True as true!  Best wishes...hope it works out either way!!

Thanks! I am very confused about how other people filed the packet the same time as I do already have their interview scheduled. I checked the processing time and found that their office acutally take longer for I485 than mine but I haven't heard nothing.. I hope I can hear back about the GC thing to take my mind out of this EAD expedite disaster. Now I feel like figuring out USCIS is like trying to figure out the black hole

To be honest, for what it's worth...

Before I launched my Expedite Request, I also contacted my Senators and all that.  They were, 10000000%, completely useless.  I have a feeling, if anything "happens", it's a mere, sheer, coincidence.

From what I've read just a few posts back, you're seeing that "uselessness" showing, as well...

Best of luck to you guys!  Prayers it happens MUCH sooner - than later!

Yeah I mean, I don't count on them to do the trick for me lol but it doesn't hurt to try... At this point I am just doing whatever that can be done and hope the thing will move along..

Did you talk to you companies about the EAD? when did you get your offers? I already rejected one and just got a second one yesterday which I really want :( I also asked for help from my senator at the same time when i requested expedition from uscis.  it's been 3 weeks and they haven't even updated anything yet :( May i ask when did you apply for ead

Sep 10 - got 1st offer and called USCIS to request expedite

Sep 13 - received email from USCIS for additional evidence and faxed in the same day; status changed to request is completed the end of day

    Sep 17 - got 2nd offer

Sep 18 - contacted senator's office for case inquiry

haven't heard anything. Now I am bout to get the third offer from a place I really like. I'd hate to give up on it because of some bureaucratic BS

Was anyone here in the similar case as mine? can you share your exp?

    - On September 6, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxx , was assigned to an officer for response.
    - On September 10, 2019, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxx
    - On September 10, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxx , was completed.

Expedite request was received on Sep10 and they also emailed me for additional proof. I faxed the evidence on the next day Sep 11. Last weekend I got an update:

    - On September 20, 2019, we received your request for expedited processing on your Formxxx. We are reviewing your request and will notify you if we need additional information. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I dont understand what is going on. The date was changed from Sep 10 to Sep 20 but the rest of that update is still the same ?????

I called USCIS and they said that is normal and all I have to do is wait. I got an offer letter recently and I really want that job. How do you guys tell your HR while you are waiting for EAD

I'm around the same timeline as you are. And I haven't heard back nothing. I got 2 offers already, but it seems like I have to deny both as EAD expedite is slow as . I talked to a tier 2 last week and they said if not hearing back for 30days, call them back again. What the point of expediting if this process is taking God damn 2 months at least???

I start to seek help from the senator's office. They are in the process taking care of it. Idk how long it will be tho

  5. Hey guys,

Got few quick questions here and hope some of you have the answer for me! My husband and I are currently living near DC, but we are planning to move to another state while awaiting for the interview. DC office is jammed with waiting time of 9.5 month to 24.5 month... So my questions are:

    1. Does moving to another state means our case will be transferred to another state local office to be scheduled for interview?

    2. If that's the case, will that make the waiting even longer? I gauge the case will be processed in the order of NOA date but I'm not sure. I appreciate a lot if you guys had the similar experience and be willing to share!

I can totally understand the frustration.  After I bared witness to the first Expedite request process, I anticipated the process for the second one (which did, in fact, proceed the exact same way).

My career (unfortunately/fortunately...lol) does elevate the necessity of this process progressing as “expeditiously” as possible.  Hence...

Just the same, hang in there.  So long as you provided an abundance of explicit proof and documentation, give the Officer the appropriate time to review your case - and the myriad of other cases - and it will get processed in due time.

    Best wishes to you!

I appreciate it! Getting EAD is the most stressful process for me personally because the financial burden falling on one spouse and potential jeopardizing my career for not holding a job for half a year...

Best wish to you too! Cant wait for the whole process to get over

  7. Hi guys,

Need some advice here.. I called USCIS at 9/10 to submit a expedite request, received asking-for-evidence email on 9/13, faxed in everything the same day. Here is my update from the website... There is no "next steps" info like others do. Should I be concerned?

I got a job offer with a small firm. So I was aiming for "severe financial loss to a person and a company" route. Wrote 2 pages of cover letter to explain the situation. Chances of getting approved?? I didn't contact my congressman as he is kinda hardcore republican... Man this is stressful

  8. Folks who haven't receive their 797 more than 20 days --

I talked to a 2-tier rep today and was told I need to email the lockbox support center lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov

to inform them my 1) tracking number, and 2) check number (if it haven't been cashed) to request a receipt number. If your tracking information has a name of whoever received it, put their name on it too to help with the investigation.

So I emailed them again. I hope this time they respond to me! I emailed them last week but haven't heard back anything.

I also asked the rep about mailing my packet to them again -- he said give it till 30 days. If I still got nothing, I need to call them and cancel all the request and my check of course, and mail them the packet again.

  9. @Mousey and @GeeRaf,

Looks like we are the only ones having the problem so far, and our mail delivered about the same time to lockbox support center. I wonder if in between the lockbox and USCIS someone ###### up and lost our packages (excuse my language as I am beyond furious with calling USCIS every single day without a response). I am literally thinking about sending another packet again on Monday and see if it will be processed. Let's keep in touch

GeeRaf, sorry about your husband's DL thingy. I went to DMV 3 times and waited 15 days to finally get my DL under K-1 because of some homeland security validation bullshit. Totally feel your pain. Hang in there and good luck to you! Like my husband said, you only have to go thru this once.

We just received the text message. We sent the package at the begging of july but we still don’t know how it got lost in the mail. Checking in on July filers. Good luck to all!

My tracking info said it was delivered but I haven't received NOA1 yet (16 days passed). I wonder if the packet is lost too... How did you know it was lost in mail?

    Hi guys,

I sent my AOS packet on July 3rd to USCIS Chicago lockbox. They received it on Monday July 8th. I wrote a check for $1225. It's July 17th and I still have not seen my check deposited nor have I received my NOA1. I'm starting to get concerned as I have seen others received their notification fairly soon after arrival. My wife's K1 validity ended this past Monday July 15th. Should I be worried and reach out to USCIS? Thanks for all your help.

Have you received NOA1 yet? I sent in at July 12th and the package was delivered in 14th. Haven't heard anything either.
