Yes, but does the top of the notice now indicate nonimmigrant?  Read it  closely

@payxibkayes it says non immigrant on top of the Admin processing. Am not sure if that is what you meant though

It is normal. Are you Non-Immigrant now on CEAC?

Not yet cuz I was  able to check it on Immigrant tab.

    What Rina explain is factual.

If your having problems with the CEAC site timing out when looking up your case it's because the system is trying to cross reference the immigrant case number with the non immigrant AA number.  You select Non-Immigrant from the drop down menu and select the proper Embassy location. Then you enter the AA number from your DS-160 number and presto...a much quicker and consistent response. The output is the same but you no longer have the problem with the system timing out while doing the search...

@Greenbaumi just checked my status, still on admin processing. But, how come case created March 5 and case updated March 5 too? Before case created was dated Jan. Do you have any idea what this means?

We didnt receive any email saying they received our missing document. They just need the tax transcript. But my case was updated today, but still on administrative processing

It was my option to send an email because had to make sure that they receive it because my passport is in there, and it is an important thing for us. I am on administrative processing as well, with updated case today (Feb 25). I am hoping it will make progress in the next few days.  I hope with you too.

Hello. Any update on your case? I’m on 221g as well last thursday. Feb 21. Sent the missing documents the same day

@Dia pe I sent an email to follow up. I sent my Cenomar last 18th. Manila consular office replied, just now saying that they received the documentation and referred the case to a Consular officer. Hopefully we will have a progress very soon. I am just getting anxious every single day. Good luck to you as well.

When you are at ceac.state.gov and you search for your status the first box has the "immigrant" and "non-immigrant" selections in a drop down box. You select one and see "what's behind curtain No. 1" and if it gets you an answer to what your status is then that is your immigrant or non-immigrant answer. When you can no longer get a status on immigrant but you can using non-immigrant then your status has changed and that's when you will know that you are close to having your visa. No, I don't know how long that will take and no one really does. Just have to have more patience.

As a K1, when checking your case online at CEAC.state.gov you have to select "immigrant visa" as it is treated like as such even though it is a "non-immigrant visa".

Technically the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but it is treated like an immigrant visa because of the AOS. It is kind of a ba$tard. Non-immigrant treated like an immigrant. Other non-immigrant visas do not usually end up with green cards!  The K-1 on its own is a single entry, short time limit visa that expires 90 days after POE. That is why it is a non-immigrant visa treated like an immigrant visa.

Got it.  Thanks, still AP on Immigrant.  Not yet close though.  Patience is a virtue I know 🙂

@payxibka answer is spot on. I can add that the PI is very good about getting the paperwork sorted out rather quickly. Average time is 2-3 weeks after receipt. Keep checking CEAC for updates. When your status changes from immigrant to non-immigrant you visa will be issued shortly there after.

This is a topic that is talked about all the time over in the sub-forum for the PI. Best place to get answers for specific questions pertaining to USEM and the process.

@Greenbaumty, but what do you mean when you say if the status changes from immigrant to non-immigrant?  Am on K1 btw, fyi.  Thanks

Please share your experience for those who received a 221g form. I would like to know more about it, because I received one after my interview because I was not able to get a Cenomar. Is it normal for them to ask bring back your passport with the 22ig form? Am kinda concerned. Tyia for those who will share their experiences

First, can you create a timeline and keep it updated.  It will be very helpful.  Next, is there any specific reason why you are unable to get a CENOMAR?

@Jay Jones the consul asked for the Cenomar, sent it yesterday and as I tracked it from the courier service they already received it. How long will it take you think before I can see any developments?
