Hi! I was also torn between these two, I also have a B1/B2 visa and I'm from the Philippines. We ultimately chose the CR1 due to values (like church wedding and all). I can feel your confusion too. But I have been told that it would be a bit hard or like questionable if you travel or visit to the US with the pending application (they wouldn't want you to stay beyond the allowed time). They said you should have solid proof. But hey, you gotta try right? Best of luck!

Just imagining someone not that savvy cracking up on this one 🥺

No problem! I felt really dumb when I asked this btw. 😅 good luck!

We received NVC DQ in November, my mom got an email from NVC in January that her case was submitted to the Philippine USEM, along with her interview schedule for Feb. 7.
However, I would assumed that it should be sooner than that, if there were not holidays in December
Oh that's a bit long. Yeah, I hope it'll be easier for us. We just got DQ after 2 feedbacks from them. Thank you so much!

I've also noticed that Direct Consular Filing were also included which were far faster than those that arent.

I'm not sure about the NVC, but to get an idea about Noa2 to Interview, you can click on immigration timelines at the top of the page and then set a filter for Philippines, and then sort by interview date.
You can also look at Manila consulate processing times here: https://www.visajourney.com/content/consulate-k1-historical/
The numbers don't seem consistent with each other to me, but probably I am misunderstanding something.
Hello thank you for your response. I have been doing that actually but yes, as you said, the numbers aren't that consistent. I have also checked the manila consulate processing times but we are under ir1/cr1 which ssdly they dont have any date to.
Thank you so much!

Good day guys!
I hope someone can give me some info or may be lead me to a thread for this? I was wondering how long it currently takes for an interview to be scheduled after receiving the notice from NVC that we got DQ and that they will contact the embassy?
Maybe some examples or a thread for this could help! Thank you!

We have heard again from NVC and we were excited since we already saw all "ACCEPTED" on the home page but then we received a message.
The message with subject "W2 Form" which says "Please submit every Form W-2/1099 on (Joint Sponsor's name) submitted tax transcript or tax return. I then checked the sponsor's page and the document of Form W2 for 2018 shows rejected!
Can anyone help me with these questions?
1. Do they mean I should upload the W2's for 2017 and 2016 too?
2. Why would they reject 2018? Just so I will know? I should upload the 2018 too right?
3. We won't be given an interview date yet right?
Please help! Thank you!

Don't! One of our files got rejected because of that. Upload them in different files. If you're sending form 1040 or your itr then place that on the required docs. You can upload your w2 in additional docs. As for the delay, we have been delayed for almost 2 months now, just because of that mistake. Hope you don't wait as long.

It starts different, you should recognize the difference the first 3 seconds, so keep hanging up and redialing. I don't remember the exact wording but you will know it is a different prompt with the same voice. Don't wait if you hear the same thing, hang up and speed redial.
Best luck!
We'll take note of that. Thank you! 😊

Keep redialing, until you hear a slightly different prompt, then it will take your call on hold and queue. You might wait on average for an hour to talk to a person.
We are doing it and still no luck. The prompt we're getting is where he starts with all the possible reasons for calling amd ends it with ".. we ask you to try back at a later time". 😥
Do you have any idea on how would the prompt differ from this one? Thank you so much.

Hi! We wanted to call NVC for an update but it seems that we couldn't get through the voice prompt before it hangs up. This is the number we called: 1-603-334-0700
Is it currently down? Or is there another number we can call for immigrant visa cases?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi guys! We first sent our files sept 10, 2019 and got an update on ceac on oct 18 asking us to change some docs and sent it on October 22 (since the CEAC site was down for a few days. Argh!) And now we're waiting for a feedback.
Anyone know the current time frame of re evaluating cases after giving the additional docs they asked? Also, when we send what they asked of us, is it enough to just click submit and wait?
Hope someone can help me! Really want DQ already. Huhu

Hi everyone! My husband and I are currently waiting for a feedback from NVC after they rejected what we uploaded before.
Back story is, they rejected the ITR of both my sponsors saying that they cannot accept multiple documents (uploaded 2 forms in one file). What confused us was why they approved the 2016 and 2017 ITR of the same nature(multiple documents) but not our 2018? I know our mistake in 2018 ITR. Now I'm afraid they would change the status of the other documents to rejected. Can they do that?

2. Tax Return Transcript
3. Wage and Income
4.Present company letter with company account pay stub bcz 1099 from this year
Is that ok bcz they looking for 2018 transcript and present work verification
I think that should be okay. Just upload them one by one and not in one whole file.

#3 the tax return transcripts. These are the ones they usually ask for together with the W2s
Thank you! So the W2s are #4 right?

Hi! We got an message from NVC teeling us about our tax transcripts how they are in one document (so we need to split them up). We sent the scanned paper transcripts from our preparer and just found out about the IRS site.
I'm wondering which ones to upload? There are 4 documents per year:
1. Account Transcript
2. Record of Account
3. Tax Return Transcript
4. Wage and Income
Which ones do I upload? Do I upload all of them? Thank you!

My son is in the Philippines right now, studying at Silliman University in Dumaguete and absolutely loves it! I'll be sure to crush the NVC for everyone, if I every get through to a live person...
He must be smart! It's not easy to get into Siliman! I'm rooting for you! 👏🏼

My joint sponsor has a husband who's already retired. Should I include a form i864a for him since they filed jointly? Thank you in advance!

I've been on hold for over forty-five minutes. It is 12:10 a.m. local time here in Japan, but I will stay up all night if that's what it takes to talk to someone.
We're not far! I'm from the Philippines and I will check on this page even if I have to log in again and again or sleep super late!
You're very patient! Good luck! You're our warrior! 👍🏻

You must not be familiar with how the US government works. Let's see, it's 11 AM now in DC on a Friday, so they probably will go out for lunch until 2 pm, then they'll play a game or two of scrabble and then they'll head home for the weekend.
Speaking of which, I am heading out for lunch....I don't know if I should laugh or cry cause it's true. Lol! 😂 to add to that, they'll probably slack off since it's the weekend. 😐
Anyone share their timeline between DQ and interview?
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
I have a CR1 application and just got DQ last wk. I was wondering how long you waited from dq to interview or when they have sent your file to the embassy?
I hope someone from Manila PH can share. I am aware that each embassy/country has a different waiting time. I just need to maybe find a general feel of it.
Also, do they notify you when it has been sent to the embassy but no date yet? Or they only notify when you have a date already?
Thanks!
