It was asking for the US address I will be staying at so I added my home address in Chicago. I mentioned to them that I will go there the next day and not directly after I landed in New York and they said that’s fine we just need the address where you will be staying in the US.

Thanks for the update! Really happy for you both and I'm glad it went smoothly. You've also lessened my anxiety!

For the address you filled out in the form on the flight, did you put your home address (the one you applied the visa with) or the address of where you stayed in Belgrade?

Hi everyone! Update for my flight Belgrade to New York:
just to give you a first idea on how smooth and fast it all went my plane touched down at 16:45 and I was waiting for my baggage at 17:06!
So during the flight they gave us a form we all had to fill that we had to complete our name flight address etc info and state if we had any COVID symptoms the past few days and if we have been in any of the banned countries the past 14 days. It also said we would have to quarantine for 14 days after landing so that didn’t seem fun.
After we landed I went to the passport control which was almost empty. I gave the form my passport and the K1 package as well as a copy of my vaccination record to the guy but he didn’t want the xrays cd.
he opened the package and then asked me to confirm my address. He flipped through the package and found a picture of me and my fiancé and pointed at him and said is this (name and surname of fiancé) I said yes he said nice and commented on the lake in the picture haha. Then he asked how much money in cash I have on me. Then he stamped my passport and said we’re almost done I just have to go to the office for the final check.
meh took me to the office and handed my papers and passport to the lady there. He told her “I already stamped her through so take her temperature and we’re good” which sounded to me like I was already done. Once he left the lady called me up she looked at me and my passport and then said “you have 90 days to get married” is said yeah we’re excited! And she said okay good luck bye and gave me my passport without taking my temperature or anything.
someone else with a visa From the same flight I was in was there next to me and he asked if he needs to have anything in mind in terms of quarantine or anything because of the form we had to complete and the guy laughed and told him “no man you’re all good we’re in phase two now!”
overall everything was very fast and almost no questions!
good luck everyone! If anyone is considering Belgrade I highly recommend the route and don’t hesitate to contact me as I have like a full guide by now to share!

    thank you!
I’m waiting for boarding to start. Checking in and baggage drop off took less than 5 minutes!
they asked me if I have been in the schengen zone the past 2 weeks and I said no, then she found the stamp in my passport from when I entered Serbia which was 16 days ago and she laughed and say oh way longer and that was it.
When entering the departures area at the police passport check they stamped my passport next to my entry stamp with an exit one and said nothing to me.
then before entering the gate they did another passport check. He just looked at my visa took a note and gave it back to me. My flight is Packed and the only stressful thing so far is that there is too many people around me! Of all the people in my flight I haven’t seen anyone facing issues when they check their passports.
I will update with hopefully good news from New York

    Hi everyone, remember me?

I'm now sitting in an air bnb in Belgrade, Serbia. After the heartbreak of being denied boarding in Manchester to Mexico last month, the relief of getting even this far is huge.

Some info on my experience for the journey from Heathrow to Belgrade for those interested:

Very easy, very quick, no questions asked. I had no bags to check; was straight through to security (recommended). No temperature checks, no health forms to fill out, no landing card needed. If it wasn't for everyone wearing masks, it would seem "normal". Flight was pretty full. Thankfully had an empty seat beside me.

    Arriving in Serbia:

Again, very quick and easy. Went a little something like this at passport control:
    - I give them my passport
    - They ask how long I'm staying
    - They ask where I'm staying
    - They stamp my passport
    - I leave the airport

    Nothing else to it.

And now, I wait... People in Belgrade generally don't care about COVID. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is open like normal. Barely anyone wearing masks. A little worrying, but what can I do? I'm being careful. Belgrade seems like a really nice city, I like it.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me.

Yes, I made it! Apologies for the delay, yesterday was my fiancé's birthday so we had to celebrate it!!

For those flying from Mexico to the US, you will have to complete an online questionnaire (afac.hostingerapp.com), take a screenshot of the final QR code and show it at the airport security check.

My flight arrived in Miami 40 minutes before ETA but POE was terrible. Even though there was almost nobody, I spent almost 2 hours in the interview room just because I heard the CBP officer in charge of my case saying that it's been a while that they did not have a K1! They were also confused because they thought I was directly flying from Europe. They hadn't checked my entry stamp in Mexico....... They wanted me to be checked by the CDC until I told them that I had spent 15 days in Mexico before entering Miami. It was so confusing. They then had to regularly check with their colleagues to ensure they were following the correct steps from their end, and finally stamped my passport. Our visa expires on September 2 but we were given 90 days for the wedding (until September 20). After all the craziness we've just been through, I assume you know that we do not want to risk it lol.

I still cannot believe we made it, everything looks unreal. Definitely excited to finally be able to start our lives together, without having to count the remaining days we have together like each time we would visit each other!

For those of us who plan to travel to an unrestricted country or who are still waiting for their 14 days to be over; I am sending you some good vibes and wishing you the best of luck for the rest of your journey! All my thoughts also go to the people who are in the middle of the K1 process. Hang in there, I really hope you will be reunited with your loved ones very soon!

Yes! I made it, I am sorry it took me two days to share with everyone but my port of entry was JFK and I had absolutetly 0 problems or extra questions, the officer didn’t even ask me for proof that I had been in Croatia 14 days.

Boarding the flight in Serbia though I was asked such question, I just presented my boarding pass from when I flew into Croatia and I was good to go!

Don't worry desperate impoverished Latinos ruined by the free trade agreement are still allowed in to pick vegetables on massive corporate owned farms for slave wages. Maids and nannys for the rich can still come too.

It's just our loved ones, highly trained and skilled people, and refugees facing death that are banned.

This is a common misconception about H1B spread by anti immigrant groups. I’m surprised to find this rhetoric here in a forum that helps immigrants. There are two types of H1Bs, highly skilled with masters or PHD from an American university. Go to any top STEM school, you will find majority of students to be international. These students later convert from OPT to H1B.

These jobs typically require graduate level degree, which is hard to find among Americans. The other kind of H1B is from consulting companies, typically from outsourcing companies bringing their employees on board. If you abolish H1B, these jobs will simply be outsourced. Companies will loose talent on important projects. The H1B median wage is $80k. So forget taxes. Most of these jobs will be simply moved to Canada or India. The 3 million unemployed are mostly from restaurants and other low wage workers completely unrelated to H1B. All this potential EO does is to get some brownie points among his xenophobic anti immigrant base who doesn’t want high skilled brown immigrants in this country.

I myself have a masters degree from a top US university and working on H1B and earn a salary of $110k plus bonuses. I didn’t steal anyone’s job. In fact the very first requirement of getting a H1B is to prove to USCIS that you can’t find any American to fill the job. They have gotten pretty strict about it recently. I was hired solely because my knowledge in my field. All my friends in H1B have a similar story.

Hi! I’m in Serbia and I have a stamp on my passport to prove it. My hotel also registered me with the police (something they All automatically do) anD gave me a copy that shows the address of the hotel the dates I’m staying there my name and passport number as well as date of birth. So if you come here and you ask your hotel you will have two ways of proving it. The “White paper” as they call it form the Police and the passport stamp

Belgrade to New York uodate: JFK still sucks but I entered on a K1. 🎉 it's straight forward to enter if you can work out spending 14 days outside of the restricted countries.

At Air Serbia's Belgrade check-in may have a wait because Air Serbia is reviewing your visa and where you where the last 14 days at check-in. It looks like most of the passengers were visa holders with many doing what we are all trying here in this thread. Air Serbia check-in asked if we have boarding passes to proove we were not in the travel restricted countries since we didn't have a stamp from exiting Schengen area into Croatia. Therefore I would suggest saving your boarding passes if you haven't already been doing it or at least print out a digital copy.

JFK was Kafkaesque as per usual.
Angry staff, conflicting instructions, confusing layout even with the new redesign, some flights got CDC checks, when I was sent to the room for K1 visa review only to hear other people being ushed out - it sounded like they were being denied entry, baggagecclaim took 40 minutes to completely unload the flight omto the belts, etc.

BCP didn't ask me or some of the other passengers anything of real substance,  or even look through your Visa-Consulate package. When asked where I was the past 14 days they didn't even ask for proof. (the opposite of flight check-in). CBP asks if you were screened by CDC. Dependingoon the officer you were told not to worry and they stamped you in, but other officers ushered us into a room where some folks casually asks where you were 14 days prior. When I responded with Croatia and Serbia, one guy said something to the effect of "That's one of the good countries" and told me to go back to CBP.

In other words it was as smooth as usual.

You should be able to book directly with Air Serbia.

Use Google Flights to search for flights if you have trouble. I was able to find a connecting flight from ZAG to BEG to JFK which Air Serbia's website wouldn't show me unless I had Google Flights link me to the flights. I even called Air Serbia and they had issues but once the flights were paid I called to confirm and everything was recorded in their database. 🤔

CBP or private security? Many US-bound flights have a private security firm screening passengers when they go for check-in. They will also be part of the (random?) carry on check while you are waiting at the gate.

The security theater is unreal for the US.

I made it to the USA from Mexico yesterday. On the whole a really easy trip, the only hicup was getting so stressed I thought I was coming down with a fever, luckily it was all in my head.

My POE was Dallas, no queue at immigration but I had to wait in a side room for about 30 minutes while they processed the passengers that arrived before me. Surprisingly there was no health check on arrival.

Thank you to everyone on this forum, without you I would still be sat in the UK waiting for trump to open the borders. Best of luck to all those still quarantining and all those planning similar trips.

Maybe it would be worth it to check for other flights that are not with klm through Amsterdam since it’s the airline that people have mentioned being more questioned than with others.
