  1. Same, just got my extension letter today. I'm very interested in how many folks got an extension letter and soon followed it with an interview though... fingers crossed that's a pattern
  2. Out of the blue, a 48 month extension letter arrived today! Amusingly, it is exactly a year to the day since I got the 24 month extension. My ROC is at Nebraska/LIN service center. No status changes to ROC or N400 according to the online status page.
  3. Realized that today is 1 year since they received & acknowledged my ROC application. No movement there since May 2022 when they applied reused biometrics. Was hoping I'd get a wiggle of some kind on the i-751 with the N400 having being filed in January but still all quiet on the LIN front. No updates to the i-751, no new extension letter, and no N400 interview scheduled as of yet.
  4. This is an excellent reminder to get our ducks in a row in advance of the interview. It never hurts to be prepared! Best of luck to Mrs Sarge & others with imminent interviews ❤️
  5. Not yet, same as my last post. Nothing has changed in either case since biometrics were applied.
  6. Yep, my ROC status hasn't updated (applied N400 a few weeks ago) but I had biometrics applied to my N400 immediately so no appointment needed. Pretty much waiting to see if anything moves closed to April as that's strictly speaking my full eligibility due to the 3 year anniversary of being a LRP. And yeah, the status site has been very weird lately.
  7. Whoa that's fast! Congrats on the scheduling! Time to brush up on those questions & answers! 🙂 Fingers crossed a similar pattern emerges for the rest of us 😆
  8. This prompted me to take a peep. Mine was at 17 months right on submission, then 10 months after the notices got issued, and now it's down to 8 months. Very interesting! No changes to the I-751 yet, but I'm keeping a beady eye on it incase it gets shifted like Sarge's did. I assume that'll be the next big sign that something in the process is moving.
  9. I expect this means they put something in the mail for you. I got two such notices a day apart which I assume means they mail the receipt notice and then the biometrics reuse notice. I applied on Monday 23rd and just got my paper copy of receipt notice in the mail today, Friday 27th.
  10. I've been itching for the day I could apply for citizenship. The UK allows dual citizenship so there's no loss for me there. With Brexit, a US passport feels like it's much more useful than British one nowadays. If we move to Europe when we retire then, fair enough, we'll deal with the international US tax issue, but for me the right to vote and feel like I'm fully participating in life here in the US is priceless. A friend of mine here is German and has been a green card holder for over a decade. She's thinking of applying for citizenship, but told me that Germans have to get permission from the German government to hold a dual citizenship and there tends to be a time limit on validity so she's afraid USCIS won't process her fast enough to be within that window of permission. Naturally I'll be keeping her up to speed on how fast or slow my N400 goes.
  11. So my N400 filing window actually opened this month and I have now filed it online (super easy when the website actually works properly). Hoping that shakes things up with my ROC packet sitting in Nebraska. I'm assuming most folks in this thread were a bit more on the ball than me and actually filed ROC close to when their window opened so you're a couple months out from N400 window yet, but I'll let y'all know if anything starts moving.
  12. And already got a biometrics reuse notice show up in my account - that's fast!
  13. Finally got my stuff submitted, eek! So that's my N400 officially filed! I'm looking forward to this hopefully shaking the dust off my ROC application. Milwaukee was pretty quick in the past for my AOS stuff so fingers crossed once documents actually get to them we can get this all finished!
  14. Also genuinely curious to know how many of those 1-3% denials are due to the marriage being actually adjudicated by interview and deemed not genuine or just... technical problems with the applicant like errors in filing or processing, failing to respond to an RFE, missed appointments, and things of that nature. The ROC process is purely revenue generation at this point.
  15. Your main questions about the i-751 have been answered by other folks already, but incidentally if you're concerned about the expired green card and US domestic travel, your husband can present a valid state driver's license (possibly even a non-driving state ID card - not sure as I've never had one of these) as ID for airport security for domestic flights and won't need to show the green card at all. (Obviously still take the green card and carry a copy of the extension letter with him at all times just in case it ever comes up! You're supposed to have your green card with you anyway as an LPR.)
  16. Thanks! I was mostly just after a flatbed to get folded papers to come out flatter and thus clearer! it was hard getting a good shot on my phone even with clipping corners down on things I made photocopies super easy for ROC, but a photo of a photocopy? Don't really fancy trying that lol. All sorted now though!
  17. Ran through the form today and started uploading documents. Aiming to get everything finished, double checked, submitted and paid for tomorrow after I use an actual scanner to scan a couple of documents to a better quality than a phone photo 😂 This is a weird kind of stressful - this has been so easy and straightforward I feel like I've missed something important (though I'm sure I haven't!). Do you know what I mean? After all those massive forms and stacks of printouts for all the applications we've had to make along the way from K1 to AOS to ROC it's so weird being able to just... drag a file over and hit next.
  18. The London embassy page says; The ACRO page says; So, take that as reading the Embassy wants it to be 'within 24 months'. Check the ACRO site for estimates of how long it takes. I can't remember how long mine was pre-pandemic but I don't think I had to wait very long. I had everything in hand by the time I was having my medical before the interview. I'd probably look at getting stuff together once the NOA2 is in hand. For the second question... no. Never saw anything about that. Sounds like you're looking at a job interview page? You can wear whatever you like, basically. I went on the train in the height of summer so I wore comfortable temperature-appropriate clothing. I didn't have any issues getting in and nor did I get any questions or judgment about how I was dressed. I would say the other folks in the waiting area were all similarly attired - normal dress, nothing slobby but certainly not dressed like a job interview.
  19. My window opens in less than 2 weeks so I'll be sorting out my docs and getting ready to file a few days after it does (just to be on the safe side!). Are you guys all filing online? I figured that might be the smoothest way to do this.
  20. Do check what's in there before exam time! I only had Measles in my GP record and no red book for me, so I had to get the full 2 shot MMR and the TDaP. If you need the MMR you have to wait like 2 weeks between doses, so it takes a little ahead planning.
  21. Oh, honey, I'm so sorry you're being put through this. This one sentence really stood out to me. My dad treated my mum this way - kept her on the hook as a 'backup' for years. She was always wondering if/when he would decided he was 'better' or 'over it' and wanted to start the marriage back up. It never lasted when he did and she ended up in a bad state for a number of years. You're worth more than being someone's backup. If he's not willing to work on the marriage together, with you, while you're married - through marriage counselling and through individual therapy (for both of you) - then you should consider his decision final and focus on yourself. Build yourself back up. If you feel more comfortable in the UK because of your support network, return to the UK and stay there and pick your life up as best you can. You'll be able to move on if you let yourself. His weakness is not your fault. You didn't fail at this marriage - he gave up on it. You have to look after yourself foremost now. Close the chapter. Sign the divorce papers. Get your confidence back up and you'll meet someone else who wants to make a relationship with you work. Good luck x
  22. "Red Book" is actually an official record of vaccinations, from what I gather. Does it says Personal Child Health Record or PCHR anywhere in it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_Child_Health_Record It might be adequate depending on what's in there. While you can get necessary vaccinations at the medical exam, they will charge you for everything you get there. If you can work out what you need beforehand, you can get them in advance from your GP surgery and while you might still have to pay for some, it may be less than at Knightsbridge. You should then be able to take documentation from your GP to the medical and get your vaccines signed off, as I did.
  23. Yeah that sounds tough. I don't have any more advice, but best of luck to you!
  24. There isn't really a legal registration, but if he's genuine about doing it, I'm sure a local Imam would be happy to help guide him and provide a letter endorsing him afterward. How you two choose to practice (or not) that shared religion once you're together is up to you. It might help if you need parental/guardian approval to marry him in your country though? I say this as I have a family member who converted to Islam in order to get family approval to marry a woman from a Muslim country. He has remained a Muslim and they have been very happy, living variously in the UK and Malaysia.
