It's an issue with the payment. Is the check under your name or your spouses name? Did you use category C9 for EAD?
Everyone misread the priority date part of a rejection letter. It has nothing to do with the K1 priority date. It means that since your AOS was rejected, they couldn't stablish your priority date for AOS as of yet...
The check was only under my name, because at the time I had not yet added her to my bank account. Would this cause it to be rejected?
I originally sent these forms with a g-1450, and I had the same letter.
I sent the I485, I765, I944, I864.
She is in her later 20's, therefore must pay the biometrics services fee.
$1225 is the correct amount?
-
I submitted I485 for my wife who came here on a K1 visa. It was returned along with the attached letter.
I called because I was confused about where it says that payment was missing or incorrect because I included a check for $1225 (which they obviously saw because it came back with a stamp on it). It was confirmed that this is the correct amount and it was suggested that I send it again.
So I sent it again, and to my absolute astonishment, it was returned again.
Also confusing is where it says "based on the information you provided, your priority date could not be established."
My understanding is that a K1 visa does not have a priority date. I included the I797 approval for the K1 visa, but the location where a priority date would be is blank.
Please help.

Congrats!! What was your RFE for?
I didnt answer a few questions on the I129f.
Whether we met through a marriage broker, and whether I have ever been subject to a restraining order.

I hope you fared well.

Her interview was today at the Rio de Janeiro consulate. It wasn't as I had heard would be. She told me that she showed up and gave them the documents, then they gave her a number. They reviewed these documents in a different room from her, where she was waiting with other people. Eventually she was called to a window and told she was approved. So it wasn't an "interview" at all in the regular sense of the word.
But I'm obviously super excited. Total time between I129f being received and today was just over 13 months.

It is most likely the site for interview registration. This although also can be different regarding the region (in my region it was a website starting with cgifederal.....
however ds-160 number would be on the confirmation page of DS-160, called “confirmation number”
I figured it out. Apparently yes, she was trying to schedule interview, but had not yet finished the ds-160. But thanks everyone for your help. It's a crazy time right now.

The DS-160 is the NON-immigrant visa application which is required with the K-1. As you setup your profile on ustraveldocs, schedule interview and such, make sure you do things under Immigrant Visa as the K-1 is processed as an immigrant visa.
Thanks

what website is that then?
The website that you linked to above. She says that it was the second stage of registration. But it was while she was trying to fill out the ds160

The DS160 is a form the beneficiary has to fill in order to request for the visa, you can do it here https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/
once she fills it, she will get a confirmation page with a number which needs to be downloaded and printed to show it at the time of the interview, and how it shows in your picture, you also need it to pay the fee
I dont understand what you said. My fiancee is telling me that she saw this screen after putting in things like age, date of birth, email, etc. It came to this screen. She doesnt know what to enter in "DS-160 number" in order to proceed further.

Search for it. This is asked a dozen times a week
I did. The only relevant result was my own thread.

It is, but we aren't ready to schedule the interview yet. That's why I need to understand what this date signifies.

Interview should be set by that date. But it can be extended by the embassy if needed.
Do you mean that the interview needs to take place by this date? Or that the interview can be after this date but must be scheduled.
-
What needs to happen by this approval date? This is my I797.
-
Shes in Brasil, so she will need to go the the one in Rio de Janeiro. Will they send a email or letter to her with instructions? Or only send this to me?
I received this on the 11th. But it would be nice if she would receive also in her native language.

According to my NOA2, my approved I-129F is good until November 4th. She needs to have her interview by this time, or only had filed her visa application?

Visa validity is for entry into the USA ONLY
Your understanding would be wrong. Many i485s are taking a year or more to interview. Since the i94 expires after 90 days of entry it is nearly impossible to have happen what you think
Thank you,
I am very happy to have been wrong.

What time frame do we have to schedule the interview?
The reason I ask is that my fiancee is trying to finish college before she comes her.
Her paperwork is currently on it's way to the interview, but I think I might need more time because I dont want her Visa to expire while she is finishing school, and I dont want her stay to become illegal because she had so little time left on the six months of the visa.
My assumption is that you have to receive a response on adjustment of status before the visa expires to be legal?
-
I know that her Visa will be good for six months from the time she receives this. And before this expires, we will need to file for adjustment of status. My question is do we only need to have filed for adjustment for 6 months have elapsed? Or do we need to have received a decision before 6 months have elapsed?
I hope this question makes sense.

Wait for the hard copy as it gives you specific instructions, at least you know what the RFE is for now so relax and wait for the hard copy. It should be along in a few!!!!!
This copy has all of these instructions. It just isn't the original

Two weeks ago on March 30th, I was mailed a RFE, but I have still not received this.
Yesterday, I called USCIS and spoke with a tier 2 representative who faxed me a copy of the form that was sent.
There were 3 questions in Part 3 that I somehow forgot to answer. 1) Did I meet my fiancee through a IMB? 2) Have I ever been the subject of a restraining order. 3)Have a ever been convicted of child abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse, etc....
I am relieved because of this because these questions are all a definitive "no" and are not subjective or open to interpretation.
It says on the front this faxed form that this is not the original document, and therefore the decision to receive this is at the discretion of the USCIS officer. Would you guys continue to wait until I receive the original? Or would you fill out the faxed copy and send this?

My I-129F was received on 10/24/18. Their website says that I can send one if it was received before 10/27/18.
But when I hit submit, I get an error, saying that my packet is still within normal processing times.
-
I called USCIS yesterday, I was told that they will be looking at my I-129F in a few days. The reasoning that he gave? Because the receipt date for a case inquiry was October 22nd, and this means that this is the day of I-129Fs that they are beginning to look at. And my packet was received on the 24th.
At first I believed him, I think mostly because I wanted too. But after thinking about this, this seems almost impossible. Especially considering that I've seen people on here who sent their packets in months after me, and already received NOA2.

Way too early for that. It isn't even outside of normal processing time. This is just how long it takes.
Oh yes indeed. I am only saying that I hope that my wait does not become so long that this becomes warranted
