Im filling up my DS form, I have lots of Qs here help me pls.......

1. the DS form that the embassy sent me is expired, is it ok to use or download online?

2. In DS156 the embassy sent me it has no barcode, will I fill up online instead?how to get the barcode if necessary?

3.On Q#8 it says: other surnames used(maiden, religious, professional, aliases)------- Im annulled, will I put my ex surname on here?

4. On Q#9: other first and middle name used--------will I put my maiden name here?

5.on Q#17 there is no space for annulled, what will I choose?

6. on Q#22 when do you intend to arrive in the US?---------we have no definite day yet cause we don't know if when will they issue my visa

1. as for me i wil use the downloaded form so i can just have my forms printed with my informations. (the expiration on my forms are 9/30/2007. but my interview is on OCT 4)

2. there will be a barcode on the downloaded form (i think, coz i havent filled mine as well lol)

3. if it is not applicable, just put N/A. your already annuled so i guess you will use your original surname

4. ....

much better if you take your medical early. even a month before your interview. just bring your appointment letter, picture (2x2), passport... medical is a 2 day exam. 2nd day you will get your x-ray and vaccination sheet.

i dont think you can take your med AFTER your interview. if your going to take your med on OCT 1, i guess they will have to re-schedule your interview. someone correct me if im wrong. good luck!

flakeman1 im just curious what kind of spelling error did she have? coz it got me thinking on my name. the letter N on my last name should be Ñ not just letter N but they spelled it just the normal N. so im wondering if this could put me in AR?

It's been a month now, I still haven't receive the letter from NVC, I got our case# MNL2007xxxxxx thru calls to NVC, Good thing I check the visa IV and we got a schedules for Medical(sept 27) and Interview(Oct 5). Last wed my fiance' got her Packet 4 thru DHL Why I still haven't received the NVC letter and packet 3?

hi. there is no more packet 3 for PI. only packet 4. and about the NVC letter, it really doenst matter if you have it or not (i think) the impt thing is you have your packet 4 good luck

i use yahoo.com (yahoo messenger). its $2.99/month. i have my own US phone number. you can choose what number you want. depends what state your fiance(e) lives. we can talk as long as we want. the voice quality is good too. as for me i use blutooth headset from my pc so i can walk around my house even if we're talking thats for the incoming. for the outgoing i have a $10 prepaid (the same company, yahoo). i can call her anytime with just 1cent/ minute. can call up to 1000 min for only $10.

BTW they have a call log too.(good for the interview) ingat!

yes you can call your SO in the philippines but im not sure about the rate calling to phil. i think its 15/16cents per min. its cheaper if she is the one to call you. but she has to have a pc in her house. because as for me i always has a pc infront of me. at work or at home and my fiancee (USC) too tired to go online that's why she use her cellphone.

Hi I just wanna know if you are already ready with the documents? Are all those in folders already and ready to go> hehehhe. I'm still busy arranging the docs. I just received the docs that my fiance sent me visa usps (dont trust usps!) and had to personally get it from the main philpost, grrrr. its up to you but the more evidence (picture) that you can show them the better.

Got a problem here, I just got my passport today and they just found out that I've been using a different place of birth other than on my BC, the thing is I didn't bother to look at it before cause my mom gave birth in a city limit hospital, all my life I've thought my place of birth is where I grew up but not , today before releasing my passport they need an Affidavit of Discrepancy on Place of Birth, I know that I need to revise my NBI before interview, I don't know if this is a ground to be on AR ....

Any suggestions on what I need to do? Is the Affidavit of Discrepancy enough to show at the interview cause I think I wrote different place on the 129F petition also......

i think you wont have any problem in the I129F if you wrote a different address. coz you'll be leaving the PI also if you got approve. but someone correct me if wrong abuot this. good luck

packet 3 is a form that the embassy sends to the beneficiary for him/her to complete and sends it back to the embassy. (i thnik. didnt have packet 3 myself. only packet 4) someone correct it if im wrong. good luck

The USE version is from the point of view of a true nonimmigrant visa which uses the I-156 (Nonimmigrant Visa Application) as the validation form upon payment of the visa fee. This error is a technical oversight on behalf of our dearly beloved USE concerning the K1 Fiance(e) Visa. The DS-157 (Supplemental Nonimmigrant Application) is the form validated by the bank upon payment of the visa application fee for ALL K1 visas. However, that information is explicitly written within Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide, which is why we have a modified version of Packet 4. I have written the USE in hopes they would correct this technical oversight, but no action has happened to date.

i received my packet and they have modified the D156 to DS157 but they just marked out the DS156 and changed it to DS157 lol (handwritten)
