you can take anyone who can translate. it does not have to be certified translator for the interview
I know. I was looking for a professional because the interview is a weekday morning.

👋🏿Hello guys!!
We have our AOS interview scheduled and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a Spanish interpreter for the interview? I’ve heard they might separate us so I can’t translate for him.
Thanks!!

I just check the status again and it changed back to “ready to be schedule an intv” as of 1/10. 🙄 did you experience the same? it was “intv was scheduled” as of 1/8 before. i did screenshot the page. sigh.
That’s so weird. Mine hasn’t changed but I haven’t received the notice yet.

Hello guys!!
We just recently received our K1 Visa & we are planning to get married in July. I’m trying to plan ahead. What steps should I take to get the EAD the quickly? I plan
to file the AOS in July with the EAD & AP. Is there any way to speed up Work Authorization?? Thanks in advance!!

We have our interview this week! I can’t be there and I am a ball of nervousness!! I’m hoping everything goes well. I’ve been googling Visa Interview Questions. Does anyone know if the questions are country specific? Or what kind of questions were asked?

DR is one of the very few embassy that like and allow the fiance/spouse to attend. I don't think it's mandatory for you to attend but I heard they do like it for you to be there.
Did you schedule your own appointment or did they assign you an appointment??

Hi guys!
I have to update the timelines later today. So far I have submitted my I-129 to USCIS, I got the notification that it was received, approved, and sent to the consulate. I received emails from the NVC that we can start the visa process. I followed the instructions and filled out the DS-160 online. When I go to the traveldocs website to make our first appointment I keep getting errors and it won’t give me an appointment. Has anyone else had this problem? Also do I have to be present for the visa interview or can my fiancé go alone? Please help!!

It took 2 hours (1 hour wait, 1 hour interviewing). She went through the packet and verified some of the information(birthdate, mothers name, etc.). They asked some of the questions about communism, military, drug trafficking, polygamy from the 485 packet. They asked when we were married, about the wedding. They asked for original paperwork (marriage certificate, birth certificate). They asked for photos, proof of bonafide marriage. They kept the proof, so make sure to have copies.
