This process is so unfair it’s almost unbelievable ! How can one service center like Potomac be 5-6 months and Nebraska 12-14 months !!
-
I agree ! But was referring to the service centers having different timelines. Why is Nebraska so much longer ?
-
Nebraska is the worst ! Totally not fair having different timelines for the same Visa ! K1 or CR1should all be around the same time frame.
-
Your so lucky you don’t have Nebraska Service center !! I’ve been told it’s one year just to get approved through Nebraska with USCIS 😔... it’s so unfair !!!

I’m trying to stay positive but honestly this is not necessary! Timeline for I130 on USCIS for Nebraska Service center is 12-16.5 months ! That’s just USCIS ! Doesn’t include NVC or Interview ! Please explain to me how that is necessary ?

Thanks Ipena , I’m 63 and need my wife. This process is very unfair. Especially if you are unfortunate to get Nebraska. How is that right to take twice as long as other service centers ?

Just want to check in , we are July 10, 2019. 104 days waiting 😢.. This process is really hard and having the Nebraska Service Center being twice as long is really not fair.

Fun fact - For Q2 numbers (Jan to March 2019) Nebraska doesn't actually have the largest number of pending cases, nor do they receive the most. Texas does. Potomac really does a handful of cases - it must be a small facility.
Chew on that. 😞
Supposedly it's based on beneficiary's country, though I believe petitioner's state has something to do with it as well. Every Texas and Florida case I've seen has gone to Nebraska. Could be selective though, I won't ignore my own biases.
How do you know that Texas has the most petitions ?

Aren’t some people still getting the regular service center initials also ?
-
Honestly I don’t know, it’s just what I read somewhere !
-
Oh yes please keep me posted. I thought it was like 400 ?

I think from what I read if you use the new form you will get an IOE # , if you use the old form you will get the paper system.
-
I read somewhere that everyone who uses the new form will get an IOE #. Not sure if that’s correct or not, but kinda makes sense. I just hope it goes faster with IOE, it’s really not fair to be separated from your spouse for a year or more. I was thinking about filing a K3, anyone have any thoughts about that ? Thanks

Does it help to file K3 ?
