Will definitely keep my eye out for the once.
My one buddy flew to MNL 3 weeks ago and had to get a COVID test on arrival and then a 14 day quarantine once he got to Dumagette . We'll be traveling for 5 to 6 weeks, so the quarantine would be hard.

Anyone have an opinion on when US travel will open up? The wife and I are looking to going to Liloy, PH (Mindanao) and don't want to deal with quarantine.

Do you consider Diplog City safe for Americans? I have heard mixed reviews on the place. Or is it the surrounding areas tht are not safe.
I stayed in Lilloy, PH for three weeks, I felt pretty safe and registered with the Police Dept. We even took a bus back from Liloy to Diplog. I would say, ya have to play safe and always be on your toes.
No issues for me.

I have flown 2 times from NYC to Manila and then from Manila to Diplog City.
JFK to MNL; 1st flight as PAL - Little more expensive,,,but a great flight experience. Second time was with Air China....low price = low service. Travel within the country we used Cebu Air - Low price - but low service.
We are planning on going back for 6 weeks, as the wife and I recently had a son. We prey that this COVID thing lifts soon, as travel in the Philippines in not an option for Americans at this time. Moreover, getting from Manila to the province in almost impossible. May SURE you check, as my buddy has a wife there and went through hell trying to get back to his wife.

The AOS status is so slow these days. We are in Philadelphia, PA and still awaiting our interview. We filed back in January and already had a baby together.

Both me and my beautiful fiance landed safely in JFK Airport on Sunday. All is well and we are getting settled in. Best of all with your journey...

My fiance will be flying from Manila via EVA on Nov 24th with a 12:50 departure and a layover in Taiwan. Was wondering in anyone in the community would be on the same flight/

My fiance got a 221g and was requested to provide an undated Certificate of Good Conduct. Same was provided to the Embassy on October 30th. We are awaiting Administrative Processing for Visa issuance and are hoping same will be completed by November 22nd, as I am with my fiance in the Philippines and would for her to be able to fly back to New York City with me on November 24th. Anyone here have any experience with 221g processing in the Manila embassy?

My fiancee has her interview scheduled for 10/24/2019 at 6:45.
We have asked the embassy to sent Passport Visa to 2GO Mall of Asia in Pasy.
What have other experienced from timeline perspective, as hope to be able to travel to the CFO for the passport stamp and I am flying in on November 1st .

My fiance has her interview scheduled for the US Embassy in Manila, PH and we are seeking suggestions for a place to stay that is very near the Embassy at a fair price point.

For me.. I just keep my eye on the prize. I am truly blessed to have met an amazing woman that affords me the chance to have a second chance at an amazing life. Look at it as a team effort and I always remember how lucky I am to live in amazing country that allows me to invite her to come and be with me.

I hear ya on the wait for the AOS... But the K1 is stressful, as it keeps the couple from being together. The fact that there is a 30 day backlog is just crazy...
-
Thanks for your reply guys... Nothing ya can do except wait.. AT this rate the NVC process is almost as long as the USCIS process.

Our case arrived at the NVC Center on Sept 23rd and MNL Case number still has not been issued. When I call, they are telling me that they are processing cases they received from 30 days ago. What is the average time between NVC receipt of case and issuance of MNL number.
We will be dealing with the Manila, PH Embassy -

We got our NOA 2 on August 27th, and I believe the NVC will provide our MNL Case number this week.
We are hoping that we can move our case along quickly, as my fiancee would like to return to the USA with me on November 24th, 2019.
Any advise and thoughts with regard to getting the interview, Medical and CFO completed quickly.

The wife and I will traveling back the the Philippines in March of 2022. Hopefully, the covid restriction will conclude before our arrival. My question is, it will be my wife, infant child and me all traveling together. Would be able to quarentine together on one hotel room. Also thinking of flying into Cebu for a better experience...any thoughts. Our final drstination will be to Mindanao.
