congratulations!! and thank you for sharing your experience at the USEM interview
-
hi! welcome to VJ! for starter you can check out the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. you can learn alot from there
good luck

If it was me, I would tell my inlaws to either
(a) go on the cruise instead
or
(B) postpone the cruise
or
© refund the cruise
because until my fiancee gets an approved Advanced Parole document in her hand, I won't let her near any border.
i agree with bszoom42. k1 visa is a one time entry to the US. better to cancel or postpone the cruise until you have your AP. though you can travel within the us territory. good luck

congratulations!! now get ready for medical and interview you can check this site for schedule

After returning the required Police Certificate from Japan back to the Embassy MJ's visa was approved yesterday August 15th. What a journey it has been and definitely a learning one also. We hope she has her visa by August 29th. Now it will be onto the AOS, how fun
I accidentally found this site one day and it was a blessing. This site is so helpful and in so many ways. There are some truly great people here!!
We want to thank all of those that have been so helpful and supportive along the way. good luck for those that still have interviews coming up.
Take care
Charlie & MJ
congratulations!!

So the medical is $95.00 us. What about children, same price? Jen needs 3 pics 2x2? She need 3 for her son also? She pays for medical at st. lukes on first day?
95$ for 15 yrs of age or older and 67$ for 14 yrs of age and younger. payment is being done on the first day of appointment and should be in Php.
3 visa photos for each applicant.
u can also go over with this link for more info.
by the way, what should be the size of the visa photos for medical? 2 x 2? thanks

guys just a quick question. if the pre-interviewer would ask for the affidavit of support, what would i give them? BTW im having a CO-sponsor. i will give him/her both I-134 from my petitioner and co-sponsor? should we need letter from the co-sponsor stating that they will be our co-sponsor or what? thanks
congratulations on the approvals and good luck for those upcoming interviews
When they ask for anything financial do as ading Helen said. Have a folder with everything thats related to finances [i-134 plus ITRs, bank letters, statements etc.] in ONE folder and hand it all the them.
Do the same with evidence of communication, photos, NSO certificates etc.
yes thats a great idea. thanks!

My interview has been scheduled for 10/2. My medical is scheduled for 9/25. I'm planning to take my medical on an earlier date. Is there a time of the month or day of the week that is better to take my medical? Otherwise, I'm planning to take it during the first two weeks of September. Should I St Lukes to reschedule my medical or is it okay for me to just show up -- no appointment needed?
Thanks
GOOD idea to take the medical at least 3 weeks early in case something pops up.
No need to reschedule. Just go with the appointment letter, 3 passport photos and your passport. Plus pesos in the equivalent of 95 US.
I had my wife and anak to the medical almost 2 months early.
Some people don't go to St. Lukes until about 1 PM and avoid the morning rush.
Still takes 2 days [if no problems] no matter what time you go.
If something shows up on your x rays you may be required to have a 3 day sputum test for TB.
I had my wife and anak get xrays for TB 8 months prior to their medical. Test for Hepa B also.
Gives time to cure TB before St'Luke medical.
Hepa B is a different story tho.
what happen if the patient got 1? (hepa B) wont be granted a visa? or get treated 1st or what?

thank you all for your responses

guys if the CO at the interview will ask where do we intend to live in the us and we answered specific state but later on decided to live on a different state. will that be a prob? i mean do we really have to go and live in the state that we told them?? where the USC stayed when filed the I-129F?
its like this, my fiancee lives and has a work in kansas but we're thinking on moving to guam after my interview and getting approved but wondering if it is possible for us to go directly to guam without going to kansas 1st. because as you know if ever the CO will ask if where do we intend to live in the US, i will tell him/her that we'll be living in kansas but "what if" we decided to go to guam instead. will there be a problem? guam will be my POE. guam can be officially be POE right?!?
btw my fiancee will be here on my interview
thanks

At PRISM ->
At the second floor. You may need to give them photocopies of your NBI, BC, and passport and show them the original documents.
S2 - picture taking and fill-up the forms.
S3 - film showing about a lady on fiance visa who went abroad (married a Dutch) after only a month of exchanging correspondence. She was subjected to abuses- making her pose nude at different locations (mountains with snow). Well, she ended up going back here.
USA Room - group discussions. They will discuss about what to bring (hand carry), the do's and don'ts of what to bring, differences of visa category and what to do when we get to the US with those visas. How much buggage/luggage allowed.
One-on-One Discussion: In my case, She just asked about my profession? If I will be working in the US? How I met my husband? Where and when we got married? Citizenship of my husband's ex-wife? That's it! Others were asked about the annulment or divorce decrees, if this apply to you, better bring some copies.
After this, they will give you the "YELLOW CERTIFICATE" (counseling seminar certificate). Have it photocopied before going to CFO at Quirino Ave.
At Quirino AVe-CFO ->
You will be asked to fill-up a form. If you will accompany your fiance, you will be asked to wait downstairs or outside. Better go downstairs since it is air-con there. You will need to show them the Yellow certificate (and the photocopy), photocopy of your passport and the visa (details). After that, it may only 10-15 minutes (I went there in the afternoon and there's only 5-7 applicants), and they will give you a GReen Certificate and stamp on your passport.
Good Luck, have fun and have a safe trip!
hmm so if im going to PRISM for the counceling and i got my YELLOW CERTIFICATE but i still dont have my visa. i dont need to go to quirino ave yet? am i right? pls correct me if im wrong.thanks

We started our annulment process in August 2005. We had the final hearing in July 2006. We finally got the copy at the end of Jan. 2007. But misspelled name had to be corrected. Hence we could not file till March of 2007 for the K1. I did not want to believe the lawyer, that it would take that long, but it did, and then some.
hi eddie&mary im just wondering what documents did your fiancee showed them on her interview? is the CERTIFICATE OF FINALITY different from the DECREE OF DECLARATION OF NULITY OF MARRIAGE? coz i think their both the same
