Actually that's a long time..whoa! You really should contact your representative..the current situation may have contributed to the delay obviously..they probably will end up approving you without interview..I sincerely pray for that!🙏🙏🙏 it's about time!

    @Stillwinning, I appreciate your kind words !

    Dear guys,

My I-485 got approved and card production is in place for me and my daughter without an interview.😂

I believe Corona virus played in my favor. It seems like they are cleaning their desks to reduce a backlog.

I've filed I-485 on November 20,  2019 with medicals, hoping that it will speed up the process.

My VAWA was approved February 14, 2019 after 2 years of waiting. Before that my first I-485 was denied and I've never even had an interview in a first place.

That is a blessing, that I wish for all of you awaiting your VAWA approval and Green cards.

Let's hope we will see more approvals coming our way!

    God is good!

    Congratulations 🎈🎉🎊

I got approved in September 2018

Got a courtesy letter February 2019

And silence after nothing after so not sure what's going on in Brooklyn NYC

Had contact the congresswoman in early January of 2020 and got back a reply waitng for interview.

Hi Maygirl ! I also got approved in September 2018, I haven’t got CL. Couple of times I did outside processing time inquiries but I didn’t get any response from USCIS. I don’t know how longer I have to wait for interview.

Hi i am actually waiting 18 months too living in Brooklyn

Made and inquiry by the Congress woman

After 30 days i got back a replay that my file is in queue waitng for available date for interview

Maygirl ! May I ask you one question. Do you have lawyer and you have got permission from your lawyer for Congress person inquiry!

Hi dear, what's your field office again? I'm assuming Brooklyn by your name..but the wait in that field office is not up to 18months..there's only one case I know so far that they waited even more for interview..but that's for the N.Y. N.Y.(Manhattan) field office. At least USCIS has assured all that the current pandemic will not affect case progress. You should keep pushing your representative. Is Yvette Clarke helping you? Try Senator Kirsten Gillibrand also.👍

Thanks for your response! My field office in Queens. How I contract with representative and Senator.

Hi guys,I did my interview earlier today. It was for 7:30 AM. I was called in around 8:35 AM or so. The lady that interviewed me was kinda mean or I would say overly professional and doing too much. She started asking me about my marriage... she was asking me specific dates of what and where my ex husband and I visited.. I answered her and she kept going deeper and then it started to irritate me and I told her excuse me Ma'am I am here for a VAWA- I485 interview and I don't want to be reminded about my abuse and I am not sure of so many dates anymore...It is almost three years. Then she was like she knows but my I130 was denied, I didn't come in for an interview with my then husband. So, I told her I did and I spoke with an officer who held on to my I485 and all that.. Then she said oh it doesn't say so in my file.. she Asked where I did the interview?I told her.. she asked me so many annoying questions.. damn! She moved on to the I485 questions after I cleared that my I130 wasn't denied, my case just went from that to VAWA..I answered all the yes and no. Asked if I was divorced now, I said yes, gave her my decree, asked for my medicals, and asked if I wanted to add anything else... asked where I worked, address, and updated my name because I changed my name back to my maiden name after divorce..

She handed me a letter that my case is under review, she will let me know if she will be needing anything else in the mail and if she didn't, I will be getting my green card. At that point I was like whatever in my mind. But told her thanks and have a nice day. LOL. I was not expecting any reply or approval anytime soon. I felt she will delay it for some reasons, and I didn't want to be bothered at all today... I have been having a bad week. I just wanted to go on with my day like nothing happened. I was still curious though.. tried to check the case tracker few times but it has been acting up. It is not refreshing. Just tried it few minutes back before writing this and I saw "new card being produced" I am so so happy right now. Finally over!!!!!. I am very thankful to God. I am in LA, and its 3:10Pm right now... I don't know when exactly my case was updated but I left their office around 9:20 AM or so. I want to give @Stillwinning!!!😊 a special shout out for all her support and I pray you get your date soon 😘. And thanks to @sandra and everyone that has shared their journey with us. It has helped me so much. Thank you guys! 🙌🏽 God bless all of you. And I pray for good news for everyone waiting for their approvals.

    Congratulations!

Hi. Just got back from my interview and it was exactly like yours!

Officer asked for birth and marriage certificate along with state ID.

The officer didnt ask any questions about the marriage.

The interview was about 10 min. My lawyer was next to me.

Officer said the she would review my case and i would hear from them.

The officer gave me a letter stating that they wouldnt need anything else from me and for my suprise, soon i walked out of the Plaza building in Manhattan my status was updated to :

    Dear VJ family,

Today I received my green card in the mail!

Thanks everyone for being part of the journey!

And for all those who are waiting still, don’t worry, your time will come. Stick with patience and prayers.

Additionally be proactive regarding your case. I kept inquiring about my case via congressperson at every stage i.e. VAWA reciept, first EAD, EAD renewals, VAWA delay, Approval notice, transfer notice and interview as well. Believe me, they ALWAYS act when pushed/asked by congress!

Thanks and God bless! Keeping you’ll in my prayers!

    Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊!

Yes, with the God's will- getting there.

So here is the timeline for Chicago office:

April 25, 2017- Filed VAWA application. Had 3 Prima facies extensions.

August 6, 2018- RFE for GMC & abuse evidence.

October, 2018- Received my RFE response

    January 7, 2019- VAWA approved

    January 11, 2019- Received EAD (C31).

February 1, 2019- Filed I485, I131. Included my medicals along with the application

March 11, 2019- case was transferred to another office.

    September 25, 2019- Interview notice

The online status didn't change since March 11th.

So average i would say 8 months from the transfer date.

Will keep you posted how the interview goes.

Thank you very much indeed for sharing this timeline  with us.

VJ family, hope you’re doing fine.

I went in for my interview and it was a pretty pleasant experience! Wait time was short too. I got called on 15 mins after arriving.

    IO was friendly and cheerful.

We went through my biodata and yes/no question.

He only asked for my medical records and then told me he is approving my case and I’ll receive GC within 4-6 weeks.

Whats odd is that he did not ask for my divorce decree. I went in prepared to only give what asked for.

I also submitted my BC name correction affidavit as well. Basically I had a sheet of paper explaining changes since I first filed the I-485.

He mentioned that low cost health insurance isn’t considered public charge.

plus he did not at all ask about the abuse, bless him!

And I saw a big brown VAWA file on his desk which means they do have access to our files even after adjudication!

I’m yet to receive approval updates. Case status is still the same.

Will update you all as I receive approval updates and GC. Thanks for being part of the journey folks! Praying for each and everyone here.

    Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈
