Hi everyone!
I really need some help. I recently just filed for the K-1 visa - Petition for fiance. I sent it on Thursday, 05/02/19 and it arrived on Saturday, 05/04/2019. I sent the form along with the required documents with a check from my bank. I recently had a personal emergency on Friday, 05/03/2019 in which I had to use some of that money that was designated for the USCIS payment ($535.00). I was reading online that USCIS may take around 2-3 weeks to process the payment and send the NOA1. I get paid every two weeks. I'm basically HOPING that USCIS doesn't try to take out the money until my next paycheck which is on 05/17/19. I am now deathly afraid of them rejecting the petition for this. I believe they try taking the payment again but I don't know what the time span is between the first attempt and the second.
Does anyone have any additional information or insight on this? Is there any hope for me that the petition won't get rejected if they can't process payment by 05/17/19? Thank you very much for any assistance or advice!
- Stressed Out Petitioner
They will reject and send you a bill for non sufficient funds.
You will have to reapply. They convert the check to an ach deposit similar to direct deposit and the check is cashed same day.

When was the last case number received from NVC, from a case which came from CSC? Anyone has any idea?
Call nvc and they will tell you if they have your case. My husband called last week that's how we know they got it.

RFE for 1 recent passport photo of petitioner...
Ah the feared RFE! Hopefully easily cleared, I'm just sad about losing time. We did submit 2 passport photos but my husband actually wasn't that happy with them so not sure if quality issue or they got lost.
Odd part was they requested Alien number in the back. He is USC but former green card holder. Do you think there's a risk USCIS is confused about that? Thanks!
I sent my natrualization certificate and the alien number is there.. not sure if you sent us passport or natrualization cert. I sent both and got no rfe for anything.

How long on average did it take from NVC receiving your approved petition to getting your welcome email.

That's if they even come back to change their timelines. Remember they are in a long wait they will forget to come back here to update.
And yes Potomac is more on the 3 months side.
3 months even for Potomac. Jan 11 2019 priority date approval came April 8 2019.

We mailed our package on 12 Feb and just received our electronic NOA1 on 21 Feb - case is going to Potomac. I've read that Potomac has been on a roll lately, so fingers crossed this roll continues through to us 🤞Hoping for a speedy process for all Feb filers!
Good for you! My husband's i130 was sent to Potomac, we got approval April 8 and NVC received the case April 15. We're waiting for instructions from nvc now. Potomac is a blessing.

Hey guys, hope everybody is doing well.
I just checked the processing time in Nebraska and it moved from.. 2 days only!!!
Its now on June 25 which means it take them 10 months to give the approval for NOA2.
I am devastated.
Can someone explain to me why the difference between 5 difference office can be so different?
Some service centers process more immigration issues, while others specifically adjudicate cr/ir1 or k visas.
Potomac don't do as many different cases as nebraska or texas.

Hello all!
My spouse and I were married abroad on 2/5 and I mailed our package to the Phoenix Lockbox on 2/11 (I had almost everything really ready to go!) Just received my electronic notice today (02/20/19) that our I-130 has been received and routed to the Nebraska Service Center. I haven't heard great things about that particular center, so my fingers are crossed that things move quicker than anticipated. My spouse is a Lithuanian citizen living in Norway and we are planning as much time together this summer as possible, hopefully that will help us ignore the long wait. Fingers crossed for all of us that have to endure this. ❤️
Heads up , Nebraska is a long wait.

We got our NOA1 in 2/4/2019 and our case got sent to Potomac. It seems like the processing times are always changing around, so no way of really knowing how long it could be I guess. My wife and I have been together for 6 and a half years. It'll be a long wait but we have to stay strong for one more year or so, good luck everyone!
Hi, Potomac is very efficient. I filed in Jan 2019 and got my husband's approval April 8 2019. It will come.

Today, i made the call the NVC and waited and waited and waited, until i gave up. I decided to email NVC with my query. Let's see if they have any response.
Yes the wait is usually about 25 mins. Don't give up, call and put the phone on speaker do other things in the meantime.

Hi guys. I'm a US citizen whose got married in Pakistan. On April 20, 2019, our I-130 petition got approved, and we received the I-797C Notice of Action form. The form states , "I-130 petition for Alien Relative has been received by our office for the following beneficiaries and is in process". I went to the USCIS official site and plugged in our case number and this is what it states - "On April 23, 2019, we sent your case, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address."\
What is my next step? Am i waiting for NVC to sent out further correspondence or should i reach out to them? thanks
Hi we got our approval on April 15 and we called NVC this week to be sure they have a valid email address for us. They received our case on April 22. You should call to see if they have your case and be sure there's a valid email for you.
