We had an RFE asking for my proof of income. I didn’t realize I had to send that as the USC. I submitted it with our K1 packet but left it out of AOS.

I call the number for USCIS (+1-800-375-5283) and follow the prompts entering our case number then there’s a number you can press for “an issue with your case” after you enter the case number and that takes you to an actual person. You can search this forum, those exact directions are listed elsewhere. Then once you talk with someone you can ask if they have details on your case, if not ask for a tier 2 officer and they’ll usually have one call you the same day.

thank you so much! Will do this

@ShahnazSyahr my husband and I are in a similar situation. We filed Sept 2019 and did biometrics in early October. Based on other timelines I do think it’s a long time to wait without update, even despite COVID. We live in NYC and have long wait times too but saw a lot of people (pre-COVID) with interviews scheduled who filed after us. We ended up having an RFE that we took care of in March. It can’t hurt to call a tier 2 officer to just check.

Hi! Thank you so much for reached me back. So sorry for the RFE, but I'm glad you took care of it already, If you dont mind, may I know what RFE that they need from you?

I see in the timeline in Baltimore they have really such a long wait, last time I didnt see any that has interview scheduled after my timeline, but you're right, probably need to call them. Where should I call them? The baltimore uscis or central uscis?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi, I'm a Sept 2019 fillers, we had our biometrics appt on 16 Oct 2019. Since then, the case is still "case was updated to show fingerprints were taken", we've been waiting for 234 days since we had our biometrics. Our local office is in Baltimore and I see there a little bit longer process compared to the other office. But we did received our combo card in early January. Does anyone here having same experience? Or there is something wrong with my case?

  5. Hi everyone!

Does any of you is from mixed marriage parents and you're a Consular Report Birth Abroad (CRBA) holder?

My fiance is having difficulty to filing form I-134 on this section. He should filing number 11b. But the only thing that he has is just the CRBA and passport, he didn't have Certificate of Citizenship number. So how can you figure this out?

We were planning to just attach CRBA on this form the filing on the additional information and leave this 11b blank.

    What do you think guys?

    1. My now-wife just brought my pay stubs and most recent tax transcript to the interview. She might have brought a copy of my most recent W2 too, but I can't remember. It was sufficient for the embassy. She didn't have any problems and there weren't any issues.

    2. The instructions on the similar I-864 (which you'll need to do for adjustment of status after you two are married here in the US) provide the following example:

Example of How to Use Assets: If you are petitioning for a parent and the poverty line for your household size is $22,062 and your current income is $18,062, the difference between your current income and the poverty line is $4,000. In order for assets to help you qualify, the combination of your assets, plus the assets of any household member who is signing Form I-864A, plus any available assets of the sponsored immigrant, would have to equal five times this difference (5 x $4,000). In this case, you would meet the income requirements if the net value of the assets equaled at least $20,000.

    https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

If the petitioner's income is sufficient, there is no need to provide any asset information.

    O wow! Thanks a lot

    What about bank statement?

  7. Hi guys!

I'd like to ask about several things related to the evidence for Affidavit Support Form to all of you who already passed this process :

    1. On point 8a-c, are all of the documents required/need to attached with the Affidafit Support Form? Or when the letter of employee mentioned that the petitioner's salary in annual already stated more than the poverty level of US, the bank statement and proof of assets is no longer needed?

    2. Do you think how much money that should be stated on the bank account to make the embassy so sure that the petitioners can fulfilled the beneficiary needed?

    Thanks a lot!

I didnt even get a notice for receiving NOV1 or not... 😭

dont find it more relief hiring a lawyer at all

My friend is a December fillers, well actually she was november fillers, her fiance send the I-129f package to their lawyer on November but NOA1 just received on 31st December. If you do it by yourself (like me and my fiance) it is definitely more complicated since we didn't know at all about the procedure before, but worth to try. As time goes by we get used to it.

Me and my fiance send our package on 3rd of November then we got NOA1 on 13th November, It's easier to track by us.

Please just get more often to check your package from your lawyer as often as you can till they get tired and finally they will work harder

we hired a lawyer and sent out our application ( to lawyer) in August 2018. in November they contacted us for more i-129 filing details : letter of consent from both of us, m name in my native language...
after that, no further contact or update from lawyer ever again....

    my questions would be...

what's your experience with hiring a lawyer? do u find it easier having a lawyer??

Do you get to track the progress when you apply all by yourself? our lawyer told us to "wait, we will let you know when we need you for next step".

Got experience from my friend. Better we take care of it by ourself. She spent 2500 bucks and got nothing. The lawyer was so slowww and finally she cut the contract and continuing by herself.

Hopefully your lawyer will take care of it till the end of the process

Other week gone! Who has that feeling? That this is week. 41 approvals for November latest one with a NOA1 Nov the 20th. Not bad... This week I hope they finish with October and they approve a bunch of novembers filers as well.

It’s coming! Have Faith! I hope everyone gets to have a great week! And for those in the east coast temperatures are rising. I feel that's the opening for our NOA 2.  🕶✌🏻🕶

All of the best for November's fillers. Keep check on your mail box everyday or your USPS tracking service when they scan your mail everyday before it comes to your mailbox. Will be no update on your uscis account, so don't worry about it. Just keep tracking on VJ's member timeliness and your mailbox. Then, keep praying for the best 🙏
