You don’t need to do the spreadsheet. Click on the VJ link below and complete your timeline. This adds to the VJ  site statistics.

Thank you much appreciated as I’m also wondering about what’s going on and the timelines really contribute to the big picture of statistics!

Do you have the link to edit the spreadsheet? I forgot how to do it.

Is this a guessing game for the rest of us? No one has completed their timeline. How about being a team player? Cc date? Category?

Sorry for confusion. I will add in the spreadsheet now.

  4. September also Mumbai Consulate preferred F2A category. One of my friends spouse got interview date for September 24th who had DQ on Mid June. It seems like lot of DQ with April ends and early May in CR/IR categories got ILs.

i thought that we do get letters through post which states everything about what needs to get done before interview like biometric and medical.

because without the interview letter your medical wont get done i guess.

i am not 100% sure. anyone got idea about this.

We will only get email with IL attached. We have to print the IL attachment and go for medical, biometrics and interview.

Has anyone actually bothered to reach out to their congressman/senator to inquire on their behalf with the Department of State?

    1. Go to house.gov
    2. Enter your zipcode under "FIND YOUR REPRESENTATIVE" located on top right.
    3. Go to your congressional representative's website.
    4. Click on the contact or constituents services link.
    5. Select problem type Help with a federal agency and/or immigration.
    6. Describe the issue and wait.

Honestly I had faster response when I send them a fax. I get an email back in 48 hours with a privacy release form. better yet, try to google the privacy release form ahead of time for your rep and send it with initial inquiry.

Doesn't matter if your rep supports stupid policies or orange cheetos. Note that the rep is not gonna do the inquiry him/herself their constituent services team will be doing it and they have their own process pretty much set up. They will do more to do anything to help their potential voters/future supporters.

I have already tried that. Haven't got a response from NVC yet.

@sherv How long did it take your friends ? Months wise to get an interview ?

Their interview is scheduled according to the priority dates. They filed the petition in March 2017. Recently we see a lot of FB visas scheduled than CR/IR visas.

Received a DQ mail on 07/20/19. At this rate, I may have to wait for another three months to receive an IL?

With current rate it seems like that.

  9. It seems like Mumbai Consulate is prioritizing FB visas now. A couple of my friends(GC holders) has got interview schedules for August for their spouses.

  10. Sorry, last time when I called I just asked generally. Today I asked specifically for Mumbai consulate. They are still scheduling for August for Mumbai Consulate. I asked for the cutoff dates but they said it is internal and can't be revealed.

When August interview date me are being set does this mean all those who are waiting with CCs in April and May will get ILs or how does it usually work? My CC is at the very end of May- and was wondering if i should just prepare for a Sept interview date ? Although ofcourse I would love an August one

When I called NVC last week they mentioned that they have already scheduled August interviews.

Thanks for the information @A&k 2019 please let us know if you hear anything. I think you will be getting IL before all of us in this topic since your cc is 25th April. Please let us know once you hear anything.

My CC date is 1st may 2019 still waiting for the interview

Did you call NVC? Are they delaying for spouses of citizens too? This is so sad to hear. I thought we will be hearing something in two months. Does anyone know what is happening with Mumbai Consulate?

    Hello,

So my husband's paperwork got approved by NVC on 6/21/19 and is now being sent to Mumbai to schedule an interview... I was wondering how long does it usually take to receive the interview date?

I called NVC today. They have already scheduled the interviews for August. Our case hasn't scheduled yet. So hopefully September or October. Please let us know if any of you hear anything.

  15. This is what I heard from a guy who has gone through the same process. NVC starts scheduling appointments in the last week of each month, once the consulate have advised them of the available appointments. That’s why people who were documentarily qualified early in a month usually wait a bit, but people who documentarily qualified closer to the end of the month can seem to get their appt set sooner. So if we call NVC around 2nd or 3rd of July we will be knowing if our interview is scheduled for August. Please let us know if you are hear anything.
