I was in the same boat! But I recently just received the email from NVC regarding my case status info. Did you ever email them and try to get ur case number? My case was apparently returned jan 30, but I received an email from NVC Feb 11 with my case number. I was advised that it should be ok now since that email confirms the ready to ship to a USEM

No, we didn't email them yet, but my fiance will call NVC tonight to ask if anything changed... Congrats you got your case number!! Now at least you can move forward a bit! :)

So Just called NVC and asked them what embassy our case is being sent to because the status on the case according to the CEAC website was "At NVC" when I talked to the Lady she said that our was no longer at NVC but was sent back to USCIS. Anyone know why? Or has had a similar situation?? Really would like some help on finding out whats going on? 😕

Hi! We are in the same situation... We were waiting 35 days( NOA2 January 7th) just to find out that our case was sent back to the USCIS... Never asked why, but I am guessing it was a stamp 😕

On January 31 case returned to USCIS

On February 13 case was approved and few days later we got new NOA2 letter...

The worst is we lost 5 weeks for someones mistake and now we are waiting over again...

Good luck to You! Be strong!!

    Hi LaLaRI

We are in the in the same situation. Here is our timeline.

Approved and received NOA2 on Jan 7th

Called every two weeks to check on the status and was told the case had not reached the NVC.

Received an email on Feb 13th stating our case was sent back to the USCIS on Jan 30th.

Check the USCIS website and our case was reaffirmed and sent back to NVC on Feb 13th.

Received second NOA2 on Feb 16th.

Hopefully both of our cases will be corrected and sent through soon! Good luck!! 👍

I realize this is not much consolation, but after 6 weeks you can file a research request with USCIS as noted on the NOA2.   In the meantime, try calling USCIS a few more times.   The average is 23 days, so you're not much over, but my experience was that they gave me different answers when I called.   Most recently, the first person on the phone told me it's automatically sent the day of the approval.   That person transferred me to a Tier 2 representative, who told me it was sent on Feb 6.   (our NOA2 is Jan 18).   She also informed me that a letter was sent to me confirming this information.   A few days before that, a rep had provided me with an reference number which he said was a request to the California processing center to request a  status.    The calls may have had zero "real" value, but may be of some "psychological" value.

Yeah this is what we will do if nothing change in a week. I will give them few more days... Thanks!
