also listed on embassy web page) and the 2 criminal reports needed
des casiers judiciaires
and a "fiche anthropomtrique" at the local police office.
the notice will explain all original documents that are needed from petition and bene
notice will explain how the interview is scheduled
BTW casa has a long wait time
DS 160 has been filled out but not yet submitted. Need to have the photo uploaded.
I am a bit confused since the applicant who was approved last Decemeber told us that they have filled out the DS160 when the Consulate/ Embassy sent to them their Packet/ Requirements needed for the interview. This, we haven't received yet. So, should we submit now the DS 160 already?
I am sorry if I have lots of questions, just wanted a little guidance from you guys, especially those from Morocco.

Has the transfer been approved? Typically, the consulate will not schedule a K-1 interview. It is self scheduled.
Yes. Transfer has been done. We already received an email from the embassy that documents have already been sent to Casablanca on March 29, then, status became "Ready" on March 31. As per the other applicants in Morocco, it was the Consulate who gives the interview date and not the applicant. I have also contacted the consulate (call center) and told me just to wait patiently. Just not sure if the procedure already has changed in Casablanca.

Most K-1s must schedule their own interview. Why does your profile say Philippines if the interview is in Casa????
The immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and money.
We have requested for transfer of interview in Casablanca since my fiancé is currently working there.

Hello! Our case has been "Ready" since March 31 and we haven't received any interview date from the Consulate up to now. Are there anyone here who are also waiting for their interview? How long have you been waiting?

What you want is the PSA copy of Certificate of Finality, ask your fiancee about this. Also you will want a PSA copy of the annotated Certificate of Marriage. << This is necessary for later at NVC and the embassy.

We have a copy of the Decree of Nullity, Certificate of Finality and Certificate of Authenticity

Single isn't quite true as she has been married. Check the divorce box, even thought annulment isn't actually the same. Must include the PSA copy of Finality with the I-129F
thanks hank. i have here decree of nullity from the court.
15 hours ago, MelOe said:If she is the beneficiary then the form asks if she was previously married, that would be a yes. Make sure you submit the proof of annulment with your application.
If she is the petitioner then I hope someone more knowledgeable can reply because the form indeed only gives boxes to tick and annullment isn't an option My gut feeling would be that if you tick the "single" box it might seem like she is hiding something, so maybe choose "divorced" and attach the proof of annulment? But like I said, gut feeling only!
i am the petitioner. i have her decree of nullity from the court

Hi everyone! I'm trying to finish up my I129F form. I need help in choosing her marital status. Her previous marriage was already annulled. What option should i choose? Single or Divorce?

You don't have to meet in in person, but it would be highly, highly recommended that you two meet and have some type of knowledge of each other. Reason being... immigration is extremely protective of underage children. And yes, they will be asking the child questions about you and how they feel about immigrating. The last thing you want is a child having harsh feelings and moving away from their, family, friends, and country. And the last thing an immigration officer is going to do is approve a case for a child that is not aligned with living with a stranger.
The thing that is more important than you meeting the child is how the child feels about you, especially a teenager. You have some time so you need to start working on some kind of relationship with your fiance's child so there are no complications down the road.
You have great point Unlockable. Thank you. He's turning 17 next year.

Hi everyone! I'm about to start filing for K1 visa. My fiance has a 16 year old boy. I've seen my fiance multiple time but I haven't seen her child in person and he's included in the petition. Do I have to meet/see her child in person? Will they need to see evidence that we met? During the interview, will they ask her son questions? Will they ask him if we met?

Yes.
On the I-129F if you plan to complete the visa process in Manila list her residence as her home in the Philippines, not Morocco. She can work in Morocco until USCIS issues the Approval NOA, and CEAC show ready status, at that time she needs to be in the Philippines to process in Manila.
Follow up question. Fiance also lived in Papua New Guinea. Can she get the police clearance now? Or do we have to wait for instructions? If she could get it now, it'll save us some time

Thanks for all the response! Can she still work in Morocco while we process the K1 visa in Manila?

What DaveAndAnastasia stated is for sure something to give serious thought to, I was not aware of difficulty regarding the K-1 with the embassy in Morocco. Philippines is not a difficult embassy as long as you follow the checklist and have a genuine relationship.
And if your fiancee decides to head back to the Philippines, she should make sure to acquire a police clearance before she exits.
@Hank Thank you. Can she still work in Morocco while we process the K1 visa in Manila?

... though in addition to what others have said, you and your fiancee might want to consider that Casablanca is typically a very tough consulate for K-1s, and Manila is typically a very easy one.
@DaveAndAnastasia thanks! Now I know where to start and where to proceed.

Waiting for K1 Visa Interview in Casablanca
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

Thanks for sharing, @bsoraya! We also called, but it's just thru the call center. And they just said to wait and they don't have any visibility when the consulate will schedule the interviews. We are nearing our 3rd month of waiting and I'm keeping my hopes high to receive a good news. I wonder if there are any other who were case ready before March 31 and still waiting also. I only know @ellienellie21 who has been case ready since Feb10, but still no interview date up to now.
