Well I assume that it is still in the wait list. What nobody can tell you is how long it will take, does that lack of interviews mean that those people are processing existing cases or has the whole situation reached a point where everything has slowed down. I assume he will not need to revisit the Embassy but could not travel even if they send it.

Yeah you are right!! Many of friends went home to visit their families and most of them can't come back to work.

He has 2 issues, Consulates are closed and he would not be able to travel anyway. Could be a wait.

Yes, I agree with you but after changing to AP on March 19th and changing it back to Refused, made us worried. We were hoping that they will finish his process as they started it on 19th before closing the embassies.

Don't read too much into it. They updated the wording recently to Refused for most AP processes. It's a text change.

Contact the consulate for specifics. If it really is refused, they should provide a reason (INA section) for the refusal. Most likely it's still pending completion of AP.

Thanks @geowrian .. Just trying to stay positive!!

  4. Hi everyone,

I am positing behalf of my friend.

My friend got 221G for his H1B visa interview and asked to submit the documents. He went for interview on 12th March and VO seems to be happy and asked to submit the documents and he submitted them. After the interview his case was updated to "REFUSED" and on March 19th it changed to "Administrative Processing" and on April 2nd it changed to "REFUSED". Now my friend is stuck in India as his passport is with embassy. Is anyone facing the same issue changing from AP to Refused after US closing the embassies in India or other countries?

    March 19th - AP

    April 2nd - Refused

With the Corona virus effect many of the international flights are banned in India.

    Thanks!!

  7. Hey guys,

I started my I-751 journey in Jan 2018 and my case was filed in CA center and I got a RFE and addressed it. After that case was transferred to NBC for interview. NBC sent my file to Indianapolis local office in Aug 2019. Its been 98 days i haven't heard anything back about interview date and I placed an inquiry and USCIS field office from Indianapolis sent a letter saying " case is under review". I am really frustrated and not sure for long i have to wait for interview. Does anyone got their interview dates beyond 3 months of waiting?  Thank you!!

Have an info pass appointment for Monday to get my passport stamped... My 18 month extension letter expires in a couple weeks.

I also submitted a second case inquiry for outside processing times... I submitted the first one last month, and I received a letter stating the Jacksonville office is still awaiting my ROC file... Even though it was sent on 7.3... We'll see what response I get this time. I am going to keep submitting an inquiry every month until it is approved LOL.

Hi Morgan! How to submit an inquiry to USCIS?

I would call and request an InfoPass appointment. Is your extension letter ready to record as well? You would need a 551 stamp on your passport (or another stamp if your stamp is going to expire.

    BTW your timeline isn't updated....

@bigjailerman  Thanks for recommending me to get 551 stamp.. I went to my local field office and got the stamp on my passport, in less than two weeks receipts will get expired and waiting for interview date from past two week...
