  1. Confused
Ayman Naser got a reaction from junkmart in Job without my physical green card??
Actually, the SS card is enough because the government issues the SS cards for permanent resident individual with no restrictions. For example, a tourist visa can apply for SS card and the government will issue it but it'll say on the card itself that the card holder is not permitted to work in the US. And , yes, the stamp of the entry is your green card number which permits you to work.

I was going to be cynical and say go ahead and do it but I have your best interest at heart. Do do under any circumstance try to marry your gf with the intention of taking her to the interview. You'll end up having the shock of your life when you are denied a visa. The system doesn't work like that so don't mess up your American dream. Lol.
Your best bet is first get your green card, then marry and petition for her. Your other best bet is just marry and stay put where u currently are and enjoy the marriage.
    All the best.
  5. Thanks

    hi

nope you can't do that, you were petitioned as unmarried, you must remain unmarried, once you enter the US, you can return to your country and marry your girlfriend. you then will file a new petition, and the wait will be over 2 years

DO NOT marry your girlfriend before you enter the US, you MUST enter the country as unmarried
